Placed an order for engine cover screws…

Placed an order for engine cover screws on August 29,2022. To this date, after 3 emails to Smart- Stuff asking for an update on my order, I've nothing but a conformation of my order. I asked for a refund after reading all the bad reviews about this company, no response back on it also.

Ordered TPMS 25 Aug

Ordered TPMS 25 Aug, never recieved confirmation of order or 4 digit order number. Tried chasing up 2 Sept via their contact page, no response, found a phone number today 01749 347777, which is unmanned, redirected to another number, which was answered, but needed the 4 digit code, which was never given, kept quoting "she was only an answering service"?? When asked when I could expect my part told 5-10 working days. If I wanted a refund it would take 10 days +. She will get somebody to contact me, not holding my breathe. Won't be using them again. Very poor customer service, with such a face/nameless company. Notice no retort's on here.

Lack of communication/ status update

I place a order ( 12982) on 18/08/2022, until now the status it’s always the same “ processing”.
I sent already two email asking for the status and got no reply.
The communication it’s really bad, or better, none.

Useless Customer Service

I ordered some lights for my Smart Roadster, and it was not until I received them that I realised that I had clicked on dip beam lights instead of main beam units. I rang up ans was told to put it on an email quoting the invoice number. This I duly did and did not receive a reply. I rang a further six times, sent two more emails and filled in the form on the website, but as you can guess no reply either by phone or email.
I have returned the goods, unused and still in the original packing, and had the parcel tracked and got a signature, but still no contact.
I am now considering contacting the trading standards organisation as Smart Stuff need to sort themselves out as this lack of response is totaly unexceptable.

This company is a scam

This company is a scam! Ordered 16. of june. Never got a confirmation. Sent many e-mails, but No responce. Found their phonenumber on Google. A lady responded that the parts were not in stock and would refund it. 2 months later: still haven't got my money (108,65 pound)

Very poor communication

I usually bought my smart fortwo parts with them. However, comminication is very poor. It's hard to get a reply from them through email. Recenlty I made an order on 23/7/22 and I haven't receive it until now. It's been one month.

Long wait and no communication

Placed order 7/28/22 and a nearly a month later and 2 emails no reply. Less upset about the shipment time as it's shipping to the USA but would at least appreciate there being a line of communication letting me know the status of it's ever coming.

Shocking experience with This shop…

Very poor communication with the seller.Ordered couple of items to complete the work but only received half of the order .Work cannot get completed so I requested the return of the item that was sent for refund .I was denied the right to return the item.The seller tries put blame on me for not responding to them when I really didn’t received any form of contact.I initiated the contact myself as order took almost 3 week to process.

Ordered 2 items, one was no longer available. Emailed asking if he wanted the second one still or to cancel the order. No response so I sent the one we could get (described as a coiled straight brake pipe on the listing he ordered from) and refunded the other. Customer complained he received a coiled straight brake pipe... somehow I should have known he hadn't read that part of the description!

I used the Smart-Stuff website to…

I used the Smart-Stuff website to purchase speakers for my Yr 2005 454 ForFour Smart Car. The website allows customers to shop by category, car model, year, etc to purchase the appropriate parts for their cars.

I used this website to purchase car speakers for my car. The car speakers that were delivered were too large and did not fit in the car's door panel.

I wasted shipping cost, shipping time and time removing my door paneling only to find that the speakers would not fit. I then wasted time arguing with Smart-Stuff that they should reimburse me for shipping and the cost of speakers. Smart-Stuff would not standby the accuracy of their website to identify the appropriate car parts. I had paid extra for what I perceived would be added value - accurate parts information. It too was a waste.

Smart-Stuff Parts is anything but smart.

PS: "Smart-Stuff Parts" response states that there were two options listed. This is not true - after following their selection criteria, there was only one part number/size offered for the speaker. Companies will make mistakes (as was done here). What's important is how they respond.

Customer had 2 options for his car, he chose the wrong one. Shipped outside the EU, box opened & sent what was ordered. Description clearly stated the size so a ruler could have easily prevented the issue.

I ordered some small steering and suspension items which arrived to me in Ireland very quickly. All items were correct and good quality. Very satisfied with the service I received also, especially for a low money order. I sent an email about my order that was answered quickly.

Smart knowledge at Smart Stuff

I tried this business to repair a faulty cabrio roof on my ageing W451 and I have to say that I found them very helpful and obliging, and not expensive either which was a real bonus. I will happily be using them again as the knowledge Paul has about these quirky little cars is very wide ranging and he's happy to offer budget priced solutions to issues if the circumstances warrant it and won't compromise safety.

Ordered a K&N filter, was told these are made to order in the USA & there would be a delay due to this. Couldn't read the many emails sent with the same info (also details this on the item page he ordered from right above the add to cart button!) It was sent to him about a week after he wrote this, glad to see it's been updated!

Great options, shocking service

We state to allow 10 working days and we will contact you if we expect there to be delays beyond this, today is the 10th working day. Our supplier has had some delays, these should have been here over a week ago but are out for delivery to us today. So as stated at checkout, 10 working days, we simply don't have the time to call back every person who doesn't read the info we put on the website & feel the need to chase within the timescales quoted by the site when they place the order & also reminded of when they called. In this case we had no further info ourselves!

not for EU : surprise taxes and no returns

Reading the previous comments (all posted within tree days) this website is good for GB people. But if you are in the EU you will have to pay extra taxes to UPS upon delivery without the website telling you (about 40% for me in France), and you will not be able to return the order if there is a problem. Looks like this website heading for a very hard Brexit!

This customer purchased parts from a UK site for delivery to France. As the UK is no longer part of the EU he wasn't charged UK VAT, instead his country has charged him import duties, this is normal, it is something that the EU & France has control over & not a small UK company.
It is clear at checkout when the price is reduced by 20% as VAT is deducted from the total when the shipping destination is chosen outside the UK and clearly stated in T&C that 'your country may charge import taxes or duty' and to check with the local Customs department if you are unsure.
It's clear he neither read this information nor checked and somehow this is our fault?
His order was dispatched promptly and if he pays the duties it will be delivered in good time too. It seems this customer is actually a Tax advisor, really don't know how this came as a surprise to him!

Cannot recommend Paul and Kate highly enough.

Cannot recommend Paul and Kate highly enough.
I trusted them to replace my timing chain and oil pump etc, they did a fantastic job.
However on the way home my car developed a oil leak, when returning the car to them it seemed I left the chain replacement a little late and a tiny hole had appeared in the timing case.
Paul only charged me for the new timing case, no labour or anything.
Away I drove a very happy customer.
Both are always available for advise, great company cannot recommend them enough.

Awesome Company

I have dealt With Smart Stuff now for sometime
I have dealt With Smart Stuff now for quite some time, I have found there Staff to be Incredibly knowledgeable Helpful & very Friendly. Nothing is to much trouble There an old school Company in my view They have values & there Customer Focus is Incredible. I would have no Problems in recommending them to all, There delivery speed is Outstanding & they go that extra mile I will use again & wish this company Every Success in the Future I will be a continued repeat customer many thanks Kind Regards Brian Dawkins.
