So, although I rarely write reviews, I felt compelled to talk about Stonehills Hairdressing in Welwyn. As someone with an unpredictable schedule and living between two countries, committing to a haircut appointment in advance is a big challenge for me. That’s why the mobile hair salon from Stonehills, or "The Beast" as I like to call it, has been a total game-changer for me. They’ve been super flexible, accommodating every crazy request I've made, both in terms of location as well as time—more than once, Mike's even given me a fresh cut at midnight!

It completely feels like a luxury on-set hair studio. The setup inside is awesome—two stations, a wash basin, Nespresso coffee, music and luxury materials that make it comfortable and convenient without feeling cramped (seriously, it's like the Tardis and they thought of everything). And a big shout out to my hairdresser Mike Paraliki—an absolute legend when it comes to hair, and just a joy to chat with and be around. If you’re ever in need of a haircut on the fly, trust me, I can’t recommend "The Beast" enough!

Today my second visit to your salon not for me but for my close friend which she did hair and cut put her weg on, we are so amazed and Greatful the staffs in stone hills Welwyn garden city branch is very friendly and helpful.Well done

I had my hair done at Stonehills for the first time on Saturday. It was a great experience from the start the salon had a really friendly atmosphere and was very welcoming. Heidi was brilliant - she was realistic with me about what we could achieve and she delivered an amazing transformation! I have had so many comments on how much the new colour and style suits me and my hair looks and feels SO much healthier! Thank you so much Heidi! I can’t wait to come back on the next part of my hair journey!

Michael is a very talented hairstylist. He suggested a beautiful hairstyle that well suited to my facial features and changed my entire look with extensions added. I absolutely love it!

I booked an appointment on a Friday evening with the idea of pampering myself after a long week at work.
This was my first visit at Stonehills, I usually go to Greys, and I had some expectations, considering that the prices are higher, so I expected a nice treatment. I booked an appointment with Naeve and although she seems like a perfectly lovely girl, my experience from this visit was very disappointing to say the least.
Starting with the wash, she was pulling my hair a lot whilst washing it, which made this part of the experience rather unpleasant (and I usually quite enjoy this part of the process). The hair massage must be the first ever massage I did not enjoy even a little bit. This is usually the nicest and most luxurious part of the process but in this case I was just uncomfortable and waiting for it to be over.
Then we moved onto the haircut, she combed my hair with a very sharp comb which was causing a lot of pain, to a point where I thought she might cause damage to my scalp. I did make note of it but it didn't get much better unfortunately. The blow dry experience was very similar, she kept pulling my hair very carelessly and it was very very painful. You could tell from my face that I was in pain, and I did flag it on a few occasions. I was in so much pain after this whole experience, I was considering walking out of the salon. Every part of my experience was absolutely awful. Getting a haircut is a self care ritual and a luxurious pleasant experience, I've never experienced anything like this. Never.
While Naueve seems like a lovely girl, she was rather careless with the way she was pulling my hair and caused me a lot of pain. Overall experience is very very disappointing.

Andy was amazing. I’ve got very curly/frizzy hair. He gave me advice & useful tips on how to manage my hair. Atmosphere inthe saloon is friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this saloon.

Very friendly salon, all the staff are very welcoming, stylist are of a very high standard, all my family get their hair done at Welwyn Garden City Stonehills, the salon is very clean and comfortable, I have been a customer for years, and would recommend to anyone.

This is my first time at this hairdressers and it was an amazing experience for me. I loved the finished look afterwards and they took great care when styling and cutting my hair. Excellent quality service overall, I will come again soon.

I’ve seen Adam twice now for my hair system and I’ll be going back again this Saturday. Adam went through everything step by step, explaining what he was doing and why.
I wasn’t overly happy about wearing a hair system at my age but it was the only solution for me as my hair had thinned so much for various reasons. How Adam styles it, it doesn’t look like a wig, it looks natural and has given me my confidence back.
The rest of the staff are so understanding at how awkward it is for me especially when it needs to be taken off and my head needs to be washed. They go above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and confident.
The experience of having your hair taken off and seeing a bald head underneath is not a nice feeling but everyone at Stonehills makes it bearable and entertaining 😊
