An ambition fulfilled!

A railway is a railway (30 years in track design). In these difficult times I wish to try and convey the care and the personal touches with which my family and I were treated. The service was brilliant, pre-order the cream tea, and a lovely lady emails you personally for your drinks order! Its very clean place to visit. The carriages are separated internally, that's your compartment!!! and off you go! Will come back when you can walk at the top of the line, but for now great day out.

A great day out with some spectacular views followed by a lovely cream tea. We went back the following day and completed one of the many walks from the other train stations.

A very warm welcome and a great journey.
The staff and volunteers worked very hard to maintain a great service especially given the difficulties associated with Covid 19 cleaning requirements.
Very safe
Very safe, and a very welcoming railway. Even the General Manager was out and about on the platform talking to visitors and making sure all was well. Highly recommended.
Wonderful
A wonderful example of a small organisation and its people pulling out all the stops to give customers an experience which very closely resembles a non-coronavirus situation, but with all the safety measures in place. Brilliant. I would recommend it to anybody. The staff were a delight.
Really nice train trip and staff
Really nice train trip and staff. Service was better than expected during this difficult time of vivid restrictions.
Lovely day out
Lovely day out. The whole day was very well-organised, Covid notwithstanding. Food from the cafe was good. All of the staff and volunteers were friendly and helpful. Thank you.
Amazing day out
We come to talyllyn frequently with our 3 children 2 of whom have additional needs. We are always welcomed and absolutely love coming here. They really go the extra mile to make you feel welcome.

Still the friendly Talyllyn in these odd times
The Talyllyn have done a really good job of putting safety measures in place but keeping the friendly quintessentially Talyllyn experience. The trains almost feel like private charters and the cream tea set out at Abergynolwyn is a must, a very good value add-on.
