If Taxcalc can't pick up the phone on their support line in a reasonable timescale, what is the point of using their software?
"Experiencing a high level of calls" simply means "we don't care enough to employ sufficient staff numbers to offer a decent service"

Very good value for money.

We switched over from IRIS's accountancy suite to TaxCalc and instantly noticed the difference in usability and speed of the software.

We would highly recommend TaxCalc

I am a registered user. After decades of using a rival product, I started running the two produicts in parallel. Whilst my old software is well established, it was getting qwerky and expensive.
My review is not based on software capabilities but comparative responses to queries for support. Taxcalc support is non-existent!

I find TaxCalc very user friendly and have always had first class experience when there has been a need to interact with the Software Support Team.

If I find a problem then the online assistance is good and we usually get it sorted

Renewal was simple and straightforward. I have had some issues since the last update but customer service has been good while these are being resolved.

Paid and downloaded single use 2026. Can not get it to populate my homepage or screen.

We I have used TaxCalc for many years and always found the software to be excellent and easy to use, and also their support to be incredibly helpful whenever we've had issues. We also feel as though they are constantly looking at ways to improve the software and user experience.

We are a small team of seven working with clients of various types and industries and have found the software to be adaptable and to fit our requirements well.

The programme lost last year’s data for the Mac computers.

There are two parts to my comments here. First of all the assistance and support was great however the wait to get through is beyond ludicrous. Given the charges you are making these delays are completely unacceptable and VERY SERIOUSLY need loking at

I have found the quality of support provided for the Personal Tax modules has been steadily getting worse. Time taken to reply is very variable and invariably the first reply either doesn't answer the question asked or is incorrect, so frustrating. The product itself is also far from perfect with entry boxes for certain items not in particularly intuitively placed and often hard to find. The 'Knowledge Base' is generally completely unhelpful as the search facility brings up so many unrelated items. I also find it frustrating that there is no way clearly to mark whether a particular section of the return is complete or still has outstanding items or has not been considered. This leads to wasted time having to keep going back into schedules to check. Digita product is far superior in this respect.

I did feel that the TaxCalc agent i spoke to was not fully aware of how the spreadsheet worked

I have used TaxCalc for several years, and I find it simple and straightforward.

Excellent product, and the "What If" option is very useful for me and my wife when working out how much we should contribute to our pensions every year.

Updated to cloud connect- but when I try to download the update (shows as available) then not available when log in as admin to do so

Fast, polite and helpful support

I originally loved TaxCalc and recommended it to other people because it was so quick in answering any questions. I still find it helpful but problems take longer to solve. Microsoft (which itself never solves anything) sends a warning whenever I log in. I don’t know why this is but suspect it won’t pass on information on the Internet.

Rob and Sam have been extremely helpful with our accounts production and CT600 preparation and submission to HMRC and Companies House.
They handled everything efficiently and ensured the process was smooth from start to finish. Their support and attention to our work were greatly appreciated, and it’s clear they genuinely care about delivering a high standard of service.
