Taxrise are nothing but thief’s. My bill was around $7600 and they took $800 dollars off. Just basically added $6800 on top of my IRS debt. Don’t waste your time or money. Burn in hell Taxrise. Added thousands of dollars on top of my IRS debt. Thief’s!! Scumbags!!

I should have taken a chance with my own compromise form for $200.00 with the IRS now im in more Debt than what i started with
what they told me was my debt would be wiped away
what they did not tell me is that my debt would still be in the IRS database to still pay back in the future so the BOTTOM LINE IS Every time i file my future taxes the IRS has the right take my refund and add it to my Debt i owed...the IRS sent me a letter explaining that i was cleared but still obligated to pay back . so going back to the start taxrise explained to me that they would clear my $13,000.00 debt with the IRS being my base income proved that i would not be able to afford to pay my IRS bill. one good thing is that the showed me the IRS had penalized my debt from $9,500.00 to $13,000.00 almost $4,000.00
What taxrise did was cleared my $3,500.00 IRS penalty fee but left me $9,500.00 which is determined by the IRS for me to still be responsible in the future so i will never receive a refund until i pay the $9,500.00 balance taxrise $500.00 upfront same day service fee plus a $3,000.00 monthly installment payment plan kinda puts me right back where i started like a trade off LOL the only good thing is that i will not receive levys or penalties from the IRS so i missed certain things that was explained from the start of this experience probably from excitement

Horrible company who aggressively tries to sell you their program by giving unrealistic expectation to what the estimated monthly payment to IRS will be. Save yourself the overpriced services and negotiate with the IRS yourself or else you'll be stuck with this bill AND a monthly payment to the IRS exponentially hire than you were told.

The patient, knowledgeable and compassionate Rep that we had was the best. She was able to calm our stress and anxiety.

If I could give zero I would. I was guaranteed a 6 month long case. I'm at almost 2 years not and there's no end in sight. As of today the last call I have received was 136 days ago. The last email 74 days ago. I've never spoken to an actual attorney and just get redirected to different office people with different excuses. It's a scam. I'm stuck in a loan contract for a "flat rate fee for services" but if I want to drop them and go get a real attorney to help me figure out my problems, I'm still stuck paying Taxrise due to that loan. I've never received an actual contract copy of what they will be doing for me. Only my loan which doesn't disclose service details. Every call is a new person I have to reexplain my situation to. And not once has any of them given me the same answer, and they "don't know why the last person said what they said, but they're wrong." They go months without response and then pop up late afternoon on a friday with a call demanding documents within a 24 hour window that aren't possible to get over the weekend. The portal shows that I have to submit papers that I have already submitted to them months ago. There is so much disconnect, a serious failure of communication and organization within the company, and with clients. And I'm trapped through a loan.

I am shocked at all the great reviews. I contacted taxrise in August 2025 regarding unpaid taxes. I initially felt very hopeful and borrowed the money from fiance companies they set me up with to pay them. I was told the process would take 3 to 4 months. I was told there would be communication monthly and all IRS letters would stop upon them notifying IRS that they were working on my behalf. The letters continued to come and eventually the communication with taxrise stopped all together in dec 2025. Conference calls were set up I waited for hours for the calls that never came. Eventually I received a letter of intent to levy my house. I sent email with date and time of hearing no response. After no response I decided to respond to the hearing and payment plan was set up. When I emailed taxrise for refund in may they finally responded and tried to give me a small refund to continue working on my behalf. I stated I would like a partial or all money back I then received an email that they had indeed on my behalf set up payment plan in Feb and they owed me nothing. I never received payment plan info from them and IRS denied ever hearibg from them in April. I am totally shocked again for all the great reviews this company has.

Before charging me $4,000, I should have been told they couldn't help us . My monthly bills have increased instead of decreased. I now have 2 bills to pay. $167 and possibly $221. What was free? I would appreciate a call from whom ever is in control. Thank you.

Everything was awesome! The staff is knowledgeable, and patient! I am 79, and NOT computer savvy, with two left thumbs, which makes any computer work hazardous for everyone's health, and they are all wonderfully kind. I'd recommend them to all and sundry

My husband filed for his taxes with Taxrise, or so we thought. April 15 comes no communication from them. Nothing that they filed. We paid them a hefty amount and as of this moment, it seems like our taxes were not filed. Nobody will respond to us other than an AI on the phone. A very bad experience we lost money and our taxes are not filed. Stay away from this company.!!!!😡🤬😡😡
