Buy2LetShop have been amazing from start to finish with helping us to purchase a property. This was our first time in buying any property, so you can imagine we always had questions. No matter how big or small the question the team guided us through the process. We only had to email or call to know someone would be there to help solve any queries. They referred us to a solicitor that was so helpful, Dawn made sure we knew everything about the property before we signed the contract. For someone that had no idea about owing a property we are now much more wiser thanks to working with a great team of professional people in the Buy2LetShop. Personal thanks to Luke, Hannah, Sam. B2LS have been good, our experience with them has been professional and straight forward, their due diligence and research into the specific market the property they market enabled us to buy something outside of our local area with more confidence and they have listened and followed our instructions as to our desired property. Using them gave us the nudge and confidence to take the leap into property. Time will tell on the value achieved but all in all a positive experience to enable us to start our property investment portfolio.

Elliot and the team were fantastic. They explained everything to me very clearly and patiently considered anything I was not sure of. It was going well, until my second purchase. I bought an off plan property through them initially and had no dramas. Then, I bought a second hand property, which by all means looked the part on paper. The photos provided showed the property in good condition however upon completion it was a completely different story! Windows smashed, carpets ripped back, broken door handles, the list goes on. Not only costing me money to fix, I can't rent it in current condition. Not impressed!

I've read some negative reviews on here before posting mine and I have to say I'm really surprised, but obviously you can only talk about your own experience, so here I go.... 

We've bought from them twice over the last 3 years, both times the sale took longer to go through than expected, and the solicitors recommended seemed to want more info from us than any previous solicitor we've used when buying our homes over the years. So it was harder work than maybe we had expected, but nothing compared to how stressful it would have been if we had bought through auction (which we tried previously and backed out of at the last minute when we considered the full cost of having to use 'bridging loans').

And, most importantly, both properties have since been valued by local agents at much higher prices than we paid for them.  The second property has just completed and been valued at £27,500 more than we paid for it.  We paid £4,500 as a commission to them, so we're still £23k up.

I think the buying process could be improved/different solicitor recommended (as the one they recommend isn't even cheap!) but other than that, they do have lot's of properties and they are discounted... from our experience. 

And you don't need to use bridging loans, you can use a regular BTL mortgage.

I'd been shopping around for a while to see who to invest my money with. Eventually I came across The Buy2Let Shop and decided to go ahead and purchase 2 properties through them.

The properties look like solid investments at face value and the progressions team have been fantastic so far, 1 of the properties has completed and 1 is off plan so will complete next year. Would highly recommend, from start to finish it's been completely hands off.

Stay away from them.I bought a property from them 2 years ago in liverpool st peters church as they says the property market value is £85000 and they give me this property for £68000 discount of £17000 but they will charge a fee of £4500. Now after 2 years i was thinking to sell this property its been valued £65000 so there was no discount don’t use this company. They was saying if I become a member with them they will deal all my case but now they don’t care. Please stay away from them.

This is my experience with the Buy2Let Shop: The Buy2Let Shop first took their fees from me. Subsequently, the transaction did not go at all as timely and smoothly as this agent constantly assured me, and ultimate the whole property purchase fell through. This was despite no fault on my part. Even though all of this resulted in a breaking down of trust between the agent and me, The Buy2Let Shop does not seem to provide alternatives to in my view proper and fair compensation.
Please reconsider your trust of Feefo reviews, as not everyone can freely enter their.

Thebuy2letshop are the worst company I have dealt with and been unfortunately naive to lose money with. There are much cheaper and even free ways you can do in your property journey you should do. How I judge anyone is buy how are they when things go wrong. They have been terrible. I foolishly agreed to a less than amicable return of some of my money. If I did not I would not get any. They agreed to pay me back on a certain date. They have been reluctant to pay me each time it takes over 10 calls to get action. It appears to be one person you have to speak to to get a response if there not available good luck they also say I apologise but I have been told your money is due to be paid but icant do anything. Don't waste your money get educated. I had 6 deals 4fell through 1 I gave up on and 6 I have kept for a selfish reason. I am far better without them and just want to get rid. David Marshall

Terrible experience with the Buy2let shop. They talk the talk as far as selling you on a deal but that’s about it. We paid over a £1000 to get access to the best deals. Having agreed to purchase a property we paid out their fee of £5000. Then it all goes wrong. We had to use their solicitors and mortgage advisors who to be honest were shocking. We pulled out of the deal and they agreed it was the best thing to do. I asked for a refund of the £5000 and was told it would go towards another purchase. They quickly tried to sign me up for another property and asked me to part with more money. I have since tried to get my money back with no success. I have contacted their Complience department to be told they are working tirelessly to deal with this situation. It’s now Jan19 and I last heard from them in August 18. The last 6 emails have been totally ignored as have the ones that have been sent to other departments. They are absolutely shocking. Stay well clear.
