Always great service. Order arrives very quickly, comms v good. Can’t fault it.

Got an email requesting a review before I've even received my subscription order...

Ordered on the 1st of the month and won't get my first order until around the 7th of the following month which is very bizarre

Spoke to somebody on live chat that explained that to me as it's unclear. Suggested that they'd be improving their system in the future... but launched the subscription model without being able to ship them out when initially ordered? Makes no sense.

My husband wants to try different rums so I've continued with the order and now I'm in the month long wait from paying for the subscriptions first month to actually receiving it... if I hadn't contacted them and changed the date of payment then I'd be making another payment before I received the first box!

The product may well be worth the wait but in my opinion, if it wasn't for my husband wanting to try different rums and the limited amount of legitimate alcohol subscriptions available, I wouldn't have paid up front for something that I wouldn't get for a month. I'd expect the payment to be taken on despatch or for the order to be shipped shortly after paying and then reoccurring on the same day each month.

We shall see how it goes!...

But leaving a review for people of the future that are also feeling a bit confused about the subscription model!

Great selection of flavoured rums with tasting notes and other information, neatly displayed in a good quality box. The whole gift was presented well. Arrived on time and well packaged. Altogether a good purchase and I'm very happy with the product and its' contents.

They make it so easy to order the rum you want

Always a joy to see the Norfolk Rum stand at the local farmer's markets. My husband is a whiskey drinker and myself a gin lady but the dark spice rum is our go to Friday night drink. It's the best on the market, we even gifted to friends in the USA recently. I also very much enjoy the honey and vanilla rum, whilst my husband enjoys the Navy strength.

This Rum is amazing , I’ve bought it on a few occasions.
The customer service is amazing ! Recently had a lost parcel and they were really quick at dealing with the issue and made sure I received my purchase .
Sure the rum is a little more expensive than your usual supermarket brands but it’s sooo worth it ! Delicious
The Caramel Rum is my favourite. we also bought the gift set which is really well presented and nice sizes of bottles , love the cards in there with infomation too

Terrible website. There is no search function at all. If you want a quick purchase of a favourite brand go somewhere else. This is more for novelty shopping and presents. If you know rum, it is a waste of time. I just gave up.

The Rum Company have reported this review as fraudulent, because I did not make a purchase...even though the point of the review is that I have been unable to make a purchase because they have no search function on the website that is visible on my browser (Safari on both Mac and iPad). Make of this what you will....

Bought a set of Welsh rums for a 50th birthday for a Welsh friend. He was blown away by how beautifuly it was packaged, and he never knew they existed which made it even more special. Looks so impressive and expensive! Arrived in perfect condition and on time. Will be my go to site for future gifts!

Incredible customer service from The Rum Company!
I had previously bought a bottle of Beckford’s rum which turned out to be the wrong flavour with a different label, I emailed customer service and spoke to Ed, who was apologetic and offered to replace the bottle free of charge. I did not expect this to be sorted so quickly and not only that, it has been delivered personally by them all within a matter of days! I will definitely be buying from The Rum Company again.

Superb service especially over the Christmas period.
I had a panic over the weekend as I’d forgotten a gift for my brother in law, thankfully The Rum Company saved the day.
The parcel was expected to arrive Wednesday but DPD had delayed delivery. I contacted The Rum Company who promptly arrived (on Christmas Eve Eve!) and the parcel was delivered the next day. The presentation box is lovely and information you get with the rum is a great addition.
