Dr Amit Bishnoi did my operation in…

Dr Amit Bishnoi did my operation in both my legs and June 2024 best surgeon and best team who did the job now just slowly slowly starting to walk really nice doctor came and saw me three times before leaving Leicester and family come to London North Park what a difference between the hospitals and the consultants are a professional.

Booked, received the code via a text ...but in reality nothing happened behind the scenes. No one there to help, lines close at 5pm, email zero response.

I have no doubt they're charging Consultants along the way, somehow. Email this site multiple times, with evidence, but of course no response.

Called hospital and the appointment they allegedly arranged & confirmed could never even have happened. That consultant doesn't work there on that day!! So their website is a disaster zone.

Don't waste your time...

Yes - a great discussion with the Manager.

Sadly I can't charge a fee for that consultation, but she agreed the 3 significant (indeed quasi legal) changes were urgently required. One already implemented, one might be, one won't. The basis are all broken.

This key issue remains (until they do actually link directly into Consultants diaries)... that this is NOT an "appointments" website.

It's a "request for an appointment" website. Nothing is agreed, even if you pay for it, until that Consultant confirms the appointment.

So, all very misleading. Still only 1 star... until all the illogical and failing issues are addressed. Hopefully they will be, until then... tread exceptionally carefully. Nice people, a broken business model and very broken website & process.

Luckily we clicked on pay at the appointment. £250. Waited for a few days to confirm the appointment but heard nothing. The spoke to an nurse at the hospital who confirmed the following:

Top Doctors should not be making appointments on this particular consultants behalf. They are unable to make them. If you had clicked on "pay now" the you would have to have paid again at the actual consultation. So that would be £500.

We have been asked them to stop this but they are won't.
We asked if it was a scam and the hospital said yes and no.

This is just our experience.

Booked a consultation online with a…

Booked a consultation online with a consultant,
was contacted later to be told the date wasn't valid, I'd need to contact the consultant to arrange a new date.
I got an email saying a booked appt isn't valid until confirmed by phone.
That's pretty reasonable I guess.
but I let that one lapse.

I Booked another consultant,
arranged the date online as offered on TopDoctors Website.
I paid £195 via debit card.
This time I rang next day, just to confirm the date and time.
They couldn't find any record of me, or my having paid.
I was also told the Consultant I'd booked an appt with wasn't even available that week.
I was passed to 4 different people. each time having to repeat my name, details etc.
Eventually, I got an appointment with a different Doctor.
But I'll have to Pay £170 to the new doctor.
Clinic asked me to send proof of payment, which I have, (don't they have details when you pay them online ??)
God only knows if I'll ever see my £190 again.
It should have a simple case of ringing them up to confirm.
But no, almost an hour later, I finally got a appt with someone else, but I had to pay again.

Edit, I have just seen the new Doc,
and we are having tests done,
they are going to Bill me.

My advice,
Don't pay up front,
expect your appointment to be changed.
and ring to confirm the booking.

Edit, They've emailed me twice asking if my original Doc appt went through,
I clicked on No,
their website said they would investigate.

I went through their website to book the appt at the clinic, so they MUST know the clinic and the Dr in question it was booked through TopDoctors.

The clinic are saying their is no evidence I have paid,
I have sent them my Bank account details.
I'd be pretty silly to be trying to get £190 out of an organisation I wasn't due, on a public form,
that would be fraud.

I've now had 2 MORE emails asking if my Appt with the original Doc had been OK.
How many times do I have to tell them,
He wasn't available when I rang to confirm so we arranged with another Doctor.
That's 4 emails, asking me the same question.

If they had investigated they'd know,
If their website was any good, they'd have records of these details.

They have ALL the information they need to investigate, instead, they're asking me to repeat over and over and over again if I'd seen the original Doctor,
NO I haven't, the clinic had no record of the appointment,
he wasn't even available that week and
no record of me having paid.
So the clinic arranged my appt with another Doc.

People make mistakes, including me, but they seem incapable of investigating efficiently,
they don't appear to keep electronic copies of transactions and appointments made online,
and they're asking the same questions over and over Questions that they ought to have all the evidence for !!!!

Do not do what they promise

Stay well away from this company. I have had a very poor experience and they have made it a nightmare to leave them. No doubt because (from speaking to colleagues), everyone seems equally as unhappy and everyone is leaving them. They do not do what they promise and charge an over the odds fee for doing very little. Stay well away. There are much better resources for patients and for doctors

I would highly recommend Sergio…

I would highly recommend Sergio Pagliarini, Consultant Ophthalmologist. I was absolutely frightened of my cataract operations. Right from my first appointment with Sergio I just felt so a ease not so frightened, when the day came and I had the first eye done, Well just amazing and couldn't wait to get other eye done, very good with people.

Terrible booking experience

The booking system did not recognise my payment and so the appointment slot was lost. Help on the phone was very poor and unable to resolve the problem meaning that I had to re-book myself and stand out of pocket for twice the appointment fee. Frustrating and stressful in light of trying to seek medical assistance for an urgent issue.

Not showing real available appointments. Total waste of time.

I needed an urgent appointment and found a consultant with appointments showing available on the Top Doctors website. I selected and booked one. They said they would confirm the appointment in 48 hours. This did not happen and then I finally got a call from the consultants secretary who said that actually there were no appointments for the next two months.
When I asked why these appointments were still showing available on Top doctors she said that the Top Doctors website still allows you to book even when the appointments are unavailable. She added that the site doesn’t update well and that it is always happening! So really, what’s the point of this website? Just call the consultant’s secretary directly for actual real available appointments. Someone called me from Top Doctors afterwards and they said they would sent a list of alternative available consultants that were near me. The list showed the same consultant who we all knew by now wasn’t available, and other consultants, all a very, very long way away from me. Some were 300 miles away! Save yourself a lot of time and hassle by not using this non service. A real waste of time.

Misleading "looks official" site with incorrect online booking form availability

TopDoctors gives the _impression_ of representing the actual doctor and providing that doctor's online booking service, but _in fact_ all they do is take your appointment request and then "manually" contact the doctor's secretary, who has the _actual_ diary of the doctor and can make the booking (which will most likely not be for the time you requested since that may well in fact not be available) … the booking calendar on the TopDoctors website does _not_ show the doctor's availability at all! They are just getting in the way of the process, I recommend contacting the doctor's secretary directly and cutting TopDoctors out of the loop. They also squat domains with doctors' names in, thus deceptively adding an air of being "that doctor's official site" when it is not, which is highly misleading. They're just trying to insert themselves in the process in between doctors (and their secretaries) and patients, and it helps nobody except them. Fairly despicable activity.

Useless and complete loss of time.

The website claims to provide Doctors availability and if Private healthcare registered.
I booked an available slot with an AXA-registered doctor, received an e-mail confirmation, organised my trip to London accordingly... only to receive a call from the clinic informing me that not only did I not have an appointment but that the doctor was not registered with AXA either.
The complete opposite of what TopDoctors site provided.
