UPDATED - If only I read the reviews first

Ordered 2 SSD drives costing £68. They are faulty and do not work properly as they have errors.
Scandisk cannot fix them and a full format (which took 70 hours) was a waste of time.
Emailed Versik Support Desk and no answer. - SEE UPDATE BELOW.
This is a SCAM Company. I've lost my £68 but if this saves others losing their money then it is worth it.
If Versik contact me and give me a full rebate (it advertises 'Money back Guarantee') then I will change this review, but I doubt I will hear from them again. Or if course they can try and sue me.
After a lot of email exchanges I eventually got 50% of my money back. I may have been able to get all of my money back but it seemed a lot of hassle and I thought 50% was better than nothing.
I tried seveveral ways to 'fix' these drives and eventually, after many different 'reformats' 'CHKDSK' and 'SCNDSK /f/r' runs, I found a format of 1024 file size with exFat appears to work and 100% of the SSD does show. How long for is anyones guess.
However, due to a refund of 50% I changed my review from 1 to 3 stars.

Bought 4TB SSD 14 December

Bought 4TB SSD. Worked at first but once I had 80GB on it all subsequent files were corrupted. Unfortunately this was 34 days after I had received it, so they would not replace the disk or give a refund.
Wish I had read these reviews before I wasted 30 quid.

Fraud scum bags

Was searching for SSD storage devices during Christmas time on google. This fraud website was one of the top searches.

Website is designed to trick you into buying their scam products. With a 50% off discount on your first product, then a fake limited time (around 10 mins) for another 50% off for another product. This is when it became suspicious.

Further inspection, the website only sells this SSD product with various colors and “storage options” which began to raise some red flags. There were also no YouTube reviews for this “versik” “brand”.

Should have known better, their product doesn’t even have their own logo and should have came to trustpilot before purchasing.

After realized that it was a scam, I tried using the contact information on their website, no phone calls can go through and no emails can be sent to that address.

Got in touch with the bank to get my money back.
If without looking at reviews, it can be easily seen from their website that it looks legit. The website is modern and purchasing is easy, perhaps too easy. There is also Apple Pay available and after purchasing, they even have tracking system for your package.

Did a bit of digging and I believe the website and tracking system was made possible with them using Shopify services. I believe that’s why there are also so many up and rising scam products such as space heaters which are running an absurd amount of social media ads

If you paid by Credit Card contact your bank

I searched for Portable Hard drives and Versik was the first thing that came up. I ended up buying 2 hard drives as they immediately offer 50% off the next purchase if made within 1 minute of the first.

After placing the orders I decided to do a bit more research into the company and thats when I came across the reviews. I WAS SHOCKED AT PEOPLE'S REACTIONS.

I immediately contacted the fraud team at my bank and they were very quick to raise a dispute and also cancel my credit card as this company had all the hallmarks of a scam.

They refunded my money within a week.

Today I recieved both the hard drives and guess what? NEITHER OF THEM OF WORK.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

Bought an SSD external storage as a Christmas present for my daughter as she needs extra storage for her Xbox games, I even contacted them via email to ask if it was suitable for this and they replied very quickly which I was impressed with, so I went ahead and purchased. Surprise surprise, it's no good at all even for images, tried contacting them through their email address which is now returning a permanent error, just rang the telephone number on their website and that's an invalid number!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS WEBSITE!!! SCAMMERS!

I will be going through trading standards and my credit card company for return of the money!

Okay, for limited purposes only

As with other reviewers, I have found problems with these disks. Nevertheless, in my experience, they are not entirely useless. The problem (in my case, at least) is that the disk appears to lose its connection to the computer, but is re-established by plugging it out and in again. This does mean that they are probably not usable for viewing MP3 and the like. Initially, I bought 2 x 4TB, and was immediately offered a time-limited 20% discount, so I bought 1 x 30TB. I copied my documents folder (ca 6400 files) without any problem on to the 30 TB drive in one go. The smaller drives were not so good - I copied smaller folders to them, but needed to re-start the copying a few times. I have had no problems reading files from any of the disks; admittedly, it is yet early days.

Conclusions: 1) the disks certainly contain a storage medium - it is a big advantage that they are so lightweight. 2) They are useful for creating spare backups, but not for continuous reading of films etc. 3) Would I buy again? Probably not, but might if I have a specific reason. 4) I don't believe that this is a complete scam; giving benefit of the doubt, more likely that the company needs to improve its technical competence.

SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM

Awful same as all the other reviews. Product clearly isn’t USB 3.1 or even 3.0 I would be surprised if it was even USB 2.0 .while the SSD did show up on desk top ,PlayStation said not compatible smart Tv was the same ,When trying to load anything on the SSD it just failed ,totally useless. I was offered a 50% refund to save me the hassle of returning the item while that’s “very kind “ I could have just thrown the money down the drain instead. I asked for a pre paid label to return the item and I was just given a residential address Lingfield??? No prepaid label currently waiting on a response. Trading standards need to shut them down pure SCAM . I feel people like this may just save the high street .

Ordered 8tb SSD ,tried to cancel order 30 mins after placing order .waited for it to arrive ,tested on Xbox and wouldn't recognise the SSD .
Told to return given an address that was fake .
Plenty of mails back and forth as to why it couldn't possibly be an issue with the SSD ,replies to email stopped after refund request.
AVOID SCAM COMPANY.
Royal mail still have the SSD out of pocket for Postage and SSD .

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

I ordered a 4TB SSD external drive. It took more than two weeks to arrive. But that's the least of my complaints! Basically, it doesn't work. I tried transferring all my video files across to it but when I went to access them I found that although the various folders had appeared to have transferred they were all empty! I reformatted the SSD drive and started again. Same result. This product is a piece of junk and I am now using the drive as an expensive coaster on which to place my mug of tea. How I wish i had read the many negative Trust Pilot reviews before ordering this product!

BEWARE! Absolute scam. NON WORKING PRODUCTS.
I purchased 3 30TB disks in December 2023. None worked, unable to read or write data. Unable to format. They are very light weight and I suspect don’t really contain any SD memory silicon at all. The company’s phone number is permanently unobtainable. Email response is sporadic at best, multiple delivery failed messages from server. They offered a 50% discount refund if so accepted the products! Refused as they don’t work.

SCAM!!!

SCAM!!!! They send you a flimsy little device which can barely hold 1GB worth of stuff (if you're lucky enough to not actually corrupt all the files in the first place) no one to contact. Avoid at all cost. I've raised a dispute with my bank to get the money back. Reminder, if it's too good to be true, it really is. Just save up and buy the real thing.

Along with others I got duped into…

Along with others I got duped into buying one of these. One particularly worrying aspect is that when scanning the drive showed a number of folders, one of which contained a folder “system and reserved” which had 2.0 mb of data in it.
More worryingly when performing a quick Format, the directories and data were still there.
A “full format” didn’t format at all.
Please explain Versik

This company is a total scam

This company is a total scam. I bought a hard drive from this company like many of the reviews below. The hard drive doesn't work. I've tried contacting the company and the emails bounce back. I've tried contacting support via the website and the email also bounces back as undeliverable. This is a fraudulent activity that has taken place over the Christmas period and has affected hundreds of people as you can see in the comment section. They must have made quite a lot of money off the scan but I will be contacting my bank to try to receive some of this money back beware beware beware.
