SIMON ALLEN ~ ONLINE FRAUD & THEFT ~ REPORT HIM TO SUNDERLAND POLICE

**DO NOT USE THIS WEB SITE ~ ONLINE FRAUD**
Report this so called company to SUNDERLAND POLICE for online fraud.
The more people to do that the more they will take notice. If you do nothing he will get away with it.
He is SIMON ALLEN
RECYCLED MEDIA is the "Holding Company"
This is how it works ~
He gets you to send in your DVD's & Cd's etc ~ He NEVER pays you for them.
He then sells them on his other sites ~
WHOLESALE.WANTITCHEAPER.CO.UK
WANTITCHEAPER-SHOP.CO.UK
I marked some of my items with invisible marker and sent them to Webuydvds.co.uk and was able to track them and actually buy them on his other web site Wantitcheaper.co.uk just so I could have proof of what he was doing.
We have a visit planned to SUNDERLAND on Friday 15th DECEMBER. So excited that 50 of his very angry and unhappy unpaid customers will finally get the chance to go and grab what they can from this thief.

.***BEWARE

.***BEWARE - AVOID AT ALL COSTS***. I have used this site twice - I'm a glutton for punishment!! The first time I sent my dvds to be recycled in April and I emailed them at the end of June to ask where was my payment. I received an email apologising and a cheque was sent within a week. I thought they had made a genuine mistake so I tried them again. I sent off my dvds on 3rd August and I emailed them on 29th August to ask about my payment. They emailed back saying it can take up to 60 working days after confirming my address for payment! What are they doing - how long does it take to print off a cheque. I think they are hoping people will forget and not pester them and so they can keep the money/dvds. I have emailed today (18th Nov) in the hope of receiving my cheque. I would advise everyone not to use them - they may offer better money for your dvds but if they don't pay up you lose out.

After reading this and being fobbed off …

After reading this and being fobbed off with the same excuses since august I rang the recycled media number 0843 289 6081 and spoke to a woman who said it wasn't them but she would pass my details to webuydvds ( took the recycle numbers) after I told her I had contacted trading standards and would pursue them for fraud if I dint have payment by Monday.
I expect I'll be doing that but will keep you updated.

Update:

10 minutes after calling this number I had mails for each of my 5 recycle saying payment on the way. Still not holding my breath but we will see.

WEBUYDVDs - organised theft

This organisation is organised theft. DON'T TOUCH IT.
SOME OF US HAVE CONTACTED POLICE AND TRADING STANDARDS.
If you have not got your cheque or cash transfer by now, you've kissed your dvds goodbye. However you could buy them back via another website (same trader?) selling dvds not up to their quality standard. Think about it.
If you are unhappy please talk to Trading Standards, or go to law. . .
Good luck.

Scammer!!

This company is a joke.
Here is what you should know - the business address is a storage unit not a premises.
The actual company is 'recycled media ltd' if you put this into company check it gives you the name of one man Mr Simon Allen and his residential address, seems the theory of a bedroom run business is most likely true!
Upon googling recycled media Ltd I came across a TELELPHONE NUMBER which of course isn't on any website or email. 01915493405 of course when ringing it no one answers.
They take your discs, write off a few for imaginary reasons - don't return them to you - and they never ever send payment... I am still waiting after almost 3 months...I have filed complaints to trading standards, a police fraud report and am now going to small claims court. DO NOT USE THIS CONPANY!!

Update 0843 289 6081 someone does answer this, a woman, who says 'recycled media' perhaps the infamous 'Stacey'??
Update 2 - wantitcheaper (google it) is his other website, he happens to sell items listed as 'failing their quality check' so all those items he doesn't pay for he is selling!
Update 3 - at 12.30pm today I was told the account manager would pay me today via bank transfer after telling them I had contacted trading standards and the police and the small claims court... Its 5pm now and no payment has been made and no further emails have been responded to by them. Still I wait....

Thieves

I sent these con artists a large part of my DVD collection. These were from my very own treasured collection which I'd replaced on Blu-ray. The DVDs were all in excellent condition, most were like new. I sent them through Collect+ and waited for my cheque.

Another company called Zapper came good and I received a cheque from them quickly. However no cheque was forthcoming from Webuydvds. I waited patiently and eventually contacted them, at which point they said that they hadn't received anything. I checked the tracking number and it revealed that the DVDs had been delivered at their depot. I contacted them several times, eventually they reluctantly admitted they had received the DVDs but that they couldn't find them. After a long wait they suddenly contacted me to say that they had finally found them, sorted through them but that many were missing or damaged.

The packages I sent contained all of the DVDs. I checked that they were all included 3 times as I'm a stickler when it comes to these things. They eventually sent me a cheque for very little money and kept all of the DVDs.

If by some miracle they do decided to pay you, they will reluctantly do so and it will take forever. They will not answer your emails, they will not pay you and they will not return your items. Simply put, they are thieves!

Awful service

Wish I had read these reviews before sending my old cds and dvds, still not received the money promised and they do not respond to emails. I'll update here if i ever receive a response. I have sent stuff to Music Magpie before and they were great! Perhaps small claims is the answer as one other reviewer suggested

Waste of time!!!!

I sent over 40 DVD's off in Feb and am still waiting for payment. I have sent 3 or more emails to them and like everyone else have been told there is a backlog, payment will be paid 60 days from confirmation of my address, cheque is waiting to be printed. Still not received payment and did not have a reply from my last email to them. Very disappointing service.

SIMON ALLEN'S COMPANY TRY TO RIP KIDS OFF BEWARE

My Kids had me send items to webuydvds.co.uk, 4 weeks on no money and an email saying can take up to 60 days for payment, a total joke and not how they advertise their company. Mr Simon Allen is the man who runs the company, I doubt Stacy exists actually. I will post Simon's home address on sunday if no funds are received then everyone can issue county court summons to him via small claims. Watch this space

update: shocked now promised to pay via bank transfer 18 hours ago so let ssee what happens, not much is my guess

Money final paid in full, pity it happened ony when I told him I was in Sunderland this weekend.

KEEP CLEAR AND DO NOT DEAL WITH THIESE IDIOTS

Appalling company

Appalling company - DO NOT USE THEM.
They sucker you in by offering better prices than other sites and then reject a lot of your DVDs due to "quality issues".
Worse than this, they take forever to pay - I sent my DVDs in early January and have only just received a cheque (for a reduced amount) - and I only got this by threatening them with legal action.
I'd give them no stars if I could.

They keep them but don't buy them.

I am convinced that this site is one big con. My box of dvds/cds was picked up on 15th Dec.2016. I am still waiting to be paid. After several E mails from me, they tell me that business is 400% better than they anticipated and they are behind in their cheque writing. BUT, if I want to be paid within next 7 days, provide my bank details and they will do a money transfer. Yeah, right. Avoid these people like the plague.

Avoid

Cleared out my DVD collection due to a house move. In fairness (unlike some other people who posted reviews) they did accept 98 out of 105 DVDs and promised to pay £274.88 on the 23/11/16. They then claimed a cheque had been sent on three separate occasions over the next three months. Finally, I submitted a claim through the smalls claims court on-line for £25. This did the trick and I received the payment electronically (they can do it after all!!) today (10/03/17) and the £25 it cost me. Would recommend anyone else owed money does the same.

Do NOT deal with this company

Absolutely the most awful on line company I have ever dealt with.
Do NOT use this company if you want an honest transaction

We were lucky.
We got paid.
It took 2 emails 2 promises and 90 days, which, judging from the comments here, was pretty good.

We sent our DVD's.
ALL were accepted by email.
Then . . . . Silence!
Chased by email . . .payment pending
Chased by email . . .payment has been made I was told
Chased by email . . .told that payment hadn't been made, but has now been made
Chased by email . . .told; Sorry, cheque must have gone astray, we'll sendo another one.
Finally got paid . . . Minus one dvd, with no explanation

Who in the hell uses cheques these Days?
Only those who want to delay payment and keep hold of money they should rightfully release.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

My children chose 11 dvds to send to earn some pennies. I checked them over and figured that even if they rejected a few then it was still worth it. They were supposed to pay just under £20. They have refused ALL- aside from 2 (not working apparently) they are claiming poor artwork!!!!! Complete and utter bunch of money robbing liars. My children are gutted.

If I could give minus 5 stars I would. Avoid these jokers at all costs.

Absolutely the worst DVD recycling site I have used to date. Almost 2 months since my shipment was sent (no where near the record wait admittedly, but still far longer than Momox, Music Magie and Zapper) payment still not recieved. My account on the site has been showing 'cheque currently being printed' for the last 2 weeks. No idea what printing process they use, possibly as they claim to be environmentally minded they use ancient printing presses which require wooden hand carved blocks for each letter?
Along with many other reviewers Webuydvds declined to accept my highest priced item (Zombeavers DVD, unwrapped but never watched, purchase price quoted £2.50 or there abouts), claiming water damage to the cover. Absolute BS. My total sale was only for £10.62 and they feel the need to rip me off for quarter of the total. Absolutely shocking way to run a business. Unfortunately once your shipment has been sent you have no control over the situation.
Still waiting for a response to my email to their customer service, but if the situation isn't sorted in the next few days then I intend to contact Trading Standards, BBC Watchdog and anyother consumer rights group I can find, hopefully others can avoid being ripped of by these scammers. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.
