Buying at auction
I intended to buy more but because of way auction ends. Because all the auction carried on for around 5 hrs after the 7 o'clock plus 2 minutes time. I would have preferred a defined ending time. I was bidding on four bottles but because I did not know how much the No1 bottle would make and adding on commission etc, I was surprized what I did get it for I could have afforded more and again as you will have seen I missed bottle No4 on a last second counter bid. So in my opinion a defined end time on each bottle would have allowed me to concentrate on my purchasing allowance as not to over spend but happy with what I got just my opinion

Thanks for your review. We really appreciate all customer feedback and take it into consideration when reviewing our processes. Our auctions will end anytime from 7pm (UK Local Time). Once 7pm is reached, activity on any item will prolong the ENTIRE auction by a further 2 minutes. This means that the entire auction will end when there has been no bidding activity placed within the last two minutes after 7pm. The auction will usually take several hours to finish after 7pm has passed. Please do reach out to our Client Service team if you wish to discuss this further.

Terrible shipping quality from the UK
I have been extremely disappointed in my experience with receiving bottles from Whisky Auctioneer, specifically lots delivered from the UK. No matter how many times I ask, they ship the bottles in flimsy boxes that don't support their weight and cheap bubble wrap that gives little protection. This is quite a contrast to the bottles being shipped from the EU that are shipped impeccably. Unfortuantly I can't purchase expensive bottles through them anymore, as I don't trust that they will arrive without damage. It's a real disappointment.

Your shipping process
Your shipping process, which used to be very efficient and good, has completely gone the other way. You charge 75 quid for shipping ONE bottle, and it arrives via UPS ground, ONE MONTH after I paid for said item. This is the second time this has occurred, it makes me not want to use your service any longer.

Great selection and smooth process
Great selection and smooth process. My only issues are shipping is a bit long (it is overseas) and calculating final cost is difficult. Nevertheless, I am satisfied with everything overall.
