When you book with World Baggage you choose which type of service, from Airport to Airport, Door to Door Delivery, or Seafreight services to Port. You pay for the service on-line and you can choose to drop it off at one of our depots around Australia at a time that suits you or have it collected from your home or work, then delivered.

Fantastic professional service. Baggage collected from hostel in Australia within 24 hours as agreed, tracked the whole way to my house in the UK with regular updates. Can't complain at all.
Also great dealing with Andrew from enquiry throughout the whole process (via email and over the phone). He was helpful, informative and kept us up to date. He also ensured our order was processed quickly and kept in contact with the courier - because I was disorganised and left it until the night before my flight.
If only all companies provided this level of personal attention and service. 10 out of 10.

Excellent service. They organised to have our bags collected within 2 hours of making the booking so that we didn't have to pay excess courier fees. The bags reached the UK the day that we arrived. Will definitely use again.

This is a great service for shipping items overseas. They are professional and have good customer service. The shipping was easy to do and they were quick.

Not only the shipments were significantly late than estimated the cost was almost double the "estimated" cost. Appreciate it's only estimate but being double they should just called it a "guess" rather than estimation. Yes the website discloses the additional charges but not in a way that would be customer friendly. I guess no one from the company has tried to look the process from customer perspective.
We sent multiple boxes from Australia to Scandinavia and surprisingly the only box that was marked fragile was damaged. Trying to reach the company was interesting as the email correspondence didn't provide clear answers to YES/NO questions that I raised.
Also the truck driver who came to pick our boxes asked my pregnant wife to help him carry / move the boxes to his truck and when she asked advise on baggage labeling she was given " i don't know answer".
At least next time we know what company not to use.

Not only did they give us a supplemental invoice, more than the cost of the original invoice paid, they do not tell you about hidden fees until after they have provided the service. It took us months to formally receive all of our belongings because they had not provided the correct documentation to customs (all the documentation we knew they had because they had requested it from us prior to the pick up, however somehow did not make it overseas with the belongings).
When we questioned them about the second invoice, saying we had already paid one to the value of over a $1000 ( sending photo evidence of it leaving our bank account) they just said we owed a further $1000 for some additional weight costs, whilst we investigated further before we paid, the company took it upon themselves to threaten my non English speaking family at the address where the packages came from to get the money.
Totally unacceptable and unprofessional behaviour and 5 months later we are still having discussion about getting the money returned because the second invoice was widely incorrect. I would 100% recommend against this company, they are not worth the added worry and anxiety, just because they might initially advertise a low rate, you will end up paying way more in additional invoices and stress.

I had to get two very delicate framed paintings home to Australia that were painted and left to me by my late father.
Andrew at World baggage was amazing, sorted out the quote, helped me with the paperwork and arranged pick up from my contact in the UK.
My paintings arrived perfectly intact and a day earlier than scheduled.
Would definitely recommend World Baggage to anyone.

All aspects of this shipment were excellent from pick up to delivery. The bags were shipped to the destination within 3 days. The delivery company in Copenhagen were extremely helpful, holding the bags for several days and then delivering them to an alternate address.

I recently had a suitcase sent from Florence, Italy to Melbourne, Australia with World Baggage. I was initially impressed by the website and the quoted price, however the experience was not what I hoped it would be. Firstly, I had some questions as to the packing process and labelling my suitcase (not as easy as it seems, trying to secure and weatherproof an A4 sheet to the outside of a material suitcase). I sent an email asking for advice on the best way to do this and was told to ‘attach the label to the best of my ability’ - very helpful! In comparison, I found a video on YouTube from a competitor company, outlining the best way to do it and what to avoid. I was really impressed and left wondering why World Baggage could no do something similar or provide me any advice. However the real issue arose at collection. My suitcase was not collected by the relevant courier on the day it was supposed to be collected. I rang World Baggage that evening who looked into the matter and told me that the courier could not collect the bag because I had not provided a local telephone number (I provided a mobile number with relevant country code). Now my question would be - if you know this is a requirement, why is it not stipulated anywhere in the forms? I was very frustrated about this as I was hours from leaving for the airport and concerned that my suitcase had not been collected. Further, the courier company informed me that they had never been informed of the collection at all. World Baggage did re-arrange collection for me on the day I was leaving Italy, so it worked out ok though it was really far more stressful than it should have been. Next time I would use a different company.
Edit - in response to the reply below, an Australian mobile number with relevant country code is indeed a valid contact number (as evidenced by numerous other websites, such as uber, that were able to contact me on this number when overseas!). However the point remains - I did not know that my contact number was ‘unacceptable’ and my information was accepted by World Baggage with no request for an alternative number.

We had a rocky start with some paperwork confusion on both sides since we were just shipping suitcase with personal items home. After that 3 different people jumped in to help us and things for moving quickly and we got our bag safe and sound.for anyone studying abroad in AU with multiple bags, this is the way to take care of getting them home. P.S., the level of communication and Madelyn me informed was great.
