Absolutely disgraceful company

Absolutely disgraceful company! No clarification of anything, no notification when the goods arrived in the UK. Ended up being charged for a week's storage. Could not get hold of anyone for days to understand what to do! Spent hundreds of pounds in fees to agents for customs clearance and storage!

Hi Clare, We are sorry to hear that you have not been satisfied with the service provided. Records confirm "Pre Alert" email was issued to both Sending and Receiving party upon confirmed uplift of your consignment (02-Jun-17 13:55). This contained detailed instructions for processing and collecting your consignment at the destination airport as well as flight details (ETA), tracking information and local contact information. If you choose not to process your consignment for in excess of a week after it has arrived at airport then yes, you will have additional storage charges. The airfreight service to airport is not a delivery to door service.

Great service

Great service - picked up promptly the next day for delivery to UK. Only glitch was the moron I had to deal with from DHL in the UK - who clearly didn't read what she was sent in terms of customs clearance. It took an entire day of emails for her to realise that the information she needed was in the very first email that I sent. If I had accepted her advice, I would have been up for $400 of VAT rather than being VAT exempt like it was supposed to be.

Terrible!

Terrible!! i have paid almost 600 AUD to deliver my 3 baggages (72kg) from Australia to Italy. Now the italian company Boxline which has got my baggages is asking me to pay 1300 extra euros if i want my baggages. this is not normal!!! why i have to pay more?i understand taxes but 1300 euros?? Nobody told me or wrote anything about this before paying the 600 AUD. i lost time writing to the italian company and the australian company WORLD BAGGAGE and the baggages stayed almost one month in the customs, for this reason i have to pay 360 euros more!
i'm looking forward for the end of this. worst service ever! never again!

Good Morning Marco, This is above and beyond the estimated Destination Terminal Charges advised for any Seafreight service to port...One of our customer service team members will be in contact with you shortly to investigate this further. Thank you

Hassle free service

Door to door service was easy and gave me piece of mind. Had constant updates about where my luggage was. The only thing I dislike is the fact you pay based on an estimate. I haven't had any clarification as to whether I estimated dimensions and weight correctly so don't actually know if I paid the correct amount.

Pretty bad....

Pretty bad. They just take your money and then it's up to you to sort it all out. I sent my suitcase from Sydney to Amsterdam. Didn't receive any paperwork from them. Had to drop of the bag at a freight company and they were highly confused and didn't know I was coming. I contacted worldbaggage and they told me it was a new company they worked with....no paperwork what what so ever. I have the feeling my bag got sent when I emailed them a couple of days after drop of what was going on.....the day that I emailed I got an email that it would go the day after.......in Amsterdam it was highly messy......super confusing and again, whith no paper work etc no one was really able to help me. I had to go to schiphol airport 2 days in a row (2 hour drive) to finally get my bags.....and with paying als the excess costs on arrival (that's are not included) I'd advise everyone to just take a 2nd suitcase with you in the plane.....costs would probably be the same (I had 26 kilo and paid AUD 270 to worldbaggage and had to pay €83 in Amsterdam).

UPDATE: Our records confirm the Airfreight service you booked to Amsterdam Airport was successfully delivered 24th April.
Pre Alert notification with ETA, flight, tracking, local contact information for terminal handling agent and instructions for processing and collecting your consignment were successfully emailed to you 21-April-17 @ 15:18
Tracking confirmed your consignment was successfully delivered to Amsterdam Airport on 24th April.
Notification: The carrier confirms you were notified of your consignment arrival the same day.
We understand processing your consignment once delivered to airport can be confusing and we try to provide as much information as possible.
Please note this is not a Delivery to Door service and you are responsible for processing and collecting the consignment upon its arrival.

The worst experience!

I sent two bags from AU to NZ with all the documents and requirements but they arrived to NZ without any documentation so the bags were kept in Costumes NZ. I knew this because I did the tracking and never received notification from WorldBaggage, when I notified them they just told me they didn't know what was the problem. I called everyone and after 3 weeks and loosing my flight back to Colombia (because I couldn't leave without the bags) I received the bags.

I definitely don't recommend this company, they are irresponsible and uncommitted.

Hello Maria, As per our previous correspondence, Tracking confirms your consignment was held by New Zealand Customs. Our records confirm the consignee was notified immediately upon arrival of the customs hold, and the additional information required. Unfortunately we have no control over customs and we are unable to complete delivery until Customs requirements have been satisfied. To reiterate, delays due to customs hold and importer non-compliance are beyond our control. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this matter has caused you.

Terrible - exceeded shipping estimate 3x and removed stuff from bags

In addition to taking a total of 15 days before even getting my bags shipped (with a shipping quote of 3-5 working days, door-to-door), they removed and discarded my Playstation because its controller contains a battery (but the console itself does not)

In addition to extremely poor service, they cost me my playstation.

When I called them to ask about it, it was apparently "not their problem"

Hi Aske, as per previous correspondence, your consignment was rejected by the carrier and returned due to multiple Undeclared Dangerous Goods and Prohibited items being identified in your consignment. Unfortunately, under such circumstances delays are unavoidable. It is incumbent upon all customers to comply with aviation security requirements to ensure the safe and timely delivery of your consignment. Our records confirm we have sent detailed instruction for retrieval of the prohibited items which you have not actioned. If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at customerservice@worldbaggage.com.au
