Done my mum's bathroom

Done my mum's bathroom. She paid almost £3000. They won't give her a receipt and dumped all the old bathroom and rubbish outside a neighbours window. Called, wrote recorded delivery letters but they ignored her and continue to ignore her. She is 70 years old. Terrible company! Can't say what I really want to say about them

This review is for Accord kitchens and …

This review is for Accord kitchens and bathrooms based in Drongan Ayrshire.

The standard of work is ok. There were some minor issues on the finish which could have been avoided.
Fitting time was not quick. Took over a week to fit a kitchen and the same with a bathroom. These were not large jobs. Normal sized rooms in ex council property.
This is due to one fitter being sent to do all the work. I don't believe this is normal. Kitchen and bathroom fittings are at least a two man job.
The fitters for the kitchen and bathroom seemed competent and were really friendly.
I think they are left with too much for one person to do.
Kitchen appliances and units are shored up underneath with old bits of wood. Debris like sawdust, plaster and packaging are left under the units.

Ross (Atkinson) the proprietor doesn't respond to emails or messages after the work has been paid for.

Overall verdict is that I would not recommend using this company.

Avoid at all costs

Shocking standard of work, we had this company fit an ensuite for us at a cost of £4,500. They promised the earth and assured us we would pay nothing until the job was finished to our satisfaction. Halfway through they're pleading cash flow problems and wanting a payment of £1500 up front. The job overran by a week and the tiler who was supposed to be redoing some of his work (which was appalling) downed tools without finishing and shoved the key through the door leaving my house in a shocking mess. Carpets covered in mess, grout blocking the new toilet and left to solidify, sinks bunged up with more grout so we had to pry the plugs out with pliers. Tiles broken & mismatched, new towel rail not working, shower rail hanging off, tile spacers sticking out...the list was endless .The owner sent someone else to clean up a bit and regrout a few tiles but admitted it was too big a job to put things completely right so promised to do some tiling and replace our worktops in our kitchen for free if we supplied the materials...needless to say he never turned up to do it and ignored calls, emails and texts for two weeks until I emailed saying I was taking him to small claims when he finally decided to reply but only to give me abuse. Avoid!!
