sold a faulty "approved" used bmw. When I raised a complaint within 24 hours of purchase, management refused to provide a refund.

Would not recommend and will not be returning.
I have had 2 cars from here. The first car a bmw 4 series I took in due to it not sounding right when driving and was told that their is nothing wrong, I took it back again a week later and it needed a new steering rack which is extremely dangerous and could have killed me and my passengers when driving if it broke completely.
It then started leaking and I was told I needed a seal replacement for the convertible roof which they tried to charge me for baring in mind I hadn’t even had the car a year.
I had to get a new finance out with another car where I had to pay negative equity and this car recently set alight due to an electrical issue whilst I was driving it. I was told by firemen I was lucky I got out alive as it was inside and at the back, if it wasn’t for the public helping me and putting it out before the fire brigade arrived then it could have reached the fuel tank in a matter of seconds.
The car has been recovered by BMW special case which they have now had for 7 weeks with no answers. It hasn’t even been looked at, however i have been told I still have to pay the finance in the mean time.
No one has answers and just sends you on a wild goose chase diverting you to someone else who also has no answers.
Considering the extent of the fault that is clearly a BMW fault you would have thought that someone would have at least been in contact and would try and get this resolved after waiting 7 weeks.
The service overall has been appalling, once they have your money they don’t care for your safety.
Do not buy a car here.
Do not buy a car here.
Ordered a brand new Mini in April and was told it would be ready mid to late June.
Never heard anything from Arden unless I phoned them. Salesman Jack never available and never phoned back. Sold my old car on webuyanycar as they offered more but was left without a car.
Finally got through to Jack who said there was a delay now early to mid July, he said you were on my list to call later!
Mid July kept phoning finally got through to be told it is now October!
Phoned for refund and manager said “we might be able to get you one in September” !
Got a refund a brought a Mercedes from Lookers at Maidstone who were great.
Arden just can’t be bothered to sell you a car I don’t know how they stay in business.
Steer clear!
Exceptional service
Exceptional service from the branch. Especially from Luke. Super pleased with the new car, he made the journey from start to finish very informative and was very accommodating considering we were travelling 2 hours and 40 minutes to get there! Was hesitant prior to going due to bad reviews read online, but on arrival everyone was super friendly and it just proves how important it is to go experience something for yourself :)
Not good
Not good, once the purchase of the vehicle went through, sales do not want to know - even though they still owe me rear carpets and touch up paint, have emailed - no responce, so as for as i am concerned this dealer will no longer have my business (we have 3 beemers which will be serviced in Ashford from now on)
Extremely poor service
Extremely poor service. Never return calls had to contact BMW HQ to resolve my issue. Would never ever purchase another new car from this dealership and wished l has read the customer reviews before purchasing as so many other customer comments are the same as my issue. All due to poor training, poor management & leadership.
I actually use there reviews in our customer training how not to treat customer “who make payday possible “
Terrible customer service, go somewhere else
I can only echo the numerous reviews on terrible customer service.
When you are spending money with Arden ( Ian ) he is the nicest man to deal with. God help you if you have a concern and visit. You will get abuse and informed on the number of cars he has sold. WOW... great, you have sold cars. Shame you have no desire to speak with customers and try and help them when you invite them to see you in a respectful professional manor. I and my company will never spend a penny with IAN nor ARDEN BMW again.
Unbelievably bad service
Unbelievably bad service. Went there looking for a X3 went to reception and informed him and the ginger haired man said I don't know about that just have a look around. How bizarre there were other staff members and again no one bothered to greet or smile at us. Went across the road to Jaguar dealership so much more professional service. Would never dream of using Arden Maidstone again.
Customer service is Great...NOT!!!!
Nice to see the Customer Service has improved...NOT!!! Tried to get a quote this morning and had the pleasure to speak to a very rude man Andrew, had a bad attitude! Finally got a quote from Olly who was polite and didn't have a "chip on his shoulder", but if it wasn't for the first interaction with Andrew, I wouldn't of chose another MINI Dealership!
The lowest of the low
Bought a car back in 2013, long time ago you think but I can remember it like yesterday.
Very keen to get my business and I drove over 100 miles to get it, all was well and I met with Peter Ebeling who is is still working for a BMW dealership but up north, paid the deposit got the car and drove off and that's where the problems started.
My phone went off and it was Peter saying that he had only taken £1000.00 deposit and not the £2000.00, as I was driving I was not in a position to talk to him about it, my phone went off at least 5 times on the way home with Peter at the other end of it.
When I got home I studied the paperwork and found that they had charged me £1000.00 deposit but this was correct, over the next two weeks Peter phoned me at least 3 times a day saying at one point that his boss would deduct the £1000.00 from his salary to make up for it and this meant that his children would not receive Christmas presents, excuse me what did you just say to me!
Later I received a letter from the owner of the franchise who threatened to come and get my car and get it repossessed unless I paid the £1000.00 this was news to BMW financial services who actually owned the vehicle and were annoyed at the arrogance of the franchise.
After weeks of letters going back and forth and the thought of Peter sitting down with his children on Christmas morning with no presents, that being my fault, the owner finally said that he would cover the £1000.00 and there was nothing else to pay.
All the other staff I came into contact with were professional people apart from the two mentioned above.
For a company to use emotional heartstrings to further their own agenda is a new one on me and not one I would wish on anyone else.
Shame on you Peter Ebeling and Arden BMW Maidstone
Bought a car for these guys last week
Bought a car for these guys last week, and have to say what a great service they gave us. With Covid-19 everything was done over the phone and internet, which I was very impressed with. Everything was done on trust. Part ex our m4, they had no idea of the condition etc but took our word on the service history and condition. Edward Alexander was a very helpful person, when it came to me filling in online paper work he was on the end of the phone when I had issues. Would definitely recommend them. From start to finish an easy and friendly experience.
Took my car here for the first time due…
Took my car here for the first time due to a fault with my car dialling BMW assist everytime I get in the vehicle. From the booking in call to picking the car up the service was appalling. I have owned several BMWs and visited several dealers over the years and I have to say on every occasion but this I was made to feel that a very valued customer. Here I felt like the opposite.
I arrived to collect my car and was told by a very rude young man that it wasn’t ready till 5.30 over an hour to wait. Due to covid I was instructed to wait outside in the dark on a November day even though the very large showroom was empty and I could easily stand away from anyone. I was wearing a mask but this man was not I hasten to add
My car arrived some 30 minutes later and on returning to the showroom I noticed other customers had been permitted to wait inside I paid my bill and went to my car only to start the engine and the dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree with warning symbols which had not been there before. I returned again to the showroom but this time I was treated with a bit more respect from a different man However I was told that I needed to bring the car in the next day or leave it over night which I couldn’t do as I had no transport home and so I insisted that the car was looked at there and then. It was returned to me about 20 minutes later and this time I was not instructed to leave the showroom.
I’ve no intention of ever taking my car there again. Terrible way to treat customers. Shame on you
The next day I decided to seek further advice from another garage. As soon as I told them the problem they asked me if there was any water in the car and asked me if I’d had a windscreen replacement. After some 20 minutes on the phone and after taking my car to this garage they diagnosed the problem and the remedy all free advice
I emailed Ardens and complained and was met with a brick wall. They told me that they had diagnosed the part which needed replacement but it wasn’t their responsibility to find the cause
They refused to take the matter further but I can tell you I will be
Arden Mini Maidstone
Arden Mini Maidstone
I lease/purchased a Mini Clubman John Cooper Works in June 2018. In August of this year I noticed the black stripes I requested to be fitted starting to peel. After initially being told they were under warranty I was then informed that they weren't, as retro fitted items were only warranted for two years; despite never being advised of this shortfall and noticing the defect just a couple of months outside the warranty period, but no doubt apparent during that time
Very professional.
Very professional.
Friendly & polite.
Nothing is too much trouble.
Lovely showroom.
Faultless experience
Brilliant service from start to finish, great car, very fair price and special mention to Stephen Spalding who was extremely accommodating and even willing to hand the car over outside of his working hours if needed. Thank you to everyone at Arden
5*Arden Maidstone BMW
The service from the team at Arden BMW Maidstone has been first class from start to finish.(second time I purchased a car ). I'd like to personally thank Phillip Lyon who went to extraordinary lengths to show and explain all the options available during purchase. He gave me regular updates on the progress of the new car. He was extremely polite and answered all my concerns promptly. Highly recommend dealing with him. Thanks Phill. Again, excellent service on collection day and the car looked fantastic
Avoid at all cost
Avoid at all cost,
Went to buy a used 1 series for my nephew was dealing with a guy called Gary
When pointing out that the car looked unkempt Gary's words were no problem I can sell it someone else even tho his attitude wasn't polite and the car wasn't all that I still went ahead to buy the car as my nephew was keen on buying it, we went in to finalise the deal, whilst dealing with Gary out of nowhere another salesman by the name of Steven started to interfere while I was negotiating with Gary, when I said I was dealing with Gary and why was he interfering
He was very rude and had a very aggressive made a very offensive comment, quote "you lot a filth "
And then offered me to come back when he finishes work at 7pm, with what is going on around the world with BLM this guy STEVEN thinks he can make comments like this and thinks he can offer customers for a evening brawl, unbelievable
I have been to many car dealers and never in my life experienced anything like this,
At the end didn't buy the car went to Barons BMW in hindshead and bought a car from John, who went over and beyond,
As for Arden and Steven, BMW head office will be dealing with my complaint, and a article will be written in my local newspaper.
Arden Maidstone MINI - USELESS
Arden Maidstone MINI .
Bought the car from them 2 years ago , no problem. First service due , booked in , even welcomed the call about selling me a service package . Brought my car in on the day it was due to be serviced to be told they are fully booked .
You couldn't make this up . Complained by email and on telephone especially as they pride themselves on their customer service. Its been over a week and not even had a response .
So my business has now been switched to Stephen James car booked in and serviced cheaper . BOOM .
Well done MIni Adren . what a great way to look after your customers and the continued support you ride yourselves on. Keep it up and you'll soon have no customers left .
What a rip off
What a rip off. Took my car there twice. The second time they said I would need to take out my parrot Bluetooth and put it back to original spec at a cost of £2000 for them to do it and they said they would not supply me with a new CAS unit (730 inc vat) until this was done. The problem was residue in the DME ( Digital Motor Electronic) unit that I cleaned out myself(40 minutes) This was the problem when I first took it in and the were saying it needed a new CAS unit.
Avoid at all costs.

Bought a brand new mini clubman in 2016. Very poorly manufactured. The back doors wouldn’t open, there was a hole in the AC, it jumped every time it went in to reverse.
I think minis company policy is to sell as aggressively as you can and if they don’t buy be as rude as possible to get them out.
My weather strip broke when my car was under warranty, I took it to Arden and they said it had to have a full assessment to see if it was under warranty but it was less than three years old. Then they wouldn’t give me a courtesy car to have my car all day.
The part was only £20 so I thought it’ll be easier to just buy it and get someone to fit it but they wanted £40+ to fit the piece.
When I declined the fit the man went in to the back and left me there. They ordered the wrong part and wouldn’t let me return it, despite having the invoice in my hand, he said he couldn’t find the invoice on the system.
I complained to HO who said I could have a refund and that Arden has sent a cheque.
I then received a message to call them in regards to the refund and a rude man asked for my bank details.
A month on and no refund. Surprise surprise. I can’t wait to get rid of the stupid car so I don’t have to deal with these people anymore.
Don’t buy a mini and don’t buy from Arden.
Do not buy a used car from Arden
Purchased a 1 year old Bmw in March 2018 which was a car that had been in ownership by Arden from new.
Fast forward to May 2019 and 3 of the alloys are corroding which should be covered under warranty right? Wrong, in having these inspected by another dealer for a warranty claim the wheels have been refurbished and are not covered under warranty. These certainly haven’t been refurbished by myself and having called Arden twice to report this, I have been fobbed off on both occasions. One time stating that they have no record of the wheels being refurbished and claiming that the sales person who dealt with the sale has never worked there ( I have numerous emails from this person including one with the order) to being put through to their service department to being rudely told I have the wrong department despite their staff putting me through to said department.
Despite 2 phone calls Arden have failed to contact me to explain why they have sold me a car that has a voided warranty for work they carried out and did not divulge at point of sale and what they intent to do to resolve this issue.
I purchased from an approved dealer to provide comfort that you are purchasing a car without hidden history, in this instance they have failed.
Avoid this dealer.
