Alex was super helpful with getting the bike set up and explaining how everything worked with suspension adjustment, the motor etc. being my 1st EMTB bike. Would definitely come back here again.

Best Balfe’s about
I’ve had experiences with most of the different Balfe’s Bikes and the folks at Waterloo stand tall amongst the rest.
I used a cycle to work vouchers in part to upgrade my gravel bike and the lad who helped did an incredible job.
I’m a relative novice in terms of parts and quality, but I said what I did and didn’t like and he put together an incredible upgrade.
I went back to get my bike with no problems, as the gears settled, they started make a crunching sound, popped in and they sorted it with no quibble.
Cannot recommend them enough!

Great service from lovely staff
Great service from lovely staff. Even though the shop was busy they took time to get me different sizes and makes of shoe and helmet and made sure that I was happy with the fit of both. Plus the price on both was really good value!

Best bike shop in Lambeth?
Very friendly, helpful and expert. I went in with a problem on my Brompton and they fixed it for free and very quickly. Also gave me advice on lubricating my chain. Brilliant - would definitely return and recommend! Thank you!

Very helpful and encouraging
Got a new helmet, came back 2 months later for some insoles and a saddle. Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable, someone even lent me their own helmet to try on because they did have that size in stock.

Great new bike and payment plan
Great new bike and payment plan, but the shop is way too busy to only have two staffs available.
Had to wait a fair amount of time to collect my brand new bike, and given that it's a chain store, the company should invest in having a more seemsless service.
- No issues with the staff support, just a company's demand problem.

Great handling of manufacturer return
The team at Balfe's Waterloo handled a warranty return for me when the manufacturer was less than helpful. They arranged a replacement and got me on the road for summer bike trip, removing hassle of dealing with the manufacturer.

Great Buying Experience at Balfe's Bikes

Care about the small things
Used several times for small inexpensive parts that a bike shop may not care about. They do care and have been really impressed with the service I've had and heard them giving other customers when I've been in the shop (Waterloo)

I recently bought a Specialized Allez…
I recently bought a Specialized Allez E5 from Balfe’s. Overall the experience was very positive and the staff was friendly. There was a sort of delay on the day of bike collection which caused slight disappointments but it was more attributed to fixing some issues with breaks, so glad due diligence was done.
Balfe was also later able to compensate for me for a sudden price drop just days after buying the bike which I think was a great gesture and speaks about their focus on customer experience.

A joyful buying experience
Balfe's Bikes in Waterloo makes the purchase of my new gravel bike a joy! The bike was ready assembled at the shop, and I got to test-ride it on the road near the shop, and final adjustments were made before leaving the shop. Friendly and very helpful staff. Very happy with the service... and the bike, of course.
