Neil from Customer Service was very helpful in regards to explaining different upgrade options. I regularly claim for therapies on my BHSF policy and claims are always handled swiftly and efficiently. Would recommend.

I have been with BHSF for over 30 years. Well since I was a student nurse at 19 and I’m now 55.
A few years ago I changed NHS Trusts and as the new Trust didn’t use BHSF I continued as a private customer even though it was a lot more expensive. I was a VERY loyal customer, probably their perfect customer as I never really claimed in 30 years !
I then used the physio and the optical and dentist benefit a few times over the last couple of years - wow talk about stab in the back. My single person platinum premium went from £26 a month to £56!!!
I rang to discuss and was just advised that they had to make increases with everyone but this was like 115 % overnight !! The advisor said it was to be expected.
I challenged this as this hike was genuinely unreasonable and was basically told tough if you don’t like it leave.
However ….. this was the hurtful bit. After 30+ years loyalty … if I rejoined now as a brand new customer with a different surname and e mail it’s the pre 115 % price rise - so half the price and hundreds of pounds cheaper !!!

I rang again & spoke with Manreece Grewal who was very helpful & said he would contact IT. I sent him an email showing the error message & the problem was resolved by the end of the day. My claim has already been processed by the next day.
