Awfull staff, they need a course in customer service.

Customer service always good at the Malton branch

We visited the Mablethorpe branch yesterday. The staff were very welcoming pleasant & helpful making for a superb shopping experience.
Well done Mablethorpe branch, we will be back.

Use the Goole branch. No matter what you need, you can get it here. Real old fashioned emporium, brilliant staff. Always pleasant and helpful. The customer is always treated like they are the only one that matters

Terrible costumer service in Grimsby shop. Won't shop there again.

I visited the Louth store at 5 pm on 23/12/2021 (store closes at 5.30 pm). I headed straight to the craft floor where the rude female staff member saw me looking at needles and immediately turned the display lights out. It was clearly her home time. She then yelled at me to go downstairs and pay as the till upstairs was closed. Unfortunately, I don't respond to being yelled at, so I don't feel the staff member deserved any of my attention. I continued to browse in semi darkness for the size I required and then went downstairs to pay. There are ways and means of conveying a message to customers but this ignorant person doesn't seem to have general intelligence or wit to demonstrate any customer skills. I did complain to the manager who agreed the service was poor and that she would speak to the female the following day. However, I gave 3 stars because the lady on the till, who did serve me, was very polite. Staff training needed!

Very helpful on till. Packed 2 bags of xmas shopping for me. Security man opened door for me to go out. Had some returns the next day and same great service. It's the little things like this that add to a good shopping experience.

I visited Retford branch on Saturday 27th November. I have never experienced such bad customer service. The shop floor assistant snatched an item which I wss purchasing from my hand & spoke to me dreadfully. Hence I left the my items & walked out. They definitely need to do some staff customer service training. I won't be returning.

noticed men's jeans had gone up in price in matter of weeks by £2 a pair!! i would like to know the reason why they have gone up all of a sudden! very disappointing!! awaitng to here your reply!! thanks

Recently have received appalling service at Boyes in COALVILLE. On two separate occasions when making purchases at the till point the staff have continued personal conversations and virtually ignored me. I consider this to be absolutely ignorant and very bad manners. Am going to have to stop shopping there. I feel sad about the state of retail but having this experience I am not really surprised that people are choosing to shop online.

The girl Izzie was fantastic she found me another one & spoke to the check out lady . Everything went smooth

Good shop but very disappointed to see the coffee was closed

I asked a lady in the Arnold boys where something was and she looked at me I’m a disgusting way and was very rude!!

Bad service and never going back security is Harassing customer not very Professional. Other customers beware of this place. Lady at the till didn't even greet me the other day when I was being served and spent the whole transaction timw speaking to her colleague next to her.

Closed at 4pm? In the current economic climate? Who is that supposed to benefit? Must be pandering to the staff because it's certainly not the customer, especially those who also work as they don't open until a good hour after their rivals (Wilko) then lock up again before anyone can get there. Used to be my 'go to' store but it is fast heading the way of Woolworths IMO. Shame the CEO won't be reading these reviews.

My carer took my 8 yr old niece into boyes hull holderness road branch and both witnessed a customer ask a member of staffif she could show him where an item was and she said its just down that isle and pointed, the gentleman said i,ve looked but i cant see it could you show me please. The assistant in question slammed her book down stormed off in the direction of the item and shouted at the customer its effing there righi n front of my niece i aint happy at all and a complaint has gone into the store manager but this company has gone down hill thats for sure.

I went into the Beverley shop today and there was a very loud cashier expressing her views on various things. She was so loud I could hear her half way down the shop. There was no queue when I got to the till but the two cashiers didn't see me as they were too busy having a chat so I had to attract the attention of one of them and asked if she was serving. Normally the staff are good but I'm wondering if they have employed new members. It was very loud and overpowering and the experience put me off shopping there again.

Boyes DARLINGTON, don’t be in the shop close the closing 3 times in 2 mins was told you need to go as you will be locked in. On way out (6 people in the cue). I advised the lady it’s not 4pm yet and we have been asked 3 times to head out. Not very good in the current economy shops closing all over should be encouraging shopping in stores instead of being rushed out.

Amazing store. Superb friendly staff. Splendid merchandise, clean and neat. Love their haberdashery. Now if only they did sewing repairs I would be in heaven🥰...

Got back from work and couldn't really be bothered to call but checked online and it closes 5.30pm so I thought I still have time to go. Got there for 5.15 to find the doors to be locked and they've closed early with no staff to be seen! Also has the times on the door stating 5.30pm it closes! Very annoying!!!
