Bad Customer Service by Management
I am writing to formally complain about Restaurant Manager Danielle at the North Ftw Cheaders located off Sage Meadows. I ordered a takeout Dijon Chicken and Rice with Mushrooms, along with two side dishes. Unfortunately, my meal lacked sufficient Dijon Sauce, which contained two chicken breasts. The provided sauce was inadequate; I requested a container of extra sauce to supplement my meal. However, the container was insufficient to cover even one chicken breast. I was quite disappointed by this. Consequently, I called the restaurant the following day to request additional containers of Dijon Mustard Sauce. After driving approximately 10 to 15 minutes to pick up these condiments from the takeout station, a young lady, with her Manager, came out to speak with me regarding my complaint. She inquired why I did not call earlier that evening. I explained that I had ordered the meal last night just before closing. She returned with two small containers of Dijon Mustard Sauce, both nearly half empty. I combined the contents of these containers, but they still failed to adequately cover my entire meal. Considering current gas prices, I found it to be an unnecessary waste of my time to return to the restaurant for this purpose. As a result, I have decided that I will no longer order a Dijon Chicken Meal for takeout. I believe the Manager should have ensured my satisfaction and that my time was well spent in returning to the establishment. Such conduct does not reflect good customer service.

Poor service clean the table is sticky where you sit it took 15 minutes to get drinks. The seats are squishy and soft. If I was you, I never again anybody cheddars, Poor service
I went to Cheddars on N Dalemabry hwy…
I went to Cheddars on N Dalemabry hwy in Tampa, Florida, I paid cash $40.00 and tipped $4 when I picked up the food. When I got home I found out that my boyfriend had paid the order online without me knowing. I called management at the Cheddars location I had went to and the manager was not helpful at all. I won’t be going back, the person that brought out the food kept my money knowing the order had already been paid.
Revolting.
My husband and I went for dinner on…
My husband and I went for dinner on sunday evening at the Sherman, TX Cheddars. We saw they had there onion rings back on menu (7.99) which we use to love them, they were below standard and as long as we waited on them they should have been fresh, they were below room temperature, we did eat some of them but was very disappointed. Also, I ordered chicken tenders which were always great, but this again was room temperature or below, french fries had been sitting for some time, just not fresh. My husband ordered chicken fried chicken, again room temperature, burnt on top and very disappointed. Broccoli and rice caserole was below room temperature and our poor waitress was hardly seen but we did receive refills on our drinks which was a plus. FOOD QUALITY HAS GONE DOWN AND IS VERY DISAPPOINTING
Dear Jermaine,
Dear Jermaine,
I’m writing to express my disappointment with the customer service I received at Cheddar’s regarding a coupon for a free appetizer.
Before coming in, I called the restaurant and explained that I had the coupon. I was told to go ahead and pay for the appetizer and that I would be reimbursed when I arrived. Based on that assurance, I did exactly that. However, when I got there, I was told, “Sorry, we can’t do that—you can use the coupon on your next visit.”
That is not what I was told on the phone, and it put me in a very frustrating position. Being given one set of instructions and then having them reversed at the restaurant feels misleading and unprofessional. From my perspective, this came across as a bait-and-switch, and it left a very bad impression.
I’m asking that this be made right—either by reimbursing me for the appetizer as promised or honoring the coupon as it should have been in the first place. More importantly, I hope this can be addressed so other customers don’t have the same experience.
I’ve always expected better from Cheddar’s, which is why this was especially disappointing. I look forward to your response.
Sincerely,
LK
Banned for life
Today ( November 19th, 2025) I went to meet my sister for lunch at one of our favorite places in Cookeville to eat, Cheddar's, only to be told we were both banned for life for being racists. When I got there my sister was crying and they would not tell her why we were banned. I went in alone and talked to the assistant manger. She told me a woman was offended by something I had said last week (I believe on the 3rd of Nov.) Said I had made racist slurs and made her scared. Let me make it perfectly clear I, nor my sister are NOT racist, we were not raised that way. We were banned without them hearing our side of this drama. Gee, I thought we lived in America where you are innocent until proven guilty. They prejudged us without a trial.
My sister and I are long time patrons of Cheddar's, some of our friends are too. I told the manager, “You know us, you know we are not racist.” She responded with, “I know, but it is company policy....” “To ban people for life for something you know is not true?” I say back to her.
I remember talking with this trainee. I thought she was sweet. She never indicated that anything I said bothered her. She should have told me. I don't agree, but I still would have apologized. I treated her no different than any other person I ever talked to. Keep in mind my sister never even talked to this girl, she was involved chatting with someone else) so why was she banned? My sister is also deaf in one ear and can hardly hear out the other, so I highly doubt she even heard our conversation. I was told that she accused both of us.
I am 72 and my sister is 68. I don't know the purpose behind this, to get two old white women banned? I hope not, I am old enough to remember the riots of the 60's, I thought we had progressed away from those times. I realize people get offended very easily these days. This girl wants to work in a customer service position? She better get a tougher skin if she was offended by anything I said. This girl isn't from here, will not work here, we will never see each other again, so why get us banned as a parting shot and why is Cheddar's a partner in this? I like the people at Cheddar's that is why we always go there. We like to sit at the bar (Neither of us drink) and chat. The people in the bar know us well. But this is wrong. I am offended. My sister is horrified. We are being banned from coming in, sitting a spell and talking to old friends because of what one person said we did. Is this what we have come to? One person has the power to ruin part of another person's life, to take away something important to them? We are being accused of something we thought we would never be accused of. I feel Cheddar's has not done right by us. She was an employee, we were customers. How is she going to react when someone really does insult her? It will probably happen sooner than later if she plans on being a bartender or manager. I used to waitress, I have dealt plenty with rude, food throwing, insulting people when I was no older than that girl is now. I didn't dwell on it, I went on to the next customer. I represented the company I worked for as an adult.
Oh yes, I forgot. What ever happened to free speech?
What do I want from this? An apology from Cheddar's and the ban dropped.
I am sadden to say this
I am sadden to say this, but their ribs are now the worst tough and dry not eatable!!! Seriously what happened guys they were once awesome in fact the strips have gone down also what a shame. The waitress was great very understanding.
Always dirty
This establishment used to be such a desirable place to be and eat. Now a days it’s just always dirty, floors are dirty, bathrooms are dirty, and food is sub par. Sorry Cheddars, just being honest.
We brought our 90-year-old mother there…
We brought our 90-year-old mother there for lunch. We're in our 70's. Felt right at home, as always, with the dining areas full of people our age. Unfortunately, the choice of music and volume were downright uncomfortable. We asked to have it turned down and thankfully, they did, but there was still thumping of bass. Most older people have hearing issues, and the bass makes it worse. The food was also too salty. Salt can be added to dishes at the table for those who want more. Let the flavor of the food come through. The waiter, Arturo, was great, though.
Very Surprised experience
Normally very critical of most restaurants. BUT Cheddars, Chattanooga, Tn very highly impressed with their service and their chef. This is the first restaurant,in a long time, where the chef knows how to cook steaks. Superb and knows how to listen to how people wants their steak. All food was very good. Highly recommend this restaurant. Overall experience, excellent. The server did not rush us, allowed us to enjoy our meal and at the end of the meal, he did not ignore our table.
I ordered a meal online in Greenville
I ordered a meal online in Greenville, NC from cheddars I went to pick up my order to find out when I got home my order was missing a side. I called the restaurant and the manager took her time to answer after hanging up and calling back for the second time she finally took my call when I told her one of my sides was missing her response was they were out of the broccoli casserole I asked her why wasn’t I told this when you handed me my order!!She says she forgot and could reimburse part of my money back.. I haven’t received part of my money back yet.. I feel this was very unprofessional and inconsiderate..
Wonderful food and service
Absolutely loved their chicken tenders. The pain killer drink was to die for (pun intended). We eat here quite a bit once every month or two. My husband got the ribs and shrimp plate. The ribs were so tender I could eat them without my teeth!
We went to Cheddars at Brooks City Base…
We went to Cheddars at Brooks City Base in San Antonio, TX. It was about 8:00 pm. The place was almost empty. It took the waiter over 10 minutes to wait on us. We ordered our drinks and told him we were ready to order our food. He left with our drink order and it took him another 10 minutes to return and get our food order. All the area around us was empty. No other customers in our area. Two of my daughters ordered the shirt alfredo; they never received the garlic bread that comes with it but it has it on the receipt. I ordered the Steak & Tenders. He asked me what kind of dipping sauce. I told him Ranch which never came to the table. I ordered a baked potato and Coleslaw. The baked potato was cold. I showed the waiter how and cold the baked potato was and he did apologize. I told him that they needed to pay attention to the orders and make sure everything was on the plate when they served it. I didn't call for the manager because this was a quiet dinner with my family due to us not being able to get together for a while. Not a good experience.
My wife and I went to Cheddars with our…
My wife and I went to Cheddars with our 5 year old granddaughter. We got there at 4 pm on a Saturday; the wait was 20 minutes. 30 minutes in I asked the young hostess to seat us because 3 booths and an 8-chair table were open in the area by the aquarium for half of my wait time. Finally, at 5:05 pm they sat us at one of the booths that had literally been open for 50 minutes. I was not happy and let the young hostess know she was not being honest with us or doing her job. She was snippy, defensive and not helpful. Evidently the kitchen got behind and the manager told staff to not seat anyone. If they had been honest when we checked in; we at least would have had the choice to leave. The waiter was good, and our food was ok, not worth a 90-minute wait for food. We will not be returning, never saw the manager.

I found hair in my food the service is great but the hair in my food is not great!!!! we were still charged for the food that contained hair.
honestly it’s no stars
honestly it’s no stars. I was “hired” by a manager I come in the first day and a mean lady comes and tells me if she can help me and I told her it was my first day, and she said “I don’t remember seeing you , im the one who does the interviews” she had an attitude the whole time and I was being nice. I was a lil embarrassed of her acting that way towards me especially with 2 other workers right there with her. she said everything in a rude way. “There’s not even a spot for host or to go so..” all I said was thank you and left. Never again I don’t recommend you working or even going there where there is attitude and no respect.
Waitress lacked training
Waitress lacked training. Rare sighting during meal. No refills of drinks, avoidance of eye contacts when in the room. No option for dessert. Mistakes on bill. Then there's the food: my ribeye steak was the worse quality meat, much gristle throughout! Tough, not flavorful! Cheddar's has a good chicken pot pie. Never buy the steak!
Completely satiated!
Completely satiated!
Dad had the meatloaf w/brown gravy, green beans and cole slaw, Mom had white fish with broccoli casserole and rice, I had side salad with my chicken pot pie - we ALL LOVED OUR DINNERS! Everything was served hot and the flavor was delicious. The portions (a bit large for M&D but they love the leftovers and the chicken pot pie was EXACTLY as I thought it should taste.
Or server, Lindsay, was kind, professional and quick. My parents had never eaten here before and they are looking forward to coming back! Thank you
Not worth 1star
Not worth 1star. Manager at St Lucie West Port St. Lucie location treated my girlfriend with an attitude and angry tone.My girlfriend was vaping at the bar , yes this was against your rules , however the manager stated “ you can’t vape in here , I watched you vape 3 times in a stern voice. You can’t vape in my building. She was talking in a rude demeanor like my girlfriend was 5 years old. I am a manager for a multibillion multinational company. I would never talk to a customer in the manner and attitude she did. Having angry and aggressive managers on staff would never be tolerated at my business. We will never return to this business or any other business owned by Darden restaurants. Maybe manager training in in order for you company.
