Generally good and easy to use
Generally a good and easy to use accounting package for a small business at a very reasonable cost. The only drawback this year was an incomplete implementation of all the entries on my tax return which meant that I had to use HMRC's system rather than Clearbooks for this.

Sole Trader first year of MTD
I'm a sole trader and this is my first year of MTD. My accounts are reasonably simple and I find ClearBooks very easy and intuitive to use. I like it for meeting my needs without being overcomplicated or top heavy. With a linked bank account quite a lot is done automatically. Submitting quarterly to HMRC has been very quick and straightforward. And when I have needed it the customer support has been excellent; quick, personal and clear. I reccomend!

It took me a little while to understand…
It took me a little while to understand how Clear Books works. The copious explanations available online are a huge help in that respect. Now that I have that knowledge, I find this a very powerful software at a great price.

Some things are easy & make a lot of…
Some things are easy & make a lot of sense but some the menu's need to be more eleborate, ie you dont have to keep searching in sub menus etc

Confusing for a beginner!
I’ve never had to use accounting software before and found it very difficult to get to grips with. Some of my costs are shared between 2 properties so I found the bank fees impossible. Help desk brilliant though

App is terrible,can’t take pictures of…
App is terrible,can’t take pictures of receipts for expenses because there is no expenses option and can’t send to hmrc once completed.I cancelled my subscription because of this issue
