Once I got used to it
Once I got used to it, it's easy enough to use. I have some minor issues with column layouts, and categorisations for expense type.

Not great for my type of business
Not great for my type of business. Very unintuitive, confusing to use. And the MTD thing has been glitching since day one. so still got no tax estimate. Only use because government force us to.

easy to input but would like it if only the current quarter figures shown as that would be easier to check figures are correct. Other quarters figures can always be viewed on other report pages.

Generally a good and easy to use accounting package for a small business at a very reasonable cost. The only drawback this year was an incomplete implementation of all the entries on my tax return which meant that I had to use HMRC's system rather than Clearbooks for this.

Sole Trader first year of MTD
I'm a sole trader and this is my first year of MTD. My accounts are reasonably simple and I find ClearBooks very easy and intuitive to use. I like it for meeting my needs without being overcomplicated or top heavy. With a linked bank account quite a lot is done automatically. Submitting quarterly to HMRC has been very quick and straightforward. And when I have needed it the customer support has been excellent; quick, personal and clear. I reccomend!
