It was a pleasure to deal with a company that is NOT solely using on line facilities and that it is possible to speak to a human being if required. Also the rates quoted {compared with previous organisations} are far superior. Many thanks for providing car cover for another year.

uncompeditive amount compared with shopping around.
I found their behaviour fraudulant.

I am sorry to hear that you are not happy with the auto-renewal process.

We notify all customers well in advance of their renewal of our intention to automatically renew their policy and include how to contact us should you not wish to accept. This process is in place to avoid our customers not being aware that their policy has ended at renewal and inadvertently driving uninsured.

Poor customer service team, will leave you frazzled

This is my second review - and unfortunately second contact with call centre has been dreadful. It looks great on comparison website - all bells and whistles policy, but if you need to make contact, don’t bother. Stick with a big name insurer who has a great customer care - whatever you buy is only as good as the way they handle an issue and this is poor.
Update: If you are lucky enough to speak with Leanne (who contacts you about your experience) and does not work in the call centre - she is amazing, she deals with any issues immediately and resolves. Please sack the call centre and put Leanne in charge :-)

7 months left on my policy.

7 months left on my policy.. charged me £110 for cancelling my policy.... £65 for cancelation fee which is fine... but £45 for them to arrange the cancellation is diabolical? what's the point in a cancellation fee in the first place if they charge more to arrange it, shocking service

I’m absolutely disgusted with my…

I’m absolutely disgusted with my experience cancelling my policy with Dial Direct Car Insurance. Being charged an £87 cancellation fee is completely excessive and feels totally unjustified. Yes, the process could be done online, but that doesn’t excuse such an over-the-top charge.

What’s even more concerning is that I’ve now noticed discrepancies between the scheduled direct debit amounts and what was actually taken from my account, which was higher than agreed. This appears to be a clear breach of the Direct Debit Guarantee and raises serious concerns about their billing practices and transparency.

Overall, this has been a very disappointing experience. Between the excessive cancellation fee and the incorrect payments taken, I’ve completely lost trust in this company. I expected much better in terms of fairness and accuracy. I wouldn’t recommend based on how this situation has been handled.

What a con this company took all my…

What a con this company took all my remaining months cover in charges!
Cancelled the car policy after 7.5 months because I changed my car and DirectLine could not meet the new requirements.
They charged me full year for breakdown cover, 45 pounds intermediary charge & 60 pounds cancellation fee, this left no refund. Never ever use them again. Also their website did not work for cancellation and their phone line service was pathetic.

Amazing

Amazing, I got a quote and paid for the insurance on a Friday, I was really pleasantly surprised then 3 days later to receive £80 back to my account as I had more no claims than I first thought.
Also got RAC cover and key cover as part of the costs.

Terrible and very rude service I…

Terrible and very rude service I received today from what seemed like an Indian call centre, I just wanted to chance over my car insurance to another car and it could not have been more complicated not to mention the premium rising from my existing policy by more than £1500 !! And that was for a smaller car, the call centre where unable to give m a new quote and just gave me my new monthly payment that was from £18 a month to £98 a month , when questioned I just received a rude reply and was asked what don’t I understand!!! Policy will now be cancelled and already I’ve insured my new car along with 3 named drivers for £330

RUDE!!!

Absolutely disgusting behaviour from you as you renew an insurance that I never even wanted and did not discuss with you and to cancel you want £25 off of me. Are you taking the PI**!!!

Sorry but if I wanted any insurance then I would ask you!! So RUDE!!!!

We make all of our customers aware 28 days in advance of their renewal both by email and post if the email is not opened. We notify you of our intent to automatically renew unless contacted; this is to protect drivers from inadvertently driving uninsured and our fee if the policy is cancelled after the renewal is processed. That said, I can understand the frustration of paying a fee for a policy that you did not wish to have, and if you send your policy details to us at socialresponders@bglgroup.co.uk we will look into this further for you.

Your renewal quote was excessive

Your renewal quote was excessive. I went to compare themarket and got a cheaper quote . Seems I shouldn't look at your renewal quote ever. I know that website got a commission. Would it not be easier to give me a genuine quote where you miss out quoting ridiculous increases and not having to pay third parties commissions.

Company did not register my insurance…

Company did not register my insurance with the government database. I am now being prosecuted and they do not communicate in any way.
The only contact number is very slow to answer. 7 days after making a complaint I have heard nothing.
Appalling service.

Worst car insurance company ever!

The company will completely maximise the time it takes to deal with a third party claim. I was rear-ended by another driver while stationary at a stop street, He was super apologetic and was as helpful as possible, but his insurance company is Dial Direct. They have been completely unhelpful and I am forced to wait 4 weeks for my car to be fixed.
