This product should not be permitted…
This product should not be permitted for sale. I am currently undergoing treatment under the guidance of my dentist and ordered the whitening kit directly through them.
I have previously undergone teeth whitening treatments without incident; however, I have never experienced pain of this severity with any other product or brand.
As of 12:00 p.m, I have been in significant pain/discomfort since 7:00 a.m. and have taken eight painkillers with no relief whatsoever. This level of pain is both alarming and unacceptable for a dental whitening product. I had to stop for 2 nights and tried again last night; I am now going to discontinue use.
I am extremely concerned by this experience and question how this product has been approved for sale. I believe this matter warrants an urgent review and a formal response.
Noting the reviews, I can see I am not alone!

Having sensitivity, especially after previously whitening without issue, must be very distressing and we completely understand why this has caused concern for you
Whilst some sensitivity can occur during any whitening treatment, the level of pain you have described is clearly significant and should be assessed by your dentist before any further use. As they prescribed the kit and treatment planned your case, they are best placed to examine your teeth, assess whether there may be any underlying causes of heightened sensitivity, and advise on the most appropriate next steps
You mentioned that you have used whitening products before without any problems. Sensitivity can vary between treatments and from patient to patient depending on factors such as enamel condition, existing sensitivity, application routine or other underlying dental factors. This is why a clinical assessment is so very important in situations like these
Experiences of sensitivity can understandably feel alarming, but they don't necessarily indicate a product fault. Your dentist’s clinical findings will help determine what may have contributed in your particular case and we are absolutely happy to assist them, and you, in any way we possibly can
As UK regulations don't allow us to discuss treatments directly with patients, your dentist remains the most appropriate person for monitoring your progress and providing appropriate clinical guidance. Though, we genuinely do want to help and will do everything we can from our side to support your dentist in reviewing this properly for you
