Honest and upfront advice
Recently bought a Specialized Roubaix - fast delivery and on time. Chris in the Southampton shop set it all up for me and did a bike fit. Very helpful advice and in no way pushy just honest and upfront.
Should like to award 5 stars, B U T . . .
This, despite, most excellent, ORTLIEB panniers arriving long after I'd returned from cycle tour of Isle of ARRAN, circa, 2012-17?
This, yet again, due to doubt due to appalling, EVRI and/or DPD couriers?
However, given my brand new, once used GIANT shouldn't have been stolen, by the inverDeplorables, inverMESS, 2021? I shouldn't need to replace them too.
But, not since SportsDirect.CON whom I paid £28.72 for 100% cotton socks, circa 2006-12, only to belatedly learn were but only 22%. Where upon, I shouldn't have had to return them, inverMESS where upon they retained the socks & my money, without replacing as should have.
Given, which. Much as I should like to, I haven't & shant be repurchasing anything from EVANS bicycles, SportsDirect.CON, nor WIGGLE whom sold me an all but useless VANGO Banshee tent, which was quite at variance with that other, most excellent tent, Force Ten, purchased circa, 2009, but likewise, since acquired by SportsDirect.CON. Thanks but NO THANKS.
Pinnacle Cobalt 3 09 Blue (B) S
My son, who is a bike tech, has placed many orders over the years with Evan Cycles, and has always been very happy with the all round quality of items and service, so he obviously recommended that I order my new bike from there.
It arrived today and I am absolutely delighted! It basically came ready to go! All that was needed was to attach the pedals and adjust the seat :)
I love the bike, it's perfect for me.
I cannot fault the delivery service either. It came in good time and the delivery man phoned in the morning to let me know when they expected to arrive. The tracking was simple and easy to follow and very useful.
Thank you very much for an all round great shopping experience.
I highly recommend this company
After sale care is lacking
I purchased a Cube Reaction performance from your Chelmsford branch for over £2,000. Also paid £150 for a service plan.
Within 16 miles the chain snapped, but rather than just replaced the chain at the store’s cost, my bike is being held random in your store (2 weeks now) whilst Evans squabble with the manufacturer/chain company to source a replacement chain.
Come on Evans you can do better at this price bracket! The store should swallow the cost of a new chain and follow up the warranty claim without holding me to random.

Very poor at stock management / advertising and customer service
Ordered a pair of panniers for my bike however only one turned up. Rather than send the missing item I had to return the item and then they said they would send a correct pair. Once they received the item back they then said none left so we’re cancelling the order. Full refund but two weeks of going round in a circle and then needing to start again🥱

Damaged goods recieved. Returns process complictaed and yet to successfully navigate customer services.
I never usually write a review but I…
I never usually write a review but I feel this is justified. I visited thier Glasgow store to purchase 2 bikes for my daughters. Soon as I walked in I was met by a very pushy new Sales representative who was more interested in selling us a bike she had in mind rather than listening to what we wanted. But anyway my daughter fell in love with one and my other daughter liked another via a picture I sent her (as she couldn't be there that day). So next we move on to the purchase.. knowing I had a fraser plus account it unlocked a fair chunk of discount off the bikes (over £100). So paid for the bikes there and then. Next to be told come back in the afternoon to collect the bikes. I told the tech guy I would definitely need them before 4pm at the latest as I needed enough time to make my ferry home to the Scottish island I live on. Anyway 2pm comes around and I get a phone call.. bikes are ready but there is a problem and I need to pay more money. So when I walk in to the store to find out why I need to pay more. I find out although I have a fraser plus account I have to put the purchase on the account rather than paying for it there and then. So not wanting to waste more time having an argument I agree to pay and leave the store with the bikes. On taking them to the car to remove the front wheels to get them in, the quick release wheel comes off no problem. The second bike has an Allen key skewer through it which was mega tight to get to budge. After a fair bit of a push it came loose. In the car they went.. next day I set the bikes up and daughters go off. After a day on the trials with the bikes, one of my daughters comes back saying the wheel is 'loose'. So I take a look and it all starts to twig. The skewer the tech guy had put on was cross threaded which was why it was so hard to remove. When I put it threaded as it should now it doesnt bite so it wont hold the wheel on. Now I've had to source a replacement skewer as it will cost me about £80 more just to take it back to the store (because of paying for a ferry ticket/fuel/time). So from start to finish its been a nightmare and they have lost a potential 3 more sales of bikes we need for the rest of the house. May just be a one off, but im not very impressed and take from my experience as you wish.

Sean from the Wimbledon Evans Cycles is the man. bro answered questions i didnt even know i needed to ask.
Just don’t use them
Just don’t use them, very quick to sell you a bike (or multiple bikes in my case) but almost refuse to help you afterwards even when you are willing to pay
Certainly won’t be using Evans cycles again and I would never recommend
them to anyone else
Your delivery is fine
Your delivery is fine. I bought two sets of lights last year and one is very good. I bought some Pinnacle light set and the rear light stopped working after three re-charges. It is useless. I did not use it until relatively recently, so probably out of warranty.
Sean was amazing
Sean was amazing, helped me with no problems at alls I recommend him to anyone. An asset to the team
Shocking Customer Service
Item orders on 26th February, currently 12th March despite being guided the kids bike we ordered would arrive before this date. It is impossible to get in contact with customer service, and have now missed my son’s birthday. Avoid at all costs.
Helpful and professional
Evans Cheetham Hill. Only went to collect a parcel but what struck me was how friendly and helpful the staff were. From welcome to leaving. Some great offers on at the moment too.

Ordered last night at 8pm and my new gear arrived at 4pm this afternoon, brilliant service and my new boots and gloves are just perfect, love them. Thank you will definitely purchase with you guys again
The gears on my new bike were not…
The gears on my new bike were not indexed property and were hard to go into gear and jumped out of gear. Could have done with a bit more attention to detail.
Classic Mis-Selling
I bought a bicycle online with the understanding that it would include 'Free professional bike build worth £35'. However the store I bought it from did not have this facility. Had I known this I could have had it delivered to somewhere that I could have built it myself and not to a town centre store where I had no facility to get it somewhere else.
Pretty awful ordered a bike took months…
Pretty awful ordered a bike took months to come and broke down multiple delivery days where the bike was never delivered or collected. I ordered the bike in December it march and I’m on my second faulty bike. Customer service are nice but they don’t take any responsibility as the bike is through a third party on their site…..
Better to go to the shop
