Bought from these in Covid

Bought from these in Covid, chair was excellent and thought I’d order another.

Ordered Wednesday evening and delivered on Friday morning. Looks brand new and saved over £500.

Don’t think they’re as big as they used to be but deffo still going xx

Long delays, but chair is good

I ordered a chair on August 14th and was told it would arrive in a couple of days. It just arrived on August 30th.

While waiting, I contacted the seller multiple times, and they repeatedly made confusing promises and excuses.

The chair has now arrived, and it's good. It's a little worn, but it's to be expected for the price. This could be a 5* service if the seller communicated clearly and handled delivery properly.

Amazing service

Saw an advert on Gumtree for a Herman miller mirra and got in touch with the seller. It was Geoff from G13 group. He was very patient and answered my numerous questions promptly. Ordered at the weekend and the chair arrived on Wednesday which was brilliant. The chair is in amazing condition and a quarter of the price of a new one. Very very happy and a huge thanks to Geoff at G13

Ordered the humanscale in brown and I must say it is absolutely fantastic. The colour is gorgeous and fits my home office perfectly.

3 day delivery. Excellent condition - looks brand new!

Very hesitant to order after reading…

Very hesitant to order after reading the reviews but the prices were so excellent I thought I’d take the risk. Spoke to a lady, forgot her name sorry. Said there was a lot of issues with the old director and they had taken over. Guaranteed next day delivery …….

Next came day and the chair arrived at 11.30am in a huge box. Herman Miller Mirra which looked to be mint condition. Less than a quarter of the price new. Say no more.

Zero communication. Potential SCAM.

I ordered a Steelcase Leap chair from this company after a friend recommended both the company and the chair to me (he ordered the same chair from them ~3 years ago).

My order confirmation stated I would receive order updates via text message but did not give me an estimated delivery date. 1 week later and still no updates so I attempted to make contact via the options listed on their website. The phone number "does not exist" (RED FLAG). The email has yet to receive a response. The Instagram DM has yet to receive a response.

After 2 weeks since making my purchase, and receiving no updates or communications, I was left with no other option but to attempt a refund via PayPal (the only payment option available on this website). The PayPal process allows time for the seller to resolve the issue without PayPal forcing a refund. Doing this I also saw the phone number attached to G13's PayPal account and tried giving that a call. Automated message "this number is not accepting calls" (RED FLAG).

One week after opening my ticket with PayPal, G13 has still not made contact with me and as such I have escalated the case and PayPal will hopefully refund my £349.00.

If this company is legitimate, they need to update their communication options. The moment your customer is met with a number that does not exist, they are immediately going to assume that their purchase was a scam. A customer needs an expected delivery date. A customer needs to be told if there is a delay or an issue. You don't just SAY NOTHING.

***UPDATE
17/12/23 one month after order I received, what I assume is an automated email, requesting a review on their website. What a joke.

18/12/23 I received my refund from Paypal where G13, once again, made absolutely no effort to communicate.

Shady company

Found a chair on sale on gumtree, he had the website name so I went there to purchase it through PayPal, spoke to him before as I was feeling safer paying through PayPal. I waited 7 days and got no communication or update, tried calling their number and it was disabled, emailed them multiple times and still no response. Had to raise a dispute on PayPal and got my funds back after 1 month. Tried calling the guy on gumtree and he said he doesn’t know them, even though all the pictures and descriptions were the same.
Please avoid them.

Doubtful they are genuine

I never received the chairs. Very communicative pre-sales over Gumtree but consistently false information about despatch. Their phone number doesn't work. The chat system was rarely answered. They went quiet on me when I asked for a refund. Bizarrely, I was issued an immediate refund when I submitted a paypal dispute. Not sure what they are playing at but I would side with all the negative reviewers that this company is not likely genuine. If they are, then they would have communicated better and truthfully. The mitigating responses to other reviews must be false, my experience has been the same. It's not worth dealing with them.

update from my previous review:
after being promised money compensation months ago and recieving nothing, along with a replacement part for my broken chair under warranty, they emailed me once i posted my review apologising and promising me compensation - then never replied again and the cycle continued. Aboslutely appauled and considering taking to court if my warranty isnt granted as advertised. Appauled.

As so many of the previous reviews - I placed an order for 2 chairs and paid through paypal - after one week I hadn't heard anything so I tried to contact the company
Preston phone number is permanently engaged.
I tried the online chat- no one answers and it times out. sent an email and I got one back confirming the delivery was on its way and would be delivered early the following week. Yet here we are another week on and no delivery and no contact. I have sent multiple emails and the telephone number still always engaged. I am currently sitting on the chat box refreshing my message every 30 so it doesn't time out. if I can't get a reply soon I will raise a dispute with paypal - like others on here reluctantly I would say AVOID - I'm based in Preston and the time I have wasted on this I could have driven to them and collected the chairs ( if they even exist of course)

A horrible experience with these guys, who ultimately lie about reasons to not deliver, stop responding and let paypal pick up their pieces when there is no funds in their own account to send back

A horrible experience with these guys. Don't trust this company. Paid for a chair from them through their website on 7th June. They will seemingly lie through their teeth to extend the wait for you, saying they will send tracking and 'will be on the delivery vehicle today' all sorts of stuff to placate and fight off the bad reviews... to the point they tell you full on conman details when pushed about their bad reviews (which I wish I'd seen an hour earlier to stop me buying!) - "yes we've had a rough few months recently - some of my employees have left to start a business on their own and they are doing everything they can to take us down, by leaving bad reviews - there is a court case ongoing..." yada yada...

There's only so much benefit of the doubt I can give - a months worth feels plenty long enough. I followed up multiple times and tried to hold them to their promise to send tracking, but they didn't and long and short of it - they ultimately stopped responding.

Paypal refund is a tiresome effort, with all my evidence being sent to G13 and paypal being very hands off so far, but refund was pending and now has 'failed' - I can only assume because G13 do not keep funds in their paypal or connected funding accounts to be able to process refunds. I already had a strong feeling that this would be the case - and sure enough - it seems that they are counting on paypal to refund me themselves through buyer protection, meaning G13 can get away with the money.

This outfit needs to be stopped, shut down and penalised. DON'T BUY HOPING YOUR EXPERIENCE WILL BE ANY DIFFERENT - in my experience, these guys are pure fraudsters. I have screenshots of all the correspondence and wish I could upload some of them to warn you off using this company but seemigly there is no function for that here. Don't trust a word they say, if you've bought from them - you need to go through the tangled web that is paypal refunds in order to have a hope of returning your money. I'm sorry but I have absolutely nothing good to say here. Stay away!

Avoid

Absolutely terrible (non) service and possible scam. Please avoid.

My experience:
Ordered / paid for an office chair over 2 months ago. Gave it a couple of weeks. Nothing delivered.
I emailed G13 twice before getting a reply.
Was told it might have been "lost" by DHL, they'd check what was happening and send another chair if so.
Weeks go by but no delivery.
I send several emails to find out when I am getting my chair.
No replies.
I tried their Preston landline number - permanently off the hook.
I am even more suspicious now.
Last week I eventually get a reply from Thomas:

"Sorry for the late reply, this [my emails] has been going into my trash folder. Presume first chair is lost by dhl. Let me find out what’s going on"

Ah, the "lost by DHL" excuse again! How likely is that?

I ask him to give me a phone number that actually works so I can sort this with him.
No reply.

If this was a genuine business with even a modicum of reasonable customer care, would he not go and check his records, see nothing has been delivered (or even sent), phone me back that same day and tell me exactly when he will be despatching it? Is that too much to ask?

It has now been 9 weeks since I ordered the chair. I am sick of it and feel utterly messed around by a potential scammer. I have raised a complaint with PayPal.

Noticing recent reviews something has gone very wrong in recent months. I thought they might have gone bust but I have managed to extract 2 unsatisfactory emails from Thomas, but this experience feels totally suspect.

I know someone had a chair from them a few years ago and was delighted, hence recommending them to me but I can only relay my own experience and it is awful.

Avoid this business

Wish I’d checked Trustpilot before placing an order because yeah, just seems to be a scam. Took the money then never delivered anything. Fortunately I paid via PayPal so managed to get a refund by raising a dispute with them, directly. Avoid at all costs.

Item arrived damaged

Item arrived damaged, wet, and dusty.

Customer service seemed helpful at first, but did not fix the issue in the end.

Wanted to return as they had a 2 week return policy, however they failed to respond over those two weeks via phone, web chat, and email.

Please do not waste your time and energy on this company. I ordered an expensive chair and was told 1-3 days delivery. Never received a receipt or shipping confirmation. Chair did not show up and company would not respond to webchat, emails and phone is off the hook. I eventually got a refund back from Paypal after a lot of messing about. This company does not have sufficient funds to do a refund. Paypal buyer protection refunded me. Please avoid these frauds.
