One star heroically. Zero stars should be the right score

The only thing they do immediately is charging you.
They do not deliver.
They do not respond to enquiry about delivery.
By far the worst company ever come across on buying online.

Dear customer,

I am sorry to hear of your complaint and that you weren't happy with the service received.

We accept and agree that the service here offered on your order is not acceptable and is not up to the high level of service we have been offering for previous years.

Since your order was placed with our company, we have recently ceased trading due to a number of factors. In the 3 years we traded, we delivered to over 40,000 customers in the UK, and the vast majority of our customer base were happy with the product and service received from us.

The main factor that caused us to go out of business was our company's merchant bank we used to process payments on our website increasing the settlement delay on funds to our company from sales made.

So essentially from when a customer placed an order on our website, it took 17 working days for the funds to clear into our company's account, rather than the industry standard of 3 working days. With the incredibly tight constraints we were already working within, this tipped our company's cashflow over into an incredibly negative situation beyond repair by any means.

This was the main single factor, but there were other large factors too. We struggled to find any courier in the UK that could succesfully deliver furniture items quickly and intact without damage.

We tried to continue trading through for as long as possible, but available cash to pay bills simply ran out and we were not able to keep going any longer. We stopped taking new orders in June 2015.

We actively tried to fulfil as many orders as possible that has already been taken before ceasing to trade, and endeavoured to refund as many customer's as possible that had made us aware that they had not received their delivery.

Shortly before going out of business, our merchant bank refused to release any of our company's funds to us, which prevented us from refunding the final customer's that were due. After taking legal advice, we then instructed these customers to seek a refund from their bank directly through the chargeback process so the funds would be taken from the large figure that our merchant bank we previously used were holding on to and refusing to release to us.

Our company's email address for help and assistance is still active, and is monitored and responded to daily.

If you require any further assistance at all with any aspect of your order, or are outstanding a refund still, please email customersupport@galaxystores.co.uk including your full name and order details.

Again, please accept my apologies for the poor service you received and for any inconvenience that may have been caused to you.

Kind regards,

Blair

Still waiting on a refund

Placed an order on the 5th May 2015 and 10 days later chased as still no delivery. Was advised item was unavailable and provided with alternatives and a £10 credit. Chose and alternative and was grateful of the credit (not sure why as it was never provided!!!). Had to chase several times about the delivery of the new order and was told it was with couriers. Was advised courier would arrange delivery and after a few days checked the courier website to see it had been delivered....I had not received it and so contacted Galaxy Stores again. They provided a picture of a delivery note to a finger pointing the word porch. Had to write back to say I didn't have a porch and live on a very busy street so not great that a courier would leave £100 of furniture outside a house without needing it to be signed for (if that is what happened). On the 9th June they confirmed they would refund and I am still waiting. I was told the refund would take 14 days to process and I have chased 5 times after this 14 days has passed and they will now not even acknowledge my emails. I have now had to get my husband to contact them to see if they will respond to him instead. Totally unacceptable...I wouldn't even like to use the word service as there hasn't been any. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Beware ........

I ordered a Lloyd Loom chair from Galaxy Stores with the promise of delivery within 7 days. I was surprised that my credit card was debited immediately rather than on despatch. I am still awaiting delivery of this chair and find that Galaxy Stores can only be contacted by e mail which generates standardised replies and moves delivery or refund to my credit card no further forward. A telephone number shown for Galaxy Stores on my credit card statement is an invalid number. With the number of poor reviews now showing on Trust Pilot I have become very concerned that I will not see either my money or my chair in the near future. Go elsewhere rather than use this company.

DO NOT USE THIS STORE!

This company is the worst company I have ever made a purchase from. Don't be fooled by the good reviews on the website or any rubbish about good customer service. There is no telephone number and the online chat doesn't exist. The whole website has been designed to mislead you.

I order a garden table and chairs over 3 weeks ago with delivery quoted as 1-3 days. It still hasn't arrived and the company are ignoring my e-mails. Apparently it was dispatched nearly 2 weeks ago, but when I replied asking who the courier was I have had no response. I waited a week and then asked for a refund. One week later I have still had no reply to that request or a refund.

After doing some research on this company, it would appear that it is just one dishonest man (probably sitting in his bedroom) running some dodgy drop-ship farce. There is no customer service team. Or maybe that's how he refers to his teddy bears!

This has just been reported to Sage Pay. Thankfully I paid by credit card and after speaking to my bank I should be able to get my money back through them.

So, if you do dare to brave making a purchase through this appalling company then please use your credit card to pay. You will more than likely end up having to contact them to get your money back.

Save your money

We ordered over 1k of garden furniture showing in stock with a 2-3 week delivery. Service and communication started off brilliantly. However, once we exceeded the delivery date things went from bad to horrific. There is no phone number only an E Mail which is often ignored with the occasional, sometimes curt, response. Which is odd given I was merely chasing delivery date for something I have paid them for. Bottom line is we contacted the supplier who receive the order from Galaxy and then deliver direct. They have never had our order given to them. So if you think it's a bargain and too good to be true it is. Spend more money with a reliable firm you can talk to and ideally visit in person. It's simply not worth the hassle and stress and now the continued hassle now of charge back proceedings.

Wrong Product, Deplorable Customer Service

I placed an order for an assembled TV unit on the 20th of April 2015.

It said the order would take 7-21 days for delivery.

When it didn't arrive and with no communication from Galaxy Stores, despite two emails asking where it was, I sent another email on the 31st May.

This email did get a reply the following day which said they would chase this up for me - how kind.

With absolutely no other communication, I received an email and text message while at work on the 4th of June at 11:46am to say there would be a parcel delivered between 1;21pm & 4:21pm.

I called the delivery company to tell them I was at work and could the driver call me when they were 20 minutes away as I would have to leave work to take receipt of the parcel.

I got a call at 1:40pm from the driver to say he'd left it at my front door!! (nobody signed for it).

I was expecting an assembled unit and came home to find one small flat packed box. I straight away emailed Galaxy CS to tell them, but still as of 14th June haven't received a reply to this email.

Again with absolutely no communication until late morning on the 8th June (fortunately I was home on this day), a delivery driver turned up with a second box (part of the TV unit I assume) and proceeded to ask me if I could come to the van and help him carry the box in!! Surely if it needed two people to carry it, there should have been two delivery men?!

I again sent an email on the 8th of June to Galaxy CS and again on the 10th June to tell them that I'd ordered an assembled TV unit and had received two flat packed boxes and wasn't happy and would like to return them (they advertise a 14 day money back guarantee) - still no reply!

Would never order from this site again and would strongly recommend that nobody else does, no mater how good the deal appears.

I ordered a table from this store nearly one month ago. Still no product, no refund and unable to contact the store unless by online contact form and email. They are ignored until you threaten legal action to recover your money, then they send an email saying because legal action started they will not refund the money. DO NOT THINK YOUR EXPERIENCE WILL BE ANY DIFFERENT - READ ALL THE REVIEWS. ALL THOSE THAT SAY WITH COMPLIANCE DEPARTMENT ARE THE SAME. LOST MONEY !!!!

Unbelievably Bad Service

In past 3 months I have ordered from Galaxy Stores and on both occasions I have had appalling service. On the first order it took 3 weeks to arrive. No email received to say it had been despatched. The only way to contact Galaxy is via email. I emailed them approx. 6 times before I got a call from the haulier to arrange delivery.
2nd order is ongoing. Order item on 25 May. On 29 May I received email from Galaxy stating item had been despatched and I would get a call from the haulier. 13 days and 5 emails to Galaxy later I am still waiting. I asked the question 'how long does it take their haulier to pick up a phone and contact me to arrange delivery'.
I suspect Galaxy Stores do not stock any items and in 'Dropship' from a 3rd party/supplier.
It is safe to say I will never use this company again. I am amazed they stay in business

Poor customer service

I placed an order recently for 2 garden chairs at a cost of £250.00. The amount was debited to my account immediately. I have been trying daily to ascertain whether the item is in stock and when delivery is due and have received no response whatsoever. I have since found out that the company does not have a telephone contact number and the online chat mentioned on it's website does not exist. There are many reviews stating concerns with this company which I was not aware of before placing my order. Their website looks genuine and they submit financial accounts annually as a limited company.
Due to my concerns I then emailed asking for my order to be cancelled immediately and the money reimbursed and asked for them to clarify that this was being actioned. Once again I have heard nothing. Yesterday I emailed to say that I would be writing this review today if once again they chose to ignore my emails as there is no other way to resolve this issue.
I have contacted my bank and trading standards for advice. Should Galaxy Stores not reimburse me within 14 days, as clearly stated on their website, they then regard it as fraudulent action and will start to investigate on my behalf.
Should the company respond to this poor review I presume they will finally contact me too. It is so frustrating when a simple email from their customer service team was all that was needed to give me peace of mind.
I would not currently recommend this company to other people. Should I receive a full refund I will update this review.

Dear J King,

Blair

Quick to take money, appalling to deliver

Spent over £300 on some furniture - promised Tues/Wednesday delivery. It apparently has been dispatched but the company doesn't answer any emails, there is no phone number, the chat line is disabled the is no tracking information and no delivery information.

Use this company and pray you get your goods; if you don't good luck getting a refund.

I knew I should never have trusted them when I created an account and they sent my password back in email in clear text for anyone to see - email is totally insecure. Mind mindbogglingly stupid thing to do.

Update.

Not A Happy Customer at all

I purchased a brown antiqued trunk set back in December.
All arrived on time as expected but as soon as the item was delivered i noticed that they were not brown but black and definately not antiqued... they looked very modern also the inside of the larger chest was completely cracked smashed and there was a lot of bits of wood inside.
I immediately informed the company who asked when was best to arrange collection and they would send out a replacement for me that week.
6 months and numerous emails later, each one promising a collection and drop off the following week which i took time off to wait in for and still nothing has been done. About 2 months ago customer support started ignoring my emails when i mentioned that under the sale of goods act they were in breech not only because of the colour but because the item was damaged. I even tried writing to their mail address explaining that i was being ignored and was still not a happy customer.
Still no response.
If you're going to chance buying from them i would recommend using a credit card as if anything goes wrong you can clam the money back from yoru card provider and leave them to try and reclaim from Galaxy - this information was provided by trading standards- unfortunately i paid by debit card and there's absolutely nothing i can do without taking this to a small claims court. the £150 odd I paid is a lot of money to me but not worth me risking paying more for this to be rectified in court.

To be honest to save the hassle I'd just avoid them all together.
I've wasted so much time, lost money by taking time off work to wait in for a collection and delivery that never came and now have a rather large set of essentially furniture that isn't of use to me and i can't resell because it's damaged.
Having ready so many other awful reviews I'm surprised this company is still allowed to trade!
Like most people who seem to purchase from here i am not happy!

1-2 day delivery.... 14 days later NOTHING!!

I cannot emphasise enough how BAD this company is.
They made claims that the product I wanted was available on 1-2 days delivery, but in fact had no stock to fulfil my order. After two weeks of emailing, they were unwilling or unable to answer the simplest question such as name the courier company or give a tracking number even though they said my product had been passed to the courier 10 days before..... very odd.

This then turned into, an email saying they had no stock, and would I like to pick another similar item.... ummm no I would not, please refund my money... Days passed without any information so I looked to my credit card company to recover the money as I had no faith in Galaxy Stores doing anything for me. When I mentioned I had spoken to my CC company they said... and I quote...

"Hi James,

If you have requested a chargeback dispute with your card holder, then we cannot refund you as you will get the funds twice!!! We will have to allow your chargeback to run its course now. We could have refunded you today if you hadn’t done this!!! Very silly on your part.

Kind regards,
The Customer Support Team
Galaxy Stores"

Very silly??!!! What absolute cheek, as the CC company said when I mentioned this to them, I am completely in my rights to request a chargeback in the circumstances. I replied saying I had not actioned any chargeback, just requested the department call me, so they certainly could refund my money today :)... as you guessed it (and I had too) I was completely ignored, they were just looking to push the blame for doing nothing again and made no effort to give a refund. The next day I was contacted by my CC company and the money was refunded by the CC company within 24 hours.

Days later Galaxy Stores offered me £5 off my next order for my inconvenience..... I would not take £150 and a free product from this company. Avoid at all costs!!

60% 1 star reviews (** correct at 10th June 2015 **) should be enough to warn everyone away from using this company.

The way Galaxy Stores suppress all 1 star reviews on this site, as soon as they are posted so to hide them from potential customers until Trust Pilot get a chance to review them weeks later is another example of how unscrupulous they are. Galaxy Stores, you know exactly who I am - Order # 100035886 - why do you keep suppressing this review because of proof of purchase which TrustPilot have already received and verified??? I wonder...

The thing that will be for sure, this company will go under at some point, no company can survive with such bad customer service and practices. The problem is, where will the owners pop up next. Always be on guard and research any company before you purchase.

I purchased goods on 29th April and heard absolutely nothing.everytime I e mailed them all I got back was thier standard e mail.O yes they say to get in touch via thier live chat........dont be fooled IT DOES NOT EXIST.
I had to write a formal e mail saying that I want to cancel my order within the 14 day limit.Again only a generated response.Contacted my credit card company and they are now taking the matter on for me.This however can only be done after 30 days, which is now up.

Dishonest retailer

Galaxy stores galaxystores.co.uk is a dishonest retailer, stating they had products in stock when they didn't, then ask for a refund and got totally ignored. Have now reported them to trading standards and the office of fair trading. Also made credit card companies aware of their unscrupulous business practices.

Galaxy Stores Customer Services told me to 'get a life' when I complained

Bought a chimenea advertised on Galaxy Stores website. After I'd paid I got an email from Galaxy Store Customer Service to say they did not have it in stock (even though it said it was in stock on the Galaxy Stores website) and would I like to choose an alternative. I said no, I'd like a refund. I got another email almost immediately asking me if I was sure and wouldn't I just like to look around their site for something else? I still said no, that i wanted my money refunded ASAP and that was a week ago.

Despite various emails to Galaxy Stores since, they ignored me and there was no response to my request as to when my money (£90) would be refunded. Rude, dishonest and pushy just about sums them up!

Then I wrote this review and suddenly Galaxy Stores Customer Services team remembered how to hit the reply button on their email and told me 'I needed to get a life'. No I don't - I just need to get the money back that you took from me for a item you advertised but did not have and could not supply!

Worst online experience ever!!!!

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!! I have never come across such a terrible site!!

There is no telephone number something which I had realised after ordering my goods!! This would have put the red flags up for me immediately!

Monies taken from my account at the time of ordering which was on the 9 April. Then received an email a week later confirming my goods had been dispatched and the date of delivery would be confirmed via a further email. Bearing in mind they state delivery lead time is 2-3 days, I still gave the benefit of the doubt. I then came here and read the reviews, the red flags were now flashing at me!!!!

I then emailed them on the 22 April asking when I can expect to receive my order and had to wait till the 28 April for a response (despite sending further chasing emails in between this time) informing me that "upon notifying our warehouse to dispatch your item, we discovered that the product is now out of stock.......". They offered me alternatives to which I responded no thanks please refund my money immediately! Further emails then passed between us i.e. their generic emails advising the order had been cancelled and I would be refunded, but they never actually advised when I could expect to receive thiem!!! Finally today following a further abrupt emails to them, I have received confirmation that the refund has been made but to allow up to 5 days for this to hit my account!! All in all they have now held my money for a total of a month!! Needless to say I have been totally inconvenienced by this!!! Let's see how long it takes for the funds to hit my account!!!

I would avoid this company like the plague!!! Lesson learned, don't forget to read reviews !!!!!

Oh this was removed earlier for no proof of purchase. My order number is #100034609. Shame that don't respond to emails as efficiently!!!

EDIT

We can see that you were refunded in full on the 6th of May. The refund was made to you only 2 working days after the request was made by yourself to be refunded in full.

Appalling

Appalling. Customer service slow to reply to emails initially. Waited 1 month for delivery. Item arrived today faulty. Back of bedside table not attached properly. Also I had mistakenly not realised that the customer was meant to unscrew and turn the handle around the correct way. Here is the extremely rude I mail I received today:
Hi Nicki,
The drawer handle is supposed to be fitted by the customer!!!!! You simply unscrew the 2 screws and put it on the other side. It comes out to you like this to prevent it being damaged in transit. The product is fine and delivered as it should be. You can though return it to us if you no longer wish to keep it and we will refund you in full.

The back of the cabinet is damaged. Clearly this is NOT acceptable. No-one should have to return a faulty item.
BEWARE this company. The Customer Service is APPALLING.
Interestingly I posted earlier today and further to that sent Proof of purchase to Trust Pilot but Galaxy Stores seem to have managed to get my review temporarily removed. Maybe that is what Customer Services spend their time doing because they are clearly not spending time ensuring that I the customer is happy.
Will never use again.
