I expected far better from Georg Jensen, given their reputation as a high-end brand. I ordered two separate gifts for two people, made it clear in my order that I needed two gift boxes, two receipts, and two gift cards. Instead, I received one single box with both items tossed together, no proper cards, and no regard for the fact that these were meant to be individual gifts.
When I reached out, the response was dismissive and completely unprofessional: “the warehouse made a mistake.” That’s not an acceptable explanation for a brand that charges premium prices. This isn’t a discount retailer—it’s supposed to be luxury. The bare minimum expectation is correct packaging and attention to customer instructions.
If this is the level of service Georg Jensen provides, then they are absolutely failing their customers. Poor communication, careless handling, and zero accountability. I will think twice before ever purchasing from them again, and I strongly caution anyone considering them for gifts—especially if you expect even a basic level of professionalism.
I bought an expensive Alessi toaster…
I bought an expensive Alessi toaster and could not be more disappointed!! It does not perform the basic function of toasting bread on both sides in a reasonable time.. even my children commented on how bad and slow the fancy looking toaster was. It also short circuited and was replaced and then continued to be the worst toaster I have ever bought. Extremely dissatisfied customer.
Georg Jensen Koppel clocks
I bought three Georg Jensen Koppel clocks to put on the wall with three different world times. It’s really disappointing though, to see how the minutes are wrong by more than two minutes a week…
I initially got new clocks, but the problem was the same with the new ones. The quality is really, really bad.
I don’t recommend anyone to buy it.

Extremely Disappointing Customer Service Experience
I received a Georg Jensen wedding gift that came with a branded card including the wave number and serial—which I was told would be sufficient for an exchange. Before visiting the London store, I called to confirm, and was told I would be able to exchange the item as long as I had that card.
However, when I arrived at the store, I was informed by two staff members—Yvone and Oliver—that I could not exchange the gift because I didn’t have the original receipt. This completely contradicts what I was told earlier, and despite the gift being brand new, in its original packaging, and not suitable for our home decor, they refused any flexibility.
I also reached out to Georg Jensen customer service by email, as advised by the store, but have received no response whatsoever.
This was supposed to be a special part of our wedding experience, but it turned into a frustrating and unresolved situation. For a luxury brand, I expected much better communication and customer care. Sadly, I would not recommend Georg Jensen based on this experience.

Georg Jensen sold over 158 silver knives, forks, spoons etc. for over 200.000 SEK in "Gammeldansk modell". 14 knives have corrosion holes from manufacturing. No professionally handling after six months, acknowledging responsibility or showing any customer service...I guess George Jensen illustrate it is not the quality company anymore, as it used to be.
I’m shocked by the follow up service , in a bad way
I’m shocked by the disinterest they show when something is returned because of faulty workmanship.
The London store was helpful when I was looking and choosing pieces , but extremely unhelpful when they ruined a bracelet whilst removing a link ; this took 8 weeks and I paid for the service , but they over polished it and removed the black oxidation which as an integral part of the design . I was told it couldn’t be remedied.
Now a neck ring I’ve worn 3 times has developed a mark and as I don’t wear perfume I think it’s a manufacturing fault . I’ve been told I will probably be charged to have it sent abroad for scrutiny and remedial work.
Just not a good look for a supposed fine jeweller .
No wonder the store is empty when loyal long time customers are treated thus.

Non existent customer service
My Bernadotte kettle developed a faulty lid (reading other reviews it appears I am not alone), attempts to get in contact with customer support have been met with incorrect email bounce-backs or phone numbers that are closed from their website, and no response when I actually do manage to find an email that does not bounce back.

Beware the leather watch straps! They don't last long. This is confirmed by GJ customer service team who wrote to me explaining: "you should expect to replace the leather strap every 6-12 months". This is not something they tell you before you part with your money.
