Staff were very helpful help me find what I was looking for

The service at this store is absolutely first class, every time we visit Cheryl on the till is the most friendly and helpful person you could hope for. This store is one of the best in the country.

We visited Go Outdoors Berwick back in October 2025 looking for a new pair of walking shoes for myself. I had been suffering badly with plantar fasciitis for many months and my dad suggested we pop into Go Outdoors while we were in Northumberland on holiday. We browsed around for a little while on our own and I had pinpointed a couple of different pairs of walking shoes that I liked the look of. Gwen approached asking if we needed help. I explained my situation and asked for advice on which shoes would be most suitable. Gwen was very knowledgeable about this and showed me a couple of pairs including one that she herself wore. I tried these on in my size and Gwen went through a range of different questions and exercises on the little footbridge in the store to check these shoes were fitting correctly. She was very thorough and really knew her stuff. We bought the shoes and I wore them for the remainder of the holiday with my feet feeling better each day. I have since worn these shoes almost every day for work in school and have not suffered from the plantar fasciitis again.
We visited again today, almost 6 months later, and I managed to find Gwen to say thank you for all of her valuable advice. The time and care she took over finding me these shoes was fantastic and very much appreciated. We will always be Go Outdoors Berwick shoppers thanks to Gwen!

Cheryl, was an amazing help out on the floor and at the till. Knowledgable, friendly and helpful. What started out as daunting with so much choice and options turned out to be a pleasant easy transaction.

We visited the store today, whilst camping just along the road. The store was well organised, clean and tidy and we got exactly what we came for.
Mark served us at the till and he offered excellent customer service, renewing my membership when I realised it had expired. All the information he offered was clear and he was very friendly. A great experience 😊

Excellent service. We were served at checkout by Gillian, who asked us if we had a blue light card as we could get further discount. Didn’t even think to ask. She saved us more money. Guy in shoe department couldn’t have been any more helpful. Fantastic

Go Outdoors did an excellent free kit talk for 4th Berwick Guides (including a demonstration of hydrostatic head that used real water and a real Guide!). We got a great deal on our new tents and are looking forward to going camping later in the year. Thanks to James, Andy and Cheryl for helping to make the evening happen and making us so welcome.
