Incompetent,inadequately…

Incompetent,inadequately trained,reckless,careless installers from Kelly Communications via Cityfibre significantly damaged home of customer with disabiities person then refused to rectify for nearly 5 MONTHS now.They breached Health & Safety laws by not performing cable & stud detection before drilling into wall and up into door lintel.
They didn't say what they were going to do then quickly drilled repeatedly into structural steel beam above doorway in a load bearing wall - without using cable/pipe/stud detector first.The shrill screeching noise was so loud that couldn't be heard over it,one inside not only kept on drilling but angled the drill upwards so it did even more damage.They also destroyed a very noticeable brick outside the front door (which will need replaced).
They then left multiple gaping holes in plasterboard inside and side of communal wooden service channel which will require replacing the plasterboard on the wall.Then they left looped fibre cable in ugly way draped and looped around structures in an unsafe manner that coulld catch on things when going in and out and looked absolutely terrible.
Main installer when put tin in ONT box pulled out a llighter and was melting the end of the fibre cable with it causing bad smell and alarm - have been told that this is health and safety risk and not authorised.
Installers were asked to come back to rectify but they refused - the whole time they mostly spoke to each ther and ignored customer.They sat for some time in their van and ignored pleas not to leave it like that but they said that they had marked it s "completed".
They grumbled the whole time about low pay and one got quite bad tempered - they did not care about the damage which they had caused or the distress of a vulnerable customer.
Frankly such disinterested badly-trained uncarinf and incompetent "installers are a danger to property and customers and Cityfibre should never be allowed to send them into people's homes.
The 900mbps broadband has never worked correctly mostly staying below 50,bps (but is billed at 900mbps rate.)
Retailer Sky has NOT RESOLVED in OVER 5 MONTHS now,They said that Cityfibre told them they had closed complaint because they got "no response" from customer which is A LIE - it is Cityfibre who have never responded or done anything to remedy.Nor has Kelly Communications (who supplied these incompetent installers).
Sky, Cityfibre and Kelly Comms were told that they would have to get (and pay for) a Structural Engineer to assess the wall for structural damage (Kelly's builder Miles said this) and provide a report before remedial costs can be discussed.
Kelly Comms phoned up and tried to fob off the customer with low amount of money but were told that they had to provide proof in writing that the wall is either structurally undamaged or structurally damaged by their unauthorised reckless and dangerous drilling of a structural steel beam in a load-bearing wall but they did not arrange this ir even get back to me about paying for it (which is a necessarty first step towards remediation since structural damage would cost substantially more to rectify than replacing a brick and plasterboard,wood etc
Ombudsman diverted to CISAS (mediation) but they don't deal with property damage claims.
So please be aware that if they damage your property you may be left with a large repairs bill and nowhere obvious to turn to for help.
If Cityfibre and Sky do not promptly get in touch with proposals and date for paying costs and rectifying the damage will complain to Trading Standards,Health and Safety Executive,the media consumer champions and anywhere else like that but not that hopeful any of them will help so may be left with legal costs.
Please think very carefully before using either of these companies as they have left me in a terrible situation,do not return calls nor make proper complaint responses nor take responsibility for the damage cause by certain of their incompetent,reckless,careless,bad tempered,inadequately trained and frankly dangerous "installers" - a poorly-trained,careless unskilled man with a power drill can do a lot of damage to a property within minutes that could cost thousands to be rectified if structural damage results.

Outstanding Support from Abdul

I had a great experience with Abdul Odushoga. He did an excellent job, clearly explained what the issue may have been, and made sure everything was properly fixed. He also double-checked the connection before leaving, which I really appreciated. Very professional, thorough, and reassuring throughout. Thank you!

BT internet check

I've had BT schedule a routine meeting, but due to some miscommunication between the company and me, I wasn't aware of the appointment.
The wonderful engineer Abdul Odushoga calmly explained the situation and offered to log it with BT to avoid a similar situation happening in the future.
Abdul was very professional during the visit. He efficiently carried out the routine checks to make sure our internet was running smoothly.
