Great Service

Jamie and Saskia are outstanding in their professionalism and attention to detail. They communicated clearly throughout the process, explained every step in plain language, and handled my sale efficiently. Their friendly approach made the process easier and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for reliable legal support.

Efficient and Professional

Rachel Byles of Knights in Newcastle under Lyme acted for me on a probate sale of my mother’s house. She was very efficient, professional and proactive through-out, despite the other solicitors involved being very slow and failing to communicate. I would certainly recommend her. You might pay more for the service but it is worth it. It’s unfortunate that not everyone operates in the same way which can mean that the process is still stressful.

Highly recommended

Knights were able to step in after we were let down by previous solicitors 6 weeks into our purchase. Our solicitor Sarah-Louise was informative, friendly, helpful and communicative throughout and she managed to get us over the line by Christmas despite the initial delays by the previous solicitor. Fee wise it is much more expensive than other companies hence 4 stars not 5, but in fairness we got a very good service and timely completion was the end result. Would highly recommend

Great communication

The team at Knights made a tricky house sale for an elderly relative a much smoother experience than expected. Wonderful experience!

I'd like to thank Kirsten, Ben and the team at Knights for delivering a truly outstanding service.

Whilst working to an incredibly tight deadline, they were able to get everything sorted for me to move into my new home. As a first time buyer on a shared ownership property, they made the experience simple and easy to understand, guiding me through every stage.

Because of the tight deadline, they were always on the ball, being one step ahead to always chase whoever was falling behind. Their communication is fantastic, and they were happy to pick up the phone whenever I had any questions.

With a very tight few days until the deadline, they worked tirelessly to get everything sorted so that everything was convenient for me.

I couldn't ask for a better experience as a first time buyer, and want to commend Kirsten and Ben for providing a stellar experience.

Tia has been amazing! Since the start she has been on top of things and replies very quickly to our emails. No delays whatsoever from her end and she made the process stress free from the solicitor point of view. All the documents were sent appropriatly. There is a big team in Knights, which is a double edged wepon. It means that you will always find someone to answer your query yet it might be someone you are unfamiliar with. But to be honest, there internal communication system is amazing and we never felt that the person answering our question is out of loop. The quote she provided us with initially was very accurate and nothing changed when we had out completion statement. I highly recommend Tia and the team!

Do they even have a complaints team?

I made a complaint regarding two of their employees in July 2025. Received the auto response but no one ever bothered contacting me from the complaints team! Made a second one today (which had they addressed with the first, probably wouldn't have resulted in the second). They dont seem to respect respondents who self represent. At least in our experience so far. On the upside at least we are not paying their extortionate fees. Hopefully this review will get a response, unlike my complaint(s)...p.s. if they dont start corresponding professionally in line with SRA code of practice, I will certainly be referring to the Legal Ombudman.

Whether you are a client or a respondent, I urge not to use them and if you do and having a poor experience then refer it to legal Ombudsman if you receive a shoddy service.
