Kronos AV - Exceeded Expectations

Kronos AV exceeded my expectations with their exceptional service. I purchased a HiFi Rose 130B which, unfortunately, turned out to be faulty. However, Damien handled the no-quibble replacement flawlessly, and a new unit arrived just two days later, without any hassle. Their dedication to customer satisfaction has made them my go-to for all things Hi-Fi. Highly recommend!

Order concerns

I had some concerns about my order but after speaking to Damien in the Hayward Heath branch his professionalism was put into gear and with the help of the staff in Ireland it was delivered to me in less than 24 hours.

new bookshelf speakers

After searching for a new bookshelf speaker I decided upon the new Wharfdale Super Denton.
I found it here with the wood veneer finish I was after and a quick courier delivery.
I can highly recommend Kronos audio for their excellent service.

Great advice, keen pricing and generous trade ins!

Great advice, keen pricing and good trade in discounts have left me with only great things to say about Kronos. A family owned business with many years experience and a vast range of products represented mean these guys are great to deal with if you want to set off on a journey down the hifi road. Their knowledge is well worth engaging with to avoid expensive mistakes.

AFTER SALES SERVICE TO A NEW CUSTOMER

Borresen Z2 loudpeakers delivered in December '23

[Obviously, all the statements and comments in my review below are from my own understanding and in my own opinion.]

The MD very zealously dealt my order. I was satisfied with the communication and service at that stage.
Luckily, the loudspeakers were delivered ok.

However ...
Subsequent attempts to make contact Kronos to answer some questions was difficult, non-effective or very poor.

Examples are:
● Repeated promises from the W.Sussex branch failed (December to February)
● The MD then assured a speedy resolution. A copy of the invoice
was posted. But a request for further product information to be posted to me was not done.
● Text and email ignored.
Attempts to phone the MD failed.
● Attempts today (12 April) and yesterday to call all the Kronos numbers, including Sussex and the MD - no answer and no callbacks.

Sadly, I have now given up !

If Kronos had replied to me over recent months or returned my calls etc it surely would have been all fine.

I asked for nothing more than some after sales support on some - important to me - questions and requests
They were issues any Dealer should be easily willing to oblige, and resolve very quickly.

This is my first - expensive - purchase from Kronos.
I have waited almost five months before this bad review as l had kept hoping Kronos would answer my attempts to contact them.

These were not the only issues.
Kronos were aware of these but l resorted to contacting the UK importer direct who helped me and has now resolved the matters.

I reluctantly post this review.
I have never posted a poor or bad review of any other hifi dealer on any site.

Afternotes:

On posting this review l immediately got an email and text from the MD who was very annoyed and defensive.

I phoned him and, unless l would pull this review, he refused to talk to me.
Kronos have since bombarded me with many long emails. The last one gave me a 24hr ultimatum!

UPDATE: Despite the customer writing harsh untruths on here and other platforms and causing all of our staff a lot of stress we posted him a photocopy of the information he wanted as a gesture of goodwill.
Customer gave us no thanks or appreciation for our efforts. We tried to be amicable.

SHOCKINGLY THIS 1 STAR REVIEW IS OVER A PHOTOCOPY OF A PIECE OF PAPER! Explanation below:

If the review was honest, we would take no exception and take on board the points raised to better our service, but this review is completely untruthfully and customers deserve to know the truth, so we want to explain the true experience below:


Just to clarify, Kronos AV have won the following awards this year: Global Audio Retailer of the Year, UK Nationwide Audio Retailer of the Year, South England Audio Retailer of the Year and Northern Irish Audio Retailer of the Year.

Does it seem realistic a company who has won these awards acts like this customers stares we did?

Let us explain the true experience this customer received:

- Customer received his speaker on the exact date promised. These were hand delivered, installed and set up all completely free of charge which was a full day.

- Customer purchased these after receiving a significantly generous trade in. (DID NOT PAY OR PURCHASE WHAT HE CLAIMS HE DID!!)

- ZERO phone calls from the customer, which are switchboard can prove. Only attempt was from the customer texting our MD directly today.

- Customer asked us for a receipt. This was previously emailed to him, however he wanted a paper based receipt. We supplied this and posted this to the customer within 1-2 days of his request.

- The issue is the customer wants a brochure for his Borresen Speakers. Boressen DO NOT produce a paperback brochure, we have explained this to the customer on numerous occasions and we are trying but we simply cannot supply a brochure that does now exist.

This is what the customer is referring to when he is claiming we "didn't help him" however we explained that we cant supply a brochure that Borresen don't produce.

- 3 different staff members have helped this customer now, so to say we haven't helped is simply outrageous!!

- On top of all of this, which the customer has conveniently left out of his review is that we organised an autographed photo via the UK distributor from Michael Borresen, and the time and effort we have put in to support all this is enormous.

- Michael Borressen personally (on our and the UK distributors request) sent the customer an email answering all of your questions. Michael did this as a personal favour, but the customer says we "haven't helped"

We are so disappointed and saddened to see this attack on us over a brochure, which we simply cant supply because the manufacturer doesn't make one, but all the information is on their website.. If we could show customers all that we have done for this customer, you would be shocked!

Update: Since our reply, the customer has added in numerous false information. "iI have never posted a poor or bad review on any site." If you click the customers account, you can see ALL THE 1 STAR REVIEWS he has posted. What the customer is writing is completely untrue:

- What he claims he bought and paid for: UNTRUE (Invoice will prove this!) - SHOCKING!
- Remove the review or David wont speak to him further: UNTRUE - David asked what we could do to resolve the issue.
- Gave 24 hours ultimatum: UNTRUE - Can be proved also with an email
- Rang numerous times: Customer ADMITTED he rang the WRONG NUMBER!!
- Every question and request the customer asked for (There were many!!!) was completed for. him, except we couldn't supply him a brochure (That isn't available) which the customer has actually admitted in the review.

So ultimately if he had rang the correct number, he would have got a reply.
Trustpilot also flagged this as spam, so he is being investigated!!!! This is also being investigated for defamation under the Defamation Act 2013.

Simply superb customer service Kronos AV & IAG

Simply superb customer service from Dave at Kronos, big thanks to Danny at IAG for all the help and support, my new Audiolab 9000n arrived today and I have to say I'm blown away with the unit, sound quality is another level. So many different streamers out there it was difficult to choose the Audiolab. I already owned a Supernait 3 so was tempted by the Naim streamer, Eversolo and Hi-fi Rose. Then I remembered my old Audiolab M-Dac such an amazing peice of kit it was a no brainer to opt for the 9000n. So glad I did
