I purchased my first OLED PC monitor online. I specifically chose to do this through MediaMarkt because I had heard about the high defect rate of OLED monitors in general. I could have ordered it from Amazon for €100 less but decided to rely on the service, which I ultimately did not receive.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have the opportunity to test the product immediately upon receiving it and only unpacked it a month later. The product turned out to be defective, so I took it to the nearest MediaMarkt store, as their return guide on the official website suggests.

To my surprise, I was informed that I could not simply return the product for a refund, as this is only available within 14 days. They also told me that the store could only accept it for repair. If I wanted to return it, I would have to fill out a form, take the monitor to the post office, and send it myself to the same address from which it was delivered. Saying this is 'inconvenient' would be an understatement.

I waited in a long queue at the Austrian Post, trying to explain to the staff what I was doing (this was the first case of this type for them). I still haven’t received any response from customer support regarding whether I did everything correctly and when I can expect my refund.

In summary, this was an entirely unpleasant experience, leaving me feeling lost and confused, and I no longer have any desire to make purchases at this store in the future.

Why would any company that has money use DPD as their courier service?
I waited two days, from 11.00 until 18.00 just so my package would never arrive... I kept calling DPD who ensured I will receive it on the day, which never happened.
I tried to call MediaMarkt, twice, just to be hung up on because noone speaks English... at an international company...
I have bought the product elsewhere and I will be bringing mine back to get a refund.
Never online shopping again.

Awful customer service, they helped nothing. Luckily I use Paypal and once I explained Paypal my case, they refunded my money. DONT BUY AT MEDIAMARKT AUSTRIA!

Edit: after 3 days of trying to contact them for help, apparently the only way to solve it is to leave a bad review…

The washing machine was very good.

The experience in dealing with Mediamarkt was sad. They took a long time to email me after I paid, and then I had to wait another week as there wasn't a sooner delivery slot. Fine.

Then they come to deliver the machine, I am in the middle of work, and they say that the option I chose "delivery to your door" means only delivery to the first lockable door. So they left it at the buildings door for me, a tiny solo woman to carry :)

When I asked them to at least put it up the steps , and I'll somehow push it through the elevator and to my apartment myself, they said I should have paid 70 more euros for this.

Disgrace of a company and delivery. At least make it 100% clear from the beginning you won't bring it to my door and not after delivery send me a paper that says different than the option I selected on the website, I was left in an uncomfortable situation asking neighbors for help and very late to go back to my workplace.

Not to mention the machine showed as if it was on a big discount and any other provider showed the same machine at the same price as the normal price of that machine. Fake promotions = scam. I wish I noticed before I placed the other because other sellers had better and cheaper service.

By far one of the worst Customer Service I've experienced in my life.

I ordered an air conditioner from them, I waited for 2 months as that was the waiting period and on the day of the installation nobody came.

I tried calling everywhere, MediaMarkt, the company that should have done the installation but nobody is helpful in any way --- they're behaving like headless chickens.

I sent MediaMarkt an email to their support address and their replies baffle me to the extreme, they just sent default replies where they tell me to contact THE MANUFACTURER, which doesn't have anything to do in this case. The level of nonsensical replies is on a total different level.

Never again!!!

Edit after MediaMarkt comment: Shocker, you're not replying from that email address!! Really bad customer service.
