Quick, easy and helpful. Cancelled no quibbles

Honestly this was a very easy process to set up the insurance.

I didn't receive my documents by email but the customer services emailed me and said they were sending them also in the post.

Within the 14 days cooling off period I decided to cancel... after reading the reviews on here I was worried they would sting me, but after a short phone call of 11 minutes, my policy was cancelled and a refund was agreed.

Yes, they have a 25 pound cancellation fee, but that is clearly stated in the FAQs and T&Cs, and I had to pay for the 14 days of insurance, but the refund offered reflects the amount I expected to receive based on this.

My only gripe is paying 7ppm for the phone call. Other than that I cannot fault them.

Customer services were very polite and helpful.

Complete cowboys

Complete cowboys. They will stall setting up your account for any reason. they will ask for more documentation than any other company. If you don't provide one immediately, they will try and cancel your policy. they will cancel your policy without warning, depsite the finance company they use advising otherwise. They also tried to setup a recurring card payment AFTER my policy was cancelled, for the same amount as the regular Direct Debit. It was only after I noticed what they were doing that I realised I'd used them several years ago, and they'd tried a similar tactic then. It seems they're in the habit of cancelling policies extremely easily, and retaining the deposit. AVOID!

Don't waste your time and money.

They decided to cancel my policy after a week and took most the money I paid for the first payment. Rude staff, don't want to help and the wait to speak to someone was too long. Avoid

I only gave 1 star because I have to

I only gave 1 star because I have to
these are the worst insurance company ever
60mins on hold on a premium rate number just to tell them I`m not renewing my car insurance as a £200 + increase with no claims in the year doesn't quite sit right
they play music that would make 99% hang up but im in the 1% to stop the auto renewal kicking in , and when you finally get through n the phone the customer service sorry sarcastic customer service talk to you like your a piece s**t
NEVER EVER AGAIN WILL I BE TREATED LIKE THAT AGAIN

Minus 5 stars if i could

Minus stars if i could. They cancelled my policy without even a reason. Which puts my insurance up for the rest of my life cos of policy cancellation. Stay well away from this company and its underwriters Europa.

Appalling service

Appalling service. I resent my documents 5 times over a 2 month period. Despite their emails and website saying successfully received they cancelled my policy without taking into account their poor systems or trying anything to fix it. Don't use them!!

Awful

Awful, written communication directly contridictoy and made no sense. Put me in an awful position when I choose not to renew by sending a letter saying all cover had ceased 10 days before renewal! Trying to get it resolved was terrible. Utterly rude and unhelpful staff couldn't hav cared less about fixing their error.

Dodgy insurance company One Quote …

I took motor insurance with One Quote Direct. It was a 12 month policy. I paid by DD. At the end of 12 months when I got a renewal reminder I got a better quote from Lloyd’s Bank. I took my business to Lloyd’s. A couple of months latter I find one quote direct still taking my premium for car insurance. I called them and they said it says in the small print unless you notify them to cancel they carry on insuring you and taking premiums from your account. I told them I had not authorised this. They said if I sent in proof of alternative cover they would refund the £127 they have taken. I did as requested. Roll on to December 14 2017 I received a letter from a debt collector saying I owe £127.49 to One Quote Direct! I call One Quote Direct and they say the proof you sent is not acceptable so we sent it to a debt collector!!
I have now logged a formal complaint with One Quote Direct. My advise don’t insure with them and if you do read the small print as they will try and rip you off!!

Update.
In resolution of my formal complaint.
I have now been told the insurance certificate I have resent showing cover from Lloyd’s Bank has been received. The case is being reviewed by One Quote Direct and if their underwriter accepts my Proof of alternative insurance the money they claim I owe will be written off and the money they took for insurance after the 12 month contract had expired will be refunded.
I hope this happens now?
