Holy crap, actually the worst.

Holy crap! The worst company I've ever dealt with.

So. I'm looking for a new desk, i want a nice big gaming desk to fit all my stuff, my mother ordered here and she's got a real nice desk now.

I place my order, everything is fine, it says it'll take 3-5 days to get to me, and that's it. 4 days pass and I haven't heard ANYTHING, untill late the 4th day they send me an email saying my desk is on its way and will be here tomorrow, ok, great.

The desk gets here, delivery guy is real nice, very excited to see me and puts everything in my hallway nicely. All good so far, I thank him and they leave.

I start opening the packaging and notice that everything is soaking wet and the packaging is very poorly damaged, but whatever right? It's raining outside, it's probably fine. I get into the stuff and notice the desk is dirty as hell. There's fairly clear signs of usage from dust and whatever else. But hey, it comes off with a paper towel so it's all good imo. I'll just clean it entirely once its assembled.

Here comes the fun part; I start assembling my desk and take out the box of screws from the packaging. (Which was stuck for some reason) I open it up, and there's a bunch of screws just loose in there that could've gotten lost (I'd be surprised if I have all the screws I need) I get to step 2 of assembly and I'm looking for a plank I don't actually have. so what? Maybe it's marked wrong. I check the parts list and I start to notice all sorts of crazy stuff.

First, the top of the desk is missing. The biggest part is simply not there. The headphones holder, not there. One of the planks is double. Which i don't need. The supposedly included LED strip, not there. What the hell?!

So I call the customer support.
I get a nice lady on the phone, she says "Oh that's unfortunate very weird, let me connect you to our specialist" all fine. I wait on hold for 10 minutes, she comes back "Sorry sir I can't reach them can you try again between 5-6pm" okay sure, I'll try then.

NOW WE GET CRAZY

It's 5:20pm, I call them. "Hello I called earlier, I'm missing some parts from my desk"
"Okay that's unfortunate let me connect you to our specialists"
I wait in line for 5-10 minutes. Get hung up on. What? Okay.. I'll try again
"Hello I called earlier, I'm missing some parts from my desk, and your specialists just hung up on me"
"Oh sorry sir that's very unfortunate, let me try connecting you again" ...Ok I'll wait. Finally I'm through! I get a nice lady on the line "Hello specialists here how can I help you" I start explaining the situation, and halfway through she says "Oh sorry" and hangs up on me. WHAT?!

So I call again "Hello I called earlier, I'm missing some parts from my desk, I've been ignored and hung up on twice...."
"oh sorry sir that's very unfortunate it's very busy, let me check some info of yours"
then meanwhile I'm telling her my zipcode, SHE DISAPPEARS she just stops talking, and i can hear myself through the other side of the call. at this point I'm furious, I'm yelling "DUDE WHAT IS THIS SUPPORT" nothing.. she doesn't come back.
I hang up and instantly call again.
"Hello I called earlier, I'm missing some parts from my desk, I've been ignored, hung up on twice, some lady disappeared and I've still got nothing"

"Oh sorry sir very unfortunate, let me try connecting you one more time"
I wait for 10 minutes. No answer, she comes back on the phone "sorry sir I can't reach them"
*sigh* okay.... now what am I supposed to do? I've called plenty of times today no help.

"Yes I suggest you try calling later around closing"
Okay fine... I'll be back. Currently It's 6pm. I'm fuming, I'm extremely angry that my 300 euro desk is in shambles and useless. It's dirty, parts are missing meaning that I'm gonna have to wait another while to get any use out of this. 300 euros... for a pretty cool looking desk. But you're absolutely not paying for the service they provide. Do not bloody order here, let this company drown in its misery untill it can fix itself.

Worst service imaginable

I bought a couch and it was the wrong colour, the delivery service didn’t do what was promised. But by far the worst thing was whole I was assembling the couch it was missing holes for bolts, so I could not put it together. This was the fine straw for me and I called them to return it. They will pick it up tomorrow, but informed me that I had to repackage it, because or else they won’t take it. The packaging it came in was so poor that there was no way to repackage it so I had to use 50 garbage bags to repackage the whole thing. All and all it took me 5 hours and I was left with nothing, but anger and frustration. Update: the transporter refused to take the couch, because I did not put it in the original packaging, even though the customer service rep told me I could package it any way that was possible, even plastic wrap would suffice. So I called the customer service again and they also told me, I had to repackage it in the original form, three pieces, or they wouldn’t take it back. After I burst into tears and explained that I am not an packaging expert and I am all alone, they finally agreed to take the couch back as it is. But now I am stuck with a large couch, that I have no place for , because I already ordered a new couch, so I had to make room in another room, by moving all the furniture to the back of the room, so it could fit. I am gutted, merry x mas. Edit: they never compensated me in any matter, but they did vindictively give me a bkr registration for a couch I didn’t buy.

Worst customer service I've experienced…

Worst customer service I've experienced so far. I ordered here, but received a wrong item. 'No problem', I thought, 'it can happen'. So after contacting Otto about the problem, I was told to send the item back and I'd get a refund for the items I didn't receive. Thankfully I took a picture of the wrong item, because after sending the parcel back, that's when the headache started.

After 5 weeks I hadn't received my refund. So I called a few times to enquire what was causing the delay. Each time I contacted customer service I had to explain the story (you'd think after calling so often about this, they'd have a log file somewhere). The employees (I've spoken to 8!!! in total) kept telling me I had to prove that I had received the wrong item, by filling in a statement form, which I already had done. Or I'd receive a form to fill in which didn't correspond with my complaint / problem.

Long story short, I was so frustrated that I had to put so much effort into getting my money back for a mistake they made. All in all it took me 3 months, 4 emails and 5 phone calls to get my money back. Only the last employee was competent (and kind) enough to fix the problem.

I'm used to bol, and they solve problem within the first contact. Why it took so long, I'm still amazed.

The quality of the product are fine, but this experience was so much hassle, that I don't trust their customer service again.

OTTO is a big scam

OTTO is a big scam! Delivery was in time but we were scammed with the quality of the product. We ordered a dressoir/sideboard that said it was massive wood…and we got some cheap disappointing compressed wood piece of furniture, which costed quite some money. They are a huge scam for real as they even dare to put the wood as certificates FSC and Good product. Stay away from this company.

I ordered a bed with them

I ordered a bed with them, the bed had a 3-5 day delivery time. I ordered said bed on the 29th of November, they did not ship it until the 4th of december, meaning the 3-5 day delivery time would be missed immediately. Here’s the kicker though, this bed is being sent out in three packages. They only sent out ONE package on the 4th, the other two they sent out on the 9th of December. I am currently sleeping on a mattress on the floor as they did not provide the service and delivery time they promised me. I am beyond unhappy, their customer service is unhelpful. I just want my damn bed so I don’t have to sleep on the floor anymore.

Update: it ended up arriving the other day finally. However I ordered a canopy bed and instead of a standard bed + canopy additions I got a bed + extra unneeded parts for the bed base. As in. I received one box twice. As in. My bed is still incomplete and this is gonna take at least 3 weeks if not longer for them to resolve lmaoooo

Avoid this company!

Avoid this company!. I ordered some stuff online, and after more than a week of waiting, I asked them why didn't they deliver it yet. They said.... my account has been blocked, because I have a different address :) But nobody would have told me, if I didn't ask.

Here i am after almost 1 year of…

Here i am after almost 1 year of waiting our sofa is there. I almost can not believe it. Please stay km far away from this company. It was the worst nightmare ever. I got my bloodpressure higher because of them. I almost got sick because of them. I would like to sue them for all the stress caused to us but i dont know if thats worth my time and my money on them. Here my experience with this horrible company. First sofa ordered in december , after months of call to this ghostly call center (you talk to them but they dont answer and you are there asking hello??are you there?? i just felt ignored i felt like they take the call, then said hello this is otto and then they just place the phone on the table and not listening to you at all!! . till you finally scream and they pick the phone asking you to repeat what you JUST said AGAIN. Btw apart from the terrible call center ever, our wonderful experience its not over. When their first sofa came around april , the deliver guy told us that the bank had a hole.............. We were really speechless.... We had then to send it back.. Who is gonna to accept a sofa with a huge BIG hole exactly on the arm of the sofa... So yea.. here we start again to call the terrible call center (useless ofc.) and at begin we couldnt order it..then they call us that instead was possible and here..i really told to my husband are we sure ..?? look at the service its just horrible!! but we had to because unlucky our living room isnt big and that sofa was exactly good in terms of dimension and of design.. we had to order it again..hoping that this time everything would have been better... but ofc..that was just an illusion... because also the second time was a nightmare even worst then the first time!! After again other 5 months of waiting the sofa come!!!!!!!! almost could not believe it. But hey.. the delivery guy tried his best to build it, pity that he forgot to place 2 legs of the sofa..and we had to dismount it all again and place them.. (facepalm). But we could understand that the poor guy had to mount it fast but still..we expect you build it completly. In the end come the final surprise..we paid to get the our old sofa away but the delivery guy had no idea about it....... and ofc he did not take it. (also there..we did contact them before delivery like milions of time to be sure that the pick up of the old sofa was taking care..and they did assure us that everything was done..) so now our old sofa is there hanging in the entrance of our appartment we can barely pass there and not use one of our wardrobe because the sofa block it.) Its now 4 days and the old sofa is still not picked up. Congratulation OTTO. Do you wanna an advice, please close up because no one ever would like to buy from you EVER AGAIN.

Had a small problem with delivery box…

Had a small problem with delivery box ,with table in it. The box corners were damaged so was the corners of my table :(.And had to tape the corners that way it doesn't look like second hand.

oh boy is this a bad company

oh boy is this a bad company. i ordered a bed, 3-5 days delivery. Thought that was perfect as we are expecting our first child and we need an extra bed for grandparents. Weeks later - no bed, customer support = no help, nobody willing to help, to investigate but all giving the same excuse as the other review about the refrigerator. IT IS IN A DEPOT AND YOU WILL BE CONTACTED. I have called so many times and each time i have been lied to. i was even told that nobody will lok at this until july so tough luck for now. i have also tried to contact Senior Management on social outlets but none willing to help either. this is a terrible company to speak with. 1 star is a star too many.

OTTO.NL IS A SCAM

OTTO.NL IS A SCAM! My wife and I ordered a refrigerator on sale that was supposed to arrive in two weeks. When it failed to arrive, the staff kept assuring us that it was in transit, but that they for unexplained reasons were never able to reach out to the transit(?). After two months of this (long after we would have been able to cancel the credit transaction) they finally claimed that "oh, it got lost, and we can't order another because it's sold out" despite it still being sold in many places at the time of this writing! Furthermore, they did not refund the account, but added it as a credit to their scam site where all of the refrigerators are TRIPLE the cost of the one we ordered!!!

It was clear to us from the beginning that they never intended to sell us the refrigerator we ordered at the advertised price, and now after 2 months of lies and games they won't even refund the money that they stole from us. With false advertisements and abysmal customer service, I can wholeheartedly attest to Otto.nl being one of the biggest SCAM sites I have ever encountered. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Extra fees SCAM

*edit : They contact me but nothing changes, they asked me to still pay though they are wrong, bunch of liars*

i have been asked to pay extra fees cause i pay late, this is true but as per their policy i was supposed to receive a reminder which never occurred, they can't prove that the email has been sent but they still want me to pay though i paid few hours after receiving this last email and in good faith but still...
Avoid this website, it is a SCAM !
