They decided my dog retroactively had a pre-existing condition before he was diagnosed with it

Staff was so helpful. Alex answered so many questions and then made a note to call me back on Monday, knowing we were bringing our puppy home this past weekend. We have a policy for each of our cats and knew that, with a puppy, it was a must have to start off right. He helped me determine the best plan and truly walked me through the whole process.

Simple and clear. I understand the benefit. Signing up was easy.

I purchased the insurance and learned i would be charged 2 months which was ok. Then I was advised I was required to get a vet exam. This would cost me about 150.00. I then cancelled insurance.

I’m giving them a 5 stars because of the way they handled my baby Becca’s passing with a lot of compassion in may of 2023 .

At some point the person was reading the contract and I later recalled she said something about "prison".
It was so fast and on the phone without something to read in front of me.
That certainly can be improved.

I have been a client for years now & the pet insurance has been great for me. The only thing I struggle with is do things on-line & I don't know why. I have to click on a pets a few times before I get to the pet I need. I wish the online was a little friendly. Thank you.

It was easy to apply for pet insurance with Nationwide and reasonably priced during my initial application. Will see how it goes forward after our final policy is activated.

Do not fall for Nationwide's insurance ssam. They lure you in while you have a puppy o to reasonable rates. Then one day, when your puppy is an adult, they "rape" you with charges. My bill went up 63% one year without any promise of not gouging in the he future. In other words, next year they can raise my rates 100%, And of course getting new insurance on an older dog is prohibitive. Shame in Nationwide. Do not fall prey to their tactics. I'm writing to the insurance commission.
