Pure Gym Hastings
Good equipment, good choice of classes, plenty of equipment, spacious, and clean. Staff are friendly and helpful and the changing area and showers are modern. The Puregym in Hastings is the first gym I've visited and felt immediately comfortable and at ease

Failed restart
Paid the initial amount and setup the direct debit. Went to the gym a hour later and it would not let me in !!!

Place is filthy
Place is filthy, haven’t been in months and was shocked to see over flowing bins, mess everywhere in the toilets, really disappointed in how much the standards have dropped (edit since pure gym is trying to dodge any accountability and resort to passing the buck, instead of just doing the simple thing like taking a overflowing bin out and refreshing it, as I know they love their “gym resets” and the members of staff if they do their job correctly should be supplying photographic evidence of said complete jobs….. I’m previously a member of staff so I know how your system works.)
The gym is Aberdeen rubislaw and is already known for being a poorly kept gym in regards to cleanliness, hope this more informed review helped

Usually the puregym is staffed and I have a good session but on the 5th of July 2025 at aberdeen rubislaw gym at 2pm I walked around for a good 15 min looking for staff to open the window where I was walking on the tredmill there was no AC on people were dieing of heat the WINDOWS WERE LOCKED! NO STAFF FOR A GOOD HOUR OR 2 IM REALLY ANNOYED

We have recently made slight changes to this area, looking at improving energy efficiency. This is both to control our energy usage, but also with a look to reduce our carbon footprint. By law, we have a requirement to provide a certain amount of fresh air based on occupancy levels, and our ventilation system increases and decreases at different times throughout the day and night, making sure we meet these requirements and provide good air movement around the gyms. These levels are based on size of the gym, and occupancy levels, and are regularly monitored.
All member feedback is reviewed, and brought to the attention of our Facilities team, who regularly review any changes we make to our gym facilities and all feedback is taken into account when making any future changes.

The gym was really nice and comfortable nothing much else to say, however the vending machines were absolutely atrocious to use.
