Gym gear is good having been recently upgraded. The down side is some of the staff are either miserable or ignorant. If they don't want to be there perhaps they should consider a different career.

There’s only one leg press machine and the wait times for equipment is ruining my workouts. Waited 40 minutes to use it today while two mates just stood their chatting to each other while hogging it and the moment they walked away someone else jumped on it even though I was clearly waiting. There’s no members of staff overseeing the use of equipment and I cba arguing with men who are six feet tall and six foot wide about who was waiting longest. A machine as popular as the leg press in a city centre gym needs at least 2-3 of them!

The whole gym needs refurbishment and for the last week or so the Aircon wasn't working so it felt like working out in an oven there! Really dreading going back to that gym again unless there is a significant improvement! There wasn't even any towels to wipe the benches as everyone was sweating it out and sweat all over seats and benches!

I recently visited the Liverpool central gym for the first time, I was previously a member in the Kirkby gym but the central one is now more convenient, the gym seemed quite clean, there was lots of equipment/benches etc which is always a good sign, the only issue I had was entering the building from the street. The keypad didn’t seem to let me in. Luckily someone was exiting the building as I was entering and the pressed the exit button from the inside, can I have some instruction on how to enter the building in future? Thank you.

I recently used Pure Gym Manchester for three days and then the Gym group in Liverpool for two. My complain about Pure Gym is that I wasn’t able to register for drop in in Liverpool for some reason. I finally gave up and went to the gym group. For drop in fees it’s cheaper, but I would prefer being at Pure gym. Half of the lockers at this facility near the Liverpool museum are broken, and a bunch of the cardio equipment is by a window with sun, blazing in and no curtains. Too hot!

I can live with the fact that it's always manky due to the decent gear. However, certain members of staff stare when I'm training and it's driving me crackers. Sometimes im just walking on the treadmill and its still happening. What's so facinating though? baffling. I don't need three members of staff doing an impersonation of a meerkat whilst i'm on the leg press. They might not have bad intentions but it's not relevent. I'm no novice with gym fear but if I'm uncomfortable I'm uncomfortable. I know you know better as pts. You could do that to someone with gym anxiety and intimidate them out. Do better guys, give your heads a wobble and fluff off!!Don't want it don't need it.

It’s a very good gym, staff are amazing, and generally a good vibe to be there.

It was great had a rude guy saying bad stuff and being all rude but once I spoke to the PT he fixed it straight away which I appreciate a lot and definitely would come back again.

This Gym is so busy that it is rare to be quiet. As a young woman trying to get into the weights side of the Gym, I am terrified, and I find the atmosphere very stressful and crowded. It is unbelievably hot due to the limited air conditioning and the fact that it is underground. The toilets are relatively dirty, and there are always toilet paper shortages. Overall, I have lost all of my confidence due to the constant busyness of the Gym. It is only good if you know what you are doing and are confident.

I have only just joined this gym yesterday and on my first visit today I can’t access the gym as the pin isn’t working, I find this very frustrating for my first visit and there is no one to speak to even more frustrating!!

Reply from PureGym UK - Liverpool Central
Joining was fine but the gym is disgusting, lockers falling apart built up grime and old machines, your banking on city center gyms being high demand and not trying to improve your gym at all.
