Excellent gym which has a wide variety of equipment/machines to use. Brilliant fitness classes, led by outstanding instructors, who are so friendly and motivating. Located in a lovely setting in Limehouse marina. Would definitely recommend.

Fat-shaming in a place that should be used to promote self-confidence and positive body image is vile. I was recently made aware of an email sent out by one of Puregyms "personal trainers" to his clients and shocked is an understatement. The "PT" in question used terms such as 'fat-slob' in an attempt to motivate his clients to work harder to lose weight. Fat phobic comments such as these is bullying and are perpetuating eating disorders (some of which have the highest mortality rates of any psychiatric disorder). Nobody with the immaturity and confidence to send out this email should be allowed to work in this industry. So many people spend months working up the confidence to walk into a gym and this email is just validation of their fears. I won't be naming and shaming this PT online because unlike this man, I don't believe that bullying is ever the solution. Although, given how confidently he parades his ignorance with his clients (and all over his Instagram account) I'm sure it wont be hard for the Limehouse managers to guess who he is. I'm disgusted and I hope he's fired.

I absolutely love the classes at this gym! The instructors are enthusiastic and competent, and I always leave a class with a big smile on my face. Each instructor brings their own unique style, making every class a fresh experience. The only suggestion I have would be to add some late Pilates/Yoga classes to the evening schedule. Overall, a great gym with friendly staff and superb classes :)

A refresh is needed.
Having used other pure gym branches, I am comparing how Limehouse gym is to those braches and it is below what I expect. Certain equipment looks like it needs some fixing, today I saw 3 machines faulty, 2 were the only leg press machines at the gym, there are no resistance bands to use, which is free to use at other pure gyms I have been to. Equipment does need to be looked at and resistance bands provided.

Love Puregym on the whole. Very affordable with good equipment.
I would like to mention though that many women make the change room difficult to use. They hang their coats on the racks so the seating cannot be used. They also use the lockers without a lock, making it difficult to find one to use.
It would be greatly appreciated if the staff could leave some signage in the change room about acceptable etiquette around these issues and enforce it.
It should be comfortable for everyone to use and at the moment it's difficult regularly.
Thank you!

Machines are old and you don't have for all muscle function.
No much improvement for the last 10years .
Disabled area not in right condition such as shower ... Over 3
months minimum, since last summer is in the same condition!
Women taking over men area , while they have "separate" room !!???
Machines are not shared, "Can I jump in " it's not exist anymore. So ridiculous how members are egoist !!!
To much marketing spending but not spending for updating the gym with it's best equipment.
Cleaning room and shower dirty door sealing in the shower room is black , it should be white .
This is the Limehouse pure gym for my 10 years of experience.
More expensive and not more facility!
Passionate people would arrange the gym look better and function better with pro equipments ! That is what you want to improve and spend by the time !

Great space but the official O2 Wifi is beyond awful to the point of being unusable (with poor indoor signal unable to supplement) which is incredibly frustrating to have in your gym. Considering leaving if it doesn't change soon.
EDIT: The reply from PureGym references the WiFi that I also reference in my review. Yes, free O2 WiFi exists, but it is borderline defunct, and more frustrating than convenient to use.

This is a good size gym with plenty of equipment both in the cardio and weights areas. The cycle studio is also a good size and has a good atmosphere with the main lights turned off and just small LED lights surrounding the bikes. The rest of the gym gets plenty of natural light which is a lot nicer than some of the other gyms which are completely underground.

Good gym, but a lot of the time most of the useful equipment is occupied. I understand when there's people who want to train/excercise, but what are all those kids doing there? There's teenagers just sitting around on the machines on their phones.

I am trying to use my Vitality with Pure Gym for a while. They have the information on the website but it does not say anything. It is super difficult to contact them since most of the channels are operated by bots. I have tried Facebook, e-mail, etc. It is just impossible to have customer service. If you are planing to enrol do that knowing everything is automatic and there is no human contact for anything. So, if you have a problem, give up. There is no way to solve it. The installations are reasonable though. If you live nearby and there is no other option like me, then yes.

Limehouse gym .. well maintained and varied equipment. Plus it has natural light. Some of the other gyms ive used are windowless, depressing boxes .. Another reason to vist this gym.. Limehouse has a very good yoga instructor .. although i enjoy the yoga class the timings is not brilliant hence i was attending yoga classes at other gyms .. until Pure gym started charging extra for yoga. Not only do i resent having to pay extra on top of the additional charge for multi use membership .. the extra charge is somewhat sexist especially as over 75% of yoga class attendees are women
Clean and tidy gym! Equipment is fully working and it’s have every space that someone could need for a full workout.

After training with him now for a few months, I have to say - Connor Hurst is a fantastic PT at PureGym Limehouse, his care, passion and professionalism is next to none. He listens to your goals and works with you to achieve them, and has been a massive support on my own fitness journey, offering not only general advice when life gets stressful, but also motivation, keeping me focused on my goals. As a client, he checks-in on you regularly, and is available to speak too 24/7 to monitor your nutrition and general wellness, so his care extends well beyond the PT session, showing his genuine passion/knowledge for what he does. Since our sessions I’ve felt benefits in my health both physically and mentally, which I couldn’t have done without his support. Our sessions are fun and he’s just a kind, down-to-earth person, which makes it enjoyable to work with him - looking forward to smashing future fitness goals with his guidance!
@PureGym give Connor some recognition yeah? Cool thanks!
Overall, PureGym Limehouse is a great, clean spacious gym, well maintained with a good range of equipment and friendly staff always on hand to help!

The gym is great but there are not enough leg machines. They are always full as there are 1 of each.
