Filthy gym, weights scattered all over, rude and aggressive members. Thank God it was only a trial visit.

They say they are gonna open a new one…
They say they are gonna open a new one in the Luton retail park. Took the joining fee and 1month payment. It's been a month. Still nothing. No idea when it's gonna open.

Hi Nissy - When you sign up in 'Opening Soon' gym you make a payment for your first month and your joining fee via direct debit a few days after signing up. This initial payment secures your offer which is exclusive to member who joined before the gym open, and you won't be charged again until one month after your gym opens. You will not pay for any time that your gym isn't open. Signed up members will also get an email with the confirmed opening date as soon as we have it! No Communication - Luton Skimpot Lane
I signed up to the gym last Thurs and was provided PIN no to use on entry. Got there wouldnt work. No phone number. Sent several msgs via Facebook. They sent 1 email and Ive sent several replies asking whats going on and still waiting to hear back

Liked the air conditioner.
Quite dirty. Soap dispenser in toilets broken. No hand sanitiser available. Not enough machines. Some wobble and some treadmills don't work.

Puregym manager attempted to beat me up…
Puregym manager attempted to beat me up because I brought in a fan into the gym. The gym is always hot and I sweat a lot. The manager Mr Grant invaded my personal space and squared up to me face to face. His reason was because I asked him why I was not allowed to use a fan. I have been using fan in the gym for years I told him. He arrogantly said he was the manager and he would not allow me to use the fan. He pulled off the plug from the socket. I did not attempt to plug it back, all I did was to let him know that I had been using the fan every summer. Mr Grant became aggressive and squared up to my face .
A gym member had to move him away. He even threatened to move me out of the gym even though I am a financial member for over 10 years.
I complained to their management but they said there was insufficient evidence. I provided another gym member phone number but they did not speak with the person. They have cameras all over but they never checked. They jumped into conclusion that there was insufficient evidence when I requested for a formal apology.

I am not a fan of gyms normally but…
I am not a fan of gyms normally but, I’ve always found the staff at Pure Gym friendly & helpful. The patrons are also there to work out; not to take pictures of themselves for the ‘Gram’. My PT Lisa is incredible; pushes me far enough but not too far. She’s taken me on an amazing fitness journey and always reminds me of how far I’ve come. It’s a perfect gym for everyone, no matter what your fitness level is

BS app for a BS Gym
Tried to buy a one day access to try this gym for me and my daughter on the app, and I was not allowed to do it.
So my daughter bought one access for her on a new account she created on the app and then bought a second access for me (I had to create a second email to have a new account on the app).
All good until the next day, when we went to the gym.
On her phone the app had a QR code and a pin and she accessed the gym without any issue, my phone only had the pin (no QR code) and for my surprise the pin didn't open the gym door.
Although it was Saturday early afternoon, no staff was present at the gym.....
End result, she ended up coming out and not using the gym, I didn't got in and we lost 2 x £7.99
No worries, I'm not going bankrupt from that but Pure Gym just lost 2 customers and way more than a few pounds, as we are not joining this gym.
If someone from Pure gym reads this and wants to verify what happen, here is the info for my purchase (the one that didn't work):

Good but untidy gym
It is a good gym, great weight and machine selection, plenty of space for working out although I did go on a Sunday evening so naturally wasn't overly busy. On the down side, fre weights absolutely everywhere, not in order, no one re-wracks their weights. Poor gym decorum by some of the members. Teenagers messing around and being noisy.
Frankly the gym has great potential but more staff need to be on sight to regulate tidyness and how some members behave. I paid for an £8 one day pass. I won't be joining this gym. Id rather pay more for more mature, quieter members who re-wracks their weights.

It is in the gym rules that members should return their own weights or risk suspension, but at peak times especially it can be hard to police this.
However, staff on site do everything they can while we also have CCTV monitoring the free weights and are looking for new ways to combat this. Thanks, PureGym
This is the worst gym ever
This is the worst gym ever , I get to the gym and the app logs it self out , now I am stuck out of the gym. Took me good 30mins to get here. There is no email with my pin that should had been sent to me , I do the retrieve pin thing but it didn’t work. This is total rubbish
