Great gym!
Very good value for money and flexibility as can use any time. Classes are great too. Staff is super friendly and you never feel judged. Could be a bit cleaner for example the cross trainer machines are getting a bit dusty. Otherwise great!

No cleaning equipment in gym
I was previously member of Pure Gym Oxford Central in 2021. Back then there was plenty of cleaning equipment all over the gym floor, and the machines weren't wet from sweat. Rejoining in 2025, coming during the late evenings, there isn't any cleaning equipment in site and the price has gone up.

Staff was very helpful Matt I think his name was also took me around the gym helped me fill out my form great guy and made it very easy also very friendly people and alot of machines definitely going to recommend to friends and family from New Zealand

Please remove me from your gym your gym does not have parking in which case it is useless to me I will not use the gym please refund my money
If you don't give me my money back I will contact the bank and report fraud
you tricked me into thinking I could use the gym, but I can't because I had to leave my car
I don't want your gym Never again !!!

It's a great gym but constant issues…
It's a great gym but constant issues with the hot water over the last few months, surely it could be resolved by now and even worse when they don't tell you and you walk into a freezing cold shower!

Gym facilities are okay and there is everything I need. However men’s changing rooms need some refurbishing more lockers, consistent running hot water (yes I had several cold showers before!), more hair driers.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Well equipped gym albeit without some of the latest gym equipment. Beware the occasional cold shower!

Had all the equipment I needed, and although it was busy I didnt have to wait long to use the benches and weights that I wanted to use.

Meh.
The facilities themselves are alright, but the gym seems to suffer from some really poor maintenance, the the drink machine that you pay £3 extra for usually has mold flavour to it or no flavour at all, there's usually never any paper for cleaning the surfaces in the dispenser, lately there's been multiple power outages in the span of one week.
And worst of all (and the reason why I'm writing this review) they had a sewage leak across the entire gym, the entire gym literally smelled like poop and half of the equipment wasn't accessible because it was covered in sewage. I personally didn't mind too much, just went in did my workout and left asap. But c'mon guys, this is embarassing and probably would have been better if you just closed the gym entirelly for the duration this was happening.

The most unwelcoming gym I’ve ever encountered world wide
They are too tight to employ enough human beings to properly run a gym
They rely on preposterous technology at the door.

Each day pass expires at midnight. If you buy a day pass at 2pm, you have until midnight on the same day to use the gym. Please note that day passes do not last 24 hours.
You can enter the gym with your QR code in the app, or via entering the 8 digit PureGym pin sent across on email.
If unable to use this pass on the day, please reach out to our Member Services team who can re-arrange this for you! Thanks, PureGym
