Cancelled my membership today
Cancelled my membership today, I've been going here for around 5 months and to be fair its a decent gym, however yesterday i had an email saying they were going to cancel my membership for leaving plates on a machine by accident (first time since going) but, they were willing to let me off with a written warning.. 🤷♂️ surely a gentle reminder is the first course of action? No not here, straight to threatening a cancelation instead. FML
Its always super busy in there so sometimes you cant do a proper workout anyway , so maybe they can afford to cancel memberships or want to make some room for the new arrivals in January? Who knows, either way ill be finding another gym

It is in the gym rules that members should return their own weights or risk suspension, but at peak times especially it can be hard to police this. Staff on site do everything they can while we also have CCTV monitoring the free weights to ensure regular resets are the gym are happening, and we apologise for any inconvenience caused by this. Our team try and keep the gym a safe and clean environment for all members which includes returning weights. Really nice gym and excellently…
Really nice gym and excellently equipped for the monthly cost. Can get overly busy at some prime times but to be expected. Only minor let down is quality of air conditioning in the building, when very busy air can be slightly stale.

We do our very best to ensure that our prices are affordable because we believe everyone should have the chance to experience the gym. Temperatures/air con in our gyms are automatically regulated by Smart machines, but if there is a persistent issue staff may be able to override it and can certainly report it to be checked by engineers. Absolutely shameful!!!
Absolutely shameful!!!! Weston-super -Mare gym has been closd for the 4th day, nobody is available or approachable. The only platform isFacebook massenger, I have messged them 3 times in 2 days. Nobody answers. You have to buy day tickets to other gyms but they take your full months payment! That is the way it is..... Well done!
Just some thoughts on PureGym'a response:
They did not responsre for more than 72 hours, and nobody is available to give updates.
The opened gyms.... The closest gym was 18 miles (one way)... It doesn't help either.
The gym was down for 4 days, the contract says 24/7 access to the chosen one.
You don't look any better either way 🙂

The joining was easy however I was not…
The joining was easy however I was not told at any point that my chosen home gym, which is 5 miles away, had been closed for the weekend. I made the special trip on the morning of my joining to find a poster on the door to say it was closed for the weekend. This was obviously therefore not a new issue so I should have been told when signing up that my home gym was currently unavailable and given a list of other gyms.

So far not good
Just joined last week, no comms that’s the gym will be closed. Got there Saturday afternoon to find a sign on the door. Still had no comms in when it’s opening. Shocking

The gym was closed... Very frustrated. Signed up as working in the area of Westin super mare and pure was closed. Gutted wasted my money. It had a sign on the door. Closed due to unforeseen circumstances

We’re afraid it's true, our gyms simply are very popular and so can become busy especially at peak times, but this does fluctuate throughout the day and from day to day. Very straightforward experience, only a couple thoughts.
It's was very straightforward to create an account and try the day pass.
The only couple points of recommendation are it was unclear after paying for the day ticket that the access code will be supplied by email, once I paid the window just closed with no confirmation or redirect to the access code, I had to hope it was in one if the emails provided.
The second one was offering PayPal as a payment method option would be good, saves entering card details online.
The gym itself was great, very clean and great facilities and all the equipment was working and in good condition.

Joining process only
I’ve been asked to review solely on the joining process and while the exchange of money was quick and painfree I am struggling to find induction sessions that fit into my schedule, for the amount of money I’m paying I would expect an induction session to be extremely easy to schedule but no such luck. There do not appear to be any suitable inductions for people with full time jobs to work around.

Bit Daunting to Get Started
Facilities were great once I became familiar but the Get Started induction was a little daunting as the gym was very, very busy and you need to use your pin or a qr code to get inside There was no obvious meeting point and I had to ask the one team member that I could identify on the floor (who did have someone with him so I didn't want to interrupt) but that actually turned out to be the person I should have been meeting up with! If you were very reserved or unconfident this could be enough to put you off. I would suggest that they meet complete newbies in the outer foyeaux, welcome you and show you how to get in first and foremost!!
