Gym too COLD!
I’m a regular member at PureGym Bentley Bridge. I went to the gym on Saturday, did 3 classes but it was so cold in there I could get warm therefore couldn’t train properly. Even though the PT did warm up exercises it was in no way warm enough in there to get warm. I went again Monday, had to train with a hoodie on which I’ve never done before. The gym is far too cold to train as no heating is on.

We would like to assure you that we are reviewing feedback and will ensure this is addressed in club. Temperatures/air con in our gyms are automatically regulated by Smart machines, but if there is a persistent issue staff may be able to override it and can certainly report it to be checked by engineers. If you believe there might be a persistent issue with the temperature in your gym, please speak to the Gym Manager as soon as possible and they will be able to escalate this. I'm happy
I can easily access the machines I want to use and the atmosphere isn't weird. The personal trainers and managers are always wandering around as well if you ever need to ask anything. I had a short introductory session with a personal trainer as it was my first time joining a gym in my life and they discussed diet, goals, and showed me how to use some of the machines. Along with my protein shakes and consistency, I'm slowing seeing a nice toned figure for myself and it's only been 2 months. I'm satisfied.

Joining experience.
On our first visit Tom greeted us and made us feel really welcome and at ease. The training equipment at Bentley Bridge is awesome. We are really enjoying our training sessions. Malcolm & Val.

Air quality is not good
Air quality is not good, its a very warm gym environment,( mentioned to staff numerous times ) lacking in cleaning equipment to wipe down machines after use, some equipment is not positioned correctly and could cause injuries, ie.leg press machine too close to the mirrored wall, preacher bicep curls too close to each other and one interferes with the Smith machine, dead lift section by the weights( dumbbells) area is crowded and a potential hazard for people walking past.

We have recently made slight changes to this area, looking at improving energy efficiency. This is both to control our energy usage, but also with a look to reduce our carbon footprint. By law, we have a requirement to provide a certain amount of fresh air based on occupancy levels, and our ventilation system increases and decreases at different times throughout the day and night, making sure we meet these requirements and provide good air movement around the gyms. These levels are based on size of the gym, and occupancy levels, and are regularly monitored.
All member feedback is reviewed, and brought to the attention of our Facilities team, who regularly review any changes we make to our gym facilities and all feedback is taken into account when making any future changes.

Not really impressed by the equipment…
Not really impressed by the equipment at Bentley Bridge, Wolverhampton. Seemed unkept, rusty & worse for wear. No Pure gym personnel on the shop floor to help on how to use some of the equipment, despite during the day on a weekday. Got a free 3-day pass but only used once. Not sure if meant to be 3 consecutive days or if I can use 3 days spread out?

We always advise that new members have an induction to ensure they are familiar with the layout of the gym and understand how to use the different pieces of equipment. Inductions are usually placed on the class time table.
You can also get in touch with the Gym Manager via email, and an induction can be arranged for a specific date and time. Here you can also give your recommendations on what equipment you would like to see renewed.
Alternatively, members are able to speak to the staff in the gym (if they are not on the gym floor, please feel free to knock on the staff room door) and have an induction. Thanks, PureGym.

I used pure gym for a month whilst…
I used pure gym for a month whilst there was road works on way to my regular gym. Not a bad gym at all, it does get rammed at 5pm but found most people would let you work in with them. Bad points- machines took up with phone zombies scrolling for ages up to 20mins. Lack of a seated calf raise and a proper standing calf raise machine, alot of clips missing of the cable machines. If phones were banned i would rejoin

We’re afraid it's true, our gyms simply are very popular and so can become busy especially at peak times, but this does fluctuate throughout the day and from day to day.
Members can also use the members area via the PureGym app or website, to see how many people are in the gym.
Unfortunately, we are unable to monitor the usage of phones in our gyms, however if people are sitting on equipment we would strongly advise approaching a member of staff on the floor who will be able to help further.
We would like to assure you that we are reviewing feedback and will ensure all points raised are addressed in club.

Parking in disabled bays because you have a nice car
Whilst Pure Gym don't own the car park, they do have a duty to communicate with their members about it. Ongoing issues at the gym with people who own nice cars, thinking that qualifies them to park in accessibility/disabled bays without the correct badge. Time of day irespective. Simply lazy behaviour and the gym ignore it. I'm a member and can't remember the last communication I saw about this, despite being told they do attempt to do so.
