Great gym, great atmosphere. Equipment clean, tidy and looked after.

Great gym and even better since the refurb. The women's workout space is really well equipped and the functional area has been improved and made bigger. Lots of shiny, new equipment! But the best bit about this gym is the staff. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. I wouldn't go anywhere else. 5 stars!!

Is very good installations but I think they need someone to be more aware of the new people

Everything I needed was clean and available for use. Staff were on stand-by to answer questions and offer advice. The air-conditioning is a big plus !

I am extremely disappointed with my experience as a PureGym customer.
I have not used the gym for around a year. PureGym is a fully digital business, so it knows exactly when members enter its facilities. Despite being fully aware that I had not used the gym, it continued charging my membership and then demanded additional administration and resubmission fees after a failed Direct Debit, increasing a £27.99 payment to £47.99.
What I find most frustrating is that these administrative charges are applied by an online business with no meaningful customer service phone line. The process is largely automated, yet customers are expected to pay extra fees that appear to bear little relation to any actual cost.
In my opinion, this business model relies heavily on members continuing to pay for subscriptions they rarely or never use. The monthly fee is low enough that many people do not notice or delay cancelling, and when something goes wrong with a payment, additional charges are added on top.
I believe companies should focus on retaining customers by providing value, not by making it difficult or costly to leave. My advice is simple: if you join, keep a close eye on your membership and make sure you formally cancel it if you no longer use the gym.

No paper towels to wipe down other peoples grime. The Bristol branch has paper towels and the beckenham branch doesn’t. If this was a Covid related item, then none of the gyms should have paper towels

I highly recommend Personal Trainer Ayad, he is highly qualified and well experienced. With the tailored training and exciting boxing sessions, I noticed complete transformation in my fitness and body shape within 6 months.

Very disappointing and unprofessional experience.
I signed up with PureGym as soon as I found out they were opening a new gym in my local area. Several of my gym friends had already joined, so I took advantage of the introductory membership offer. Everything was set up correctly, including my direct debit and online account, with no issues whatsoever.
However, just a few days after the gym opened, I received a notification informing me that my membership had been cancelled without any explanation or valid reason.
I attempted to contact the gym several times by email, as there is no direct phone number available. Unfortunately, none of my emails were acknowledged or responded to, which I found extremely frustrating and unprofessional.
What makes this even more disappointing is that I continue to receive marketing emails encouraging me to rejoin, yet nobody has been willing to address or resolve the issue that caused my membership to be cancelled in the first place. I would have happily rejoined if someone had taken the time to investigate my concerns and honoured the introductory offer that I originally signed up with.
I hope this review reaches the appropriate team so they can look into what happened, improve their customer service, and resolve this matter for both myself and future members.

Pros - Excellent value for money staff friendly and knowledgeable on fitness etc. Regular cleaner does miracles and should be mentioned. Cons - Very busy at times and waiting periods for machines sometimes stretches the patience. New Changing rooms good but lockers are too small however bigger lockers have been installed now all good. Perhaps the smaller lockers could be changed for bigger ones.

I love some of the classes, especially those taught by Nic. They are hard but such great fun, would highly recommend. I have also started personal training a couple of months ago with Ashley, he is super friendly, reliable and most important for me knowledgeable. He corrects form and posture which I need, explains and demonstrates well and makes me feel safe and confident to use equipment I would not approach on my own. Progress shows in daily life for me, with increased mobility and strength. I cannot recommend Ashley highly enough.

One of the dirtiest and most unclean gyms on the planet. The toilets and changing rooms are filthy, with used tissues and rubbish everywhere. The training area is a complete mess, with weights left all over the place. The gym is poorly maintained and clearly not cleaned properly

Attended today for my booked Class at 7.20am, there is no sign to show which room the class is being held. I go to ask at the office following advice from other gym users. Greeted by a staff member who explains i am the only person booked for the class so it won’t run. Staff member then taps me in for my booking as despite the class not running the system will class me as non-attended despite scanning in at the entrance. The Staff member asks if i have booked an induction (i haven’t), where they explain they will tell you about checking how many people in the class as if not enough it won’t run. Gym floor is also crawling with people and there is barely enough room to walk through the gym let alone actually work out, so i left the gym. Complete and total waste of my time and energy, staff member was unpleasant to converse with and i felt like they were annoyed they had to come and answer my questions. I will be cancelling my membership and i’m annoyed i’ve wasted £40 on a months membership for somewhere i will have attended for 5 minutes

Booked a PT session with a female PT Agreed a session with a written follow up with the exercises covered. After days of asking I finally got a "program". 2 of the exercises out of 15 had been covered.
The ones uploaded were inappropriate due to disclosed injuries.
No info on weight loads, reps to use etc. Rushed and poor service. Negating everything we had discussed. And potentially putting me at risk of further injury.
She also didn't tell me that there are detailed exercise plans on the app if you feel unsure, as I did.
She also didn't tell me that you can book an induction. A blatant money grab with a couldn't care less attitude when I expressed my concerns. We AGREED that she would write the info down. She didn't.
Avoid.
Shady practices and her seemingly approachable demeanor is as false as her ability to do the job agreed.
Pure gym management sympathetic but can't do anything as self employed P.T.
I went to her because I lacked confidence. She took advantage and bypassed all reasonable and available free solutions to promise me a product she had no intention on delivering.
I will pursue this as a matter of principle. Pure gym need to make absolutely clear that even though staff wear a pure gym uniform, they are in fact self employed.
Taking advantage of unsure clients is utterly unacceptable.
Regarding emailing the address below, I did this the same week and was advised I would receive contact from the area manager. That never happened.

Good professional gym. Well laid out, good, new, equipment. At busy times can be a long wait to use equipment. St. Leonard’s, not on your list.
