Qpark - Cardiff Bay

We parked there last night (18/12/19) on Level 2 and then went to the excellent performance of Les Mis at WMC. On returning to the car at 10.30pm there was a queue of cars in front of our bay which didn't move for 40 minutes! People were out of their cars trying to see what the problem was but it was not clear what was causing the hold up. Eventually the cars in that section of the car park all started to turn around and exit the car park in the wrong direction. This delay is the last thing that you need after a late theatre performance. I won't use this car park again.

More of a public toilet than a car park

We parked at London's Leicester Square last Sunday evening.Very convenient for the west end and with a deal at £30.60 for 5 hours probably not too bad for London.
However it is difficult to find (thank god for satnav) and does not seem to be at all secure ,anybody can walk in and out.Spaces very tight.
Worst of all this place stinks. When we returned to the car my wife went to get something out of the boot and found herself standing in a very smelly puddle of someone's urine, just as well it was after we had been to the theatre rather than before as her shoes smelled disgusting.
Complained by email and promised a response within 24 hours, nothing !

Worst parking experience

Worst parking experience. All the bays were taken and had to circle around until one became free to use. I was there for an appointment at the hospital. I parked there for a few minutes over an hour. The ticket machine was charging me £4.60. I paid with my debit card. I check my bank statement daily with my online account. I saw that Q-park had charged me £4.60 twice. I ended up paying £9.20 to park for just over an hour. I called Q-park to let them know what had happened. After an unfriendly chit-chat with someone I was given the contact details for Mohammed, one of the managers, and I sent him a copy of my bank statement. He acknowledged that a mistake had been made. He requested I send him my bank details so £4.60 could be returned. I sent him my account number and sort code. He responded asking me for the roll number on the front and security code on the back of the card. I asked him why he wanted the details that he didn't need to make a transfer. He responded telling me he was going on annual leave and someone else will be sorting it all out for me. Several days later and I have not heard from any other staff member of Q-park and the no return has been made.

Do not use

Pre paid for a whole evening only to be charged extra at the exit barrier, no receipt option noticed and total refusal by the company to do anything about it. Utter disgrace.

Terrible customer service and overpriced. Not worth encouraging, and I will not use again.
That said car park was safe and empty (probably for reasons listed above)

bad commercial practices!

Very dishonest practice when it comes to season ticket renewal. I got charged 2 extra months for a late notice of the termination. Staff is particularly rude and unhelpful, without any common sense. To be avoided!

Just went to renew my monthly season…

Just went to renew my monthly season ticket for Reading. The price had gone from £118 to £186 in a month!
No explanation for this extortionate increase.
I will no longer use Q-park and will find a cheaper alternative.

I had a problem in QPark Cardiff Bay at the weekend when my ticket wouldn't scan having gotten wet, but was helped by the amazing Jeff. What a helpful guy who really quickly sorted out my problem and was so kind and polite. Top customer service!

Qpark "the light" Leeds

Qpark "the light" Leeds. went there yesterday for a works meal. Came back to find I'd been charged £14.50 for a few hours after working hours. ABSOLUTE TOTAL RIP-OFF. That's more than the cost of my main course!. Avoid trying to park in Leeds town centre if you can. In fact, do yourself a favour and avoid going to Leeds altogether.

Qpark Deansgate Mancheter - not a secure car park

I visited the Qpark Deansgate Manchester car park on Sunday the 5th May 2019, from around 1-00pm to 3-00pm. After parking I noticed three boys playing football nearby, so I moved my car farther away. I looked for a number to ring before I left the entrance foyer, to alert Qpark to the boys playing in a so-called secure car park, but no telephone number was displayed, other than one for the building's managers CBRE. On return to the car park 2 hours later I tried to find a toilet, but could not . The boys were still playing football, quite close to some people's cars. On leaving the car park I turned left into a massive diversion that lasted about 30 minutes. It would have been nice to have been recommended to turn right on leaving the car park, as the road that was closed because of bridge repairs had clearly been closed for some time. I was charged £4.50 - other local parks cost £3.00 for all day on Sundays, and have a person on duty to keep an eye on the park.

St Johns Q park - CCTV cameras blocked by signs

Watch out for the Q Park in St Johns Leeds which has signs placed directly in front of the CCTV obscuring the camera view. According to Q Parks both were installed on the same day but no-one then, or since in inspections, seems to think this is a problem. Don’t base your decision to park on the car park featuring CCTV as a security measure. Not surprisingly when my car was vandalised whilst parked there Q Parks couldn’t / wouldn’t assist.

SOHO branch, unsafe, fake cameras, rip off prices.

Used their SOHO branch. Looking at the reviews on here and Google now I wish I had checked them.

FIFTY TWO POUNDS for 24 hours and your car isnt secure. My car was broken into despite nothing being on show.

They hide behind "Data protection", wont tell you anything but basically the camera I was parked under (and most of the others) are fake.

You might as well leave your car in the road - it would likely be safer.

AVOID. RIP OFF.

Lying, disengenuous company

Terrible lying, misleading company/

Advertised as secure parking, my car was damaged, terms and conditions state it’s a public car park with full access to all, hardly secure.

Nice attendant said there is no cctv on the parking areas, only entry points, on complaining, the business manager suggests that on having watched the cctv, there isn’t any footage of your car being damaged. Hardly surprising if there isn’t any.

Mark and avoid at all costs
