MISLEADING WEBSITE.
Website states you can prebook leading you to believe you are actually ‘booking’ a space, handy for when attending a concert due to the difficulty in getting parked. You’re not booking anything, just paying in advance with no guarantee of a space! They will take your parking money but you could be left out of pocket! VERY MISLEADING, false advertising, you can just turn up and pay, no prepay necessary. They told me it was to beat the queue on exiting. That’s not what it says on the website. Told me to read the t&c’s but fact is website gives the impression you are booking rather than prepaying.
Excellent Customer Service
Review based on one experience. Booked and pre-paid on-line + VIP parking option at Brindley Place Birmingham. Went to exit but couldn't find a machine to follow departure procedure, might have been on next floor but there wasn't one in VIP. We tried to use the ticket at the exit barrier machine but it wasn't clear if it had accepted it and the bar code didn't work so we put the payment card in. Subsequently found that we had been charged twice. One email to QPark and all was resolved with the one payment being refunded within two days of confirmation. Based on this experience I would use QPark again.
BEWARE - enormous lost ticket charges
BEWARE! If you lose your ticket you can be charged 2 days parking according to Qpark policy. This is added to the fee you actually owe and in the case of Albion Street Leeds it is an additional £46. No Number plate recognition to assist genuine customers who have lost their ticket.
I was saved by the attendant!
Kind gentleman didn't charge me full £32 for losing my ticket. Instead only charged me £4.50.
Good heart.
Qpark UK unprofessional processes
First timer user of this company, booked car parking in Birmingham on New Years eve. They charged £10 to book, I took up took up for an extra £5 what they called VIP parking. Total £15.
So good so far, received email confirming transaction, I noted the VIP had not beed added, rang them. I believe the call centre may be in Eire.
A very laid back person Rohan announced "the computer had been playing up' & VIP options had not beed added with many customers complaining. He advised he would manually correct & send confirmation email.
The email arrived later that day now confirming VIP option had been added, OK great. But, then I noted the confirmation email was charging £20 instead of £15???/
Called again, a Robert answered, all very nice & pleasant manner, when I explained, Oh this always occurs, he asked me to go and check my credit card acct, you will find only £15. Again a very laid back mannerism.
Checked my credit card acct, he was correct only £15 had been taken.
This company is very nice to speak to, but they do not act in a very professional manner. They need to improve their processes, as it forces their customers to to sort their issues out on their behalf. Robert advised he would pass my concerns onto his management, but I really do not feel confident he will do so.
