I was recommend Rich Tone Music through a friend who had experience with them. I was very impressed with the professional yet friendly service of the staff. They listened to my needs and took time to explain things until I felt comfortable. The staff were enthusiastic, knowledgeable and passionate about their work and I would highly recommend Rich Tone Music to anyone buying or selling guitars and associated amp (etc) equipment. A great customer experience- thank you.

I had a guitar and pedal to trade. The process was really simple and all proceeded as expected.

There was an issue with the guitar I wanted being bought within the 5 minutes I called to pay a deposit but that's life and they handled it brilliantly.

I chose another guitar which arrived so we'll packaged it bordered on annoying haha.

Great people to deal with all round

I had fx pedals and a digital recorder I no longer used. I spotted an ad by Rich Tone wanting used gear. I tried a local music shop wanting to support my local business but the quote I got from Rich Tone was double. The process of sending and being paid for gear was seamless.

Sold to them before. Easy to contact, you get a prompt response and a clear evaluation. They don’t sugar coat it. You know they will try to sell your gear for quite a bit more than you will get for it, but if you don’t want to bother selling it yourself, that’s the trade off. The whole process is quick and the money is released promptly. Fortunately, I live close enough not to need to send the items I’ve sold to them. All in all, they provide a really good service.

Excellent communication, answered all my questions and were very patient with me, as I had never sold gear before. Made the process very easy. I will definitely use Rich Tone music in the future and recommend them to anyone wishing to buy or sell their music gear.

The service was very efficient and swift and the communication from the guys was excellent. The range of guitars they have is impressive. Organising post was made very easy, the guitars I’ve bought from Rich Tone have been excellent - just as advertised - and the deals I have been given for the ones I’ve traded in have been more than fair. Excellent shop!

RTM told me they'd refused to buy an item from me because it was unsaleable due to damage.

Here's some later ebay feedback for the same item, listed on Ebay the same day it was returned from RTM with nothing done bar a check it still worked after being returned

I may have caught someone on a bad day - it happens - so I'd advise anyone wanting to do business with these people to do it face to face. At least you'll have the chance to have a conversation.

RTM say it wasn't fit to be sold and stand by their decision. I'm fine with that, doesn't change my opinion one bit. Any future business will be done face to face.

Best music shop in Sheffield really friendly staff all 2nd hand gear checked I have been using shop over 10 years never had to take anything back that did not work

This company was great from the first exchange of emails to the sale of my guitar, very professional staff and great customer service. Offered me a great price for my Gibson Les Paul L/H.

Always use these guys for trades and second hand cabs. Team and really friendly and helpful. Trade in prices are fair and they are really transparent with them. Cheers

Hello there. Myself and son Will came into the shop on Saturday ( 11th October). We’ve never been in before . It’s his 21st birthday this month and I’d previously made enquiries about popping in to look at some Schecter guitars , which are his favourite and hopefully with a view of purchasing one.
Our experience from the first moment we stepped into the shop was nothing short of fantastic.
Greeted with an enthusiastic warm welcome we were then pointed in the right direction by Issac, who offered us a seat , gave an informal, formative chat and then invited my lad to try anything that took his fancy while slipping into the background , on hand for help should we need him.
Will isn’t an experienced guitarist, he’s still learning and was a bit anxious initially that he might feel too much of a novice to be in such a place, No need, we soon realised that it dosnt matter if it’s your first time picking up a guitar or a seasoned Jimmy Hendrix, Wil was immediately relaxed with the attitude and friendliness of the guys , so much so that we actually stayed for over three hours just enjoying the time there.
He had his eye on one particular guitar and wanted to try and find the sound he was looking for from
It . I wasn’t too sure what he meant but Issac had a good idea and talked with him about it , they were on the same wavelength and being an exceptional player Issac went on to demonstrate the guitars ability which is what Will was after. It was this that sealed the deal and he walked away with a guitar he was extremely happy with.
Richard also contributed to a great afternoon and was very helpful and friendly.
It left us wanting to return for more!!!!
Just a note…..Another thing we found absolutely brill was that you can just mosey around and pick up any of the guitars freely, there were no hard rules and no hard sell, the vibe was laid back and fun. . it was just an absolute joy to be there. Please pass on my thanks to the team , they are the heart and soul of the place and made our visit a very special , memorable afternoon. Don’t stop doing what you do!!!!!!!! 💪

Great shop. I've bought 4 guitars from Rich Tone music. Staff are friendly and happy to let you try guitars out. Decent part ex prices too.

Rich Tone Music is such a fab independent music instrument store. One of the few left I think so they need our support and custom. They deserve it because they provide such a great service. The staff there are always friendly, knowledgeable - and obviously as obsessed by musical instruments as their customers.

Have bought far too much gear from them over the years. They are always fair, open and honest with trade in prices, and are always up for a deal. Staff are helpful, knowledgeable and have good real world experience of using the gear they sell

I sold two guitars and bought one as part of one transaction. They were really quick clear as to the value of the guitars I wanted to sell as well as why they offered what they did, and were helpful in purchasing another guitar. The guitar I ordered arrived quickly, and collection was easy and payment after arrived quickly. Would definitely use agajn
