Takes FOREVER To Get a Refund On A Return
I returned an item and Territory Ahead received it on December 16, 2024. Now 44 days later and they still haven't processed a refund. Every time I call I am told they are working on it with their refund department. I WILL NOT be doing business with them again.
TERRITORY AHEAD SUCKS
I'd give zero stars if I could. They were a quality company once upon a time. I ordered 2 pair of pants 2 months ago, they were not on back order. I reached asking where my order is. They told me they are backordered and have no idea when they will be available. I asked for a refund a week ago and am still waiting. I recommend you stay away from this company. I may need a lawyer to get my refund....
I'm a long-time customer of the site
I'm a long-time customer of the site. In the past they were great and I had no complaints. I recently ordered four items and received none of them 2 months later. Suggest you shop elsewhere
Literal Theft
I ordered 2 shirts, and of course, they billed my credit card immediately. I then got an email saying one of the shirts was no longer in stock. I was credited about 40% of the total purchase price. I then received a 2nd email indicating the 2nd shirt was no longer in stock, but I have not yet been credited. I sent several emails, to no avail. Finally, I made a complaint to AMEX and they are working on it.
I ordered a suede jacket as gift on…
I ordered a suede jacket as gift on Dec.6 as of Dec.17 no shipment was made. Called customer service who explained they had no stock and I cancelled the order. Promised a refund within 5 days. Called back a few days later to confirm cancellation and was reassured the order was cancelled. Still no refund. Placed item in dispute with Visa. On Jan. 3 I receive a shipping confirmation for an item I no longer need. Customer Service says just refuse the shipment and if it gets lost it is on you. Customer Service lies just so TA can hold your money or claw back money from your purchase. This is criminal activity and will be reported as such. God knows how many buyers they have done this to. Was a good customer but no longer. Now off to the police to put in complaint for on-line scam.
Avoid this company
Ordered an item, paid a significant amount for shipping, received a confirmation email and waited for delivery. And then..... nothing. I contacted customer service for an update and learned that my item was out of stock and wouldn't ship for months. (None of this was disclosed to me at any point until I contacted them; simply inexcusable.) I immediately cancelled my order, but as of now, almost two weeks later, they have failed to refund my money. They have provided implausible excuses for the delay and there is no good reason to think they'll ever voluntarily return my payment. So I am doing what I suggest some other posters on this site should do: dispute the charge with your credit card issuer. If it has been less than 60 days since the original transaction, you have the right to "charge back" the payment. Assuming your case is legitimate, the card issuer can claw back the payment from TA and you will have your refund. It's unfortunate that we need to take such steps, but this abusive, deceitful company leaves us little choice.
If I could give zero stars
If I could give zero stars, I would. Ordered a dress shirt and never received it. It has been over a month trying to contact customer support via calling and email with no response. I am now out $90 with No refund, no product, no communication whatsoever. It feels like this entire business is a scam. I highly recommend you take your business elsewhere and support companies that actually care about their customers.
Once excellent, now awful
They used to be excellent but they have now farmed out the shipping to Shop. I've been waiting for a delivery and still can't get anyone to respond about where it is, either from TA or Shop. If you call their CS line, you wait on hold forever, then a recording comes on and says call back later. After years as a loyal customer, I'm done with them. Terrible customer service.
Don't get me wrong..
Don't get me wrong... I love their stuff, it's just that they often don't have the size, shipping is insanely slow (actually at the edge of being able to take legal action in the state of California), and customer service is next to impossible. It really feels like they are going out of business. My guess... Private Equity company took over. Oh yes, I just checked... that's exactly what happened. Don't expect this company to be around much longer. Oh... the company that took over is under investigation.
Horrible Company to Deal With
I placed an order on 10/29/24. The wait to speak to an agent is extremely long and so I emailed them on 11/4. I received an automated reply saying a customer service agent will be in touch. Since then, nothing. They have had my money in their bank since 10/29 and I still haven't received my order. I can't even get anyone to approve a refund. These people are thieves.
With all the negative reviews of…
With all the negative reviews of territory ahead, I wanted to post this very positive experience. I bought a leather jacket in the fall of 2023. It is far and away the best one I’ve owned and the quality was excellent also. It is a bit heavy but that is the reality of wearing leather. I have bought other items from this site as well in sales. I never wanted to return them so I cannot comment on customer support
This used to be a great store about 15 years ago. Since bought out by J. Peterman it has become nothing more than a “back order” company. They’ll take your money then ship when the get it
This used to be a great store about
Unresponsive customer service
I needed help with a very simple exchange of an item. According to their website, there is no charge for an even exchange, but they required me to package and ship it at my expense. They do not respond to phone, chat, or email help requests. The phone number hangs up after making you hold for about 20 minutes. Now I'm stuck with an expensive item that doesn't fit.
Takes orders for nonexistent items!
On September 16th, I ordered a French Dispatch Rider leather jacket from Territory Ahead and paid for expedited shipping (4-7 days). The link in the confirmation order to track the shipment NEVER worked (red flag). Always went to a dead page. After waiting 8 days for my jacket to arrive, I called them this morning and they told me the item was "back ordered." After receiving their original email, confirming my order, they NEVER notified me that the item was out of stock and allegedly back ordered (another red flag). How easy would that have been? Customer service 101. In fact, they should have NEVER processed my order without informing me that it wasn't currently available. This is TERRIBLE customer service. I wish I had checked TrustPilot before ordering from them. I used to like this company A LOT and even shopped in their old bricks and mortar store years ago in Chicago. I will NEVER order from them again. Based on my experience and everything I have read here, I think they are running some kind of shady business, or at the very least have horrible customer service. Regardless, they have not only lost my business, but I am going to zealously dissuade anyone I know from shopping with them.
Grease spots appear
I have 10 Territory Ahead shirts. When washed grease spots appear. I wash with laundry sheets. I never use a liquid detergent or a pod. Just made in America laundry sheets.
Anyone else ever have this happen?
I ordered a corduroy shirt
I ordered a corduroy shirt, total $84. After five days of no word about shipping, I wrote to customer service. They wrote right back, said, actually that shirt is out of stock and may come back in 60 days, BUT WE AREN"T SURE. After 60 days I could ask for a refund. Or now. Guess what I did? I got that refund, but what really grates on me is that they had no intention of telling me this and would have held onto my money for 2 months! Uh uh. There are many fine stores out there who give great service...this ain't one of them. No more orders for Territory Ahead.
Don't waste your time!
the return process was ridiculous. So hard to do. I'm sure it was on purpose. I ordered four items, returned and four and the gave me a partial credit. Also a ridiculous amount of time for them to process????Tried to log into my account and been buffering for 5 minutes. Can't get an answer. TA use to be a great company. I have dozens of garments from them. Now? TRAIN WRECK!!!!! Obviously from the reviews, everyone saying the same.
Would give them a big 0 if I could
Would give them a big 0 if I could. I ordered $500 worth of clothes 23 days ago and the order still has not been fulfilled. After multiple attempts to get my order expedited and continually getting the run-around I finally canceled the order. Their motto is "customer service is our priority" I think NOT!
Wow! You can't return anything!
Wow, I wish I had come here sooner! Their medium T-Shirt is like an extra large. Also the stitching shows on the outside of the T-shirt - for a $50 T-shirt that is unacceptable! That's a faulty product. I am trying to return it only to get hung up on after being on hold for 10 minutes. Also, it will cost me $11 to return a $50 shirt. I should not have to pay for a return label for bad stitching - that's also uneven (wish I could post a photo). So I google their reviews and find out I can never return the T-shirt. So sad. It is no wonder that Amazon remains the king retailer of the world. How do entrepreneurs not realize the secret sauce to a booming business is great customer service? From all the bad reviews here, does the Territory Ahead think ripping off customers improves their bottom line more than good products and great service? They should borrow a leaf from Jeff Bezos. On top of everything, they should stop sending me paper catalogs in the mail - now I realize it's a desperate attempt to lure in unsuspecting new buyers because they can't hold on to previous customers who know how awful their products and service are. Shopping here is a waste of your money so BUYER BEWARE! The disappointment of receiving poor quality clothes and the stressful return process are not worth their high prices. Save yourself the trouble - not buy from The Territory Ahead.
Duplicitous Territory Ahead
The The Territory Ahead is a very duplicitous company. If you attempt to return an item, expect them to add previously undisclosed charges, so that you will not receive a full refund. The hidden charges in my case added up to 20% of the cost of the original item. In fact in my case, The Territory Ahead withheld an amount coincidentally equivalent to taxes that should have gone to the State if I had purchased the item - which I did not do. BUYER BEWARE.
