The ordering process was often easy, and delivery was timely, with some reviewers noting helpful communication. We're sorry to hear you're concerned about your tubers.

Many dormant bare-root tubers require time to establish before producing visible growth. Depending on the variety, soil temperatures, and growing conditions, it is not uncommon for tubers to remain dormant during their first season and not emerge until the following spring.

We appreciate your patience and hope you'll be pleasantly surprised when they begin growing as they become established.

Longer than anticipated receipt of plants

Seemed like it took a couple weeks longer than expected. When ordering plants, I waited until I was ready to plant since any delays affect plant health. The plants arrived about three weeks after order.

We're sorry the shipping took longer than you expected.

During our busy spring season, processing times can occasionally be longer due to the high volume of orders. We understand that timing is important when planting, and we appreciate your patience while your order was being prepared.

Thank you for giving TN Nursery the opportunity to serve you, and we hope your plants establish and thrive.

We’re sorry to hear you were disappointed.

Many bare-root perennial plants spend their first growing season establishing roots underground and may not produce visible top growth until the following spring. While it can look like nothing survived, some plants may still be alive below the soil and emerge next season.

We appreciate your feedback and hope you’ll be pleasantly surprised by new growth next spring.

The items I received were in a tiny and looked as if they had been taken from the discard bin.

The items I received were in a tiny baggy, black, wet and out of the 10 of them only one is barely hanging on then 2 more had a tiny leaf try to wake up and rest never even tried to wake up now 9 of the 10 are totally dead.

Bare-root plants are intentionally shipped in their dormant state and often appear dark or black because they are not actively growing. The packing material is kept moist to help protect the roots during transit, so a damp package is normal.

Many bare-root perennial plants spend their first growing season establishing strong root systems underground and often do not produce visible top growth until the following spring. While a few may emerge during the first season, others commonly remain dormant above ground as they establish.

We appreciate your feedback and hope you'll be pleasantly surprised when additional plants emerge next spring.

We're sorry you're disappointed.

Many of our bare-root perennial plants spend their first growing season establishing strong root systems underground, and over 90% of these varieties do not produce visible top growth until the following spring. It is very common for only a few plants to emerge during the first season while the others establish below the soil and emerge the next year.

We hope you'll be pleasantly surprised when the remaining plants emerge next spring. Reviews posted before these perennials have had the opportunity to complete their normal establishment cycle can unintentionally hurt our small, family-owned business, even though the plants are behaving as expected.

We're sorry to hear your Water Lilies have not sprouted yet.

Water Lilies are shipped as dormant rhizomes and can take time to establish, especially depending on water temperature, planting depth, sunlight, and growing conditions. It is not uncommon for dormant rhizomes to focus on root development before producing visible leaves.

We appreciate your patience and hope you'll see healthy growth as the plants become established.

Took a bit to receive my plant

Took a bit to receive my plant, which turned out to be bits of steams with roots. Planted them according to their directions, and 2 months later, still nothing. They said it would take a yr to root and grow. $40 something bucks, not sure if I’ll ever see anything.

We're sorry to hear you were disappointed.

Bare-root plants are intentionally shipped in their dormant state and often resemble small stems with healthy roots. This is normal and allows them to establish more successfully than actively growing plants.

HORRIBLE BUSINESS

I tried to cancel the order 2-3 times due to no activity for over 1 month. The only responses I received was when I was trying to cancel my order. They refused to cancel my order. Once it finally arrived about 6 weeks after I placed it, the plants were absolutely horrible. The water lilies had no roots whatsoever and the other plants were dried up twigs. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY

We're sorry you were dissatisfied with your experience.

During our busy spring season, processing times can occasionally be longer due to the high volume of orders. Once an order has been harvested, packed, and entered into the shipping process, we are unable to cancel it because it has already been prepared for shipment.

Water lilies are intentionally shipped as dormant rhizomes rather than actively growing potted plants, and many bare-root plants are shipped in a dormant state, which often resembles dry twigs.
