Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 1,391 reviews, reviewers had a great experience with this company. Many customers found plants to be of good quality, often arriving healthy and well-packaged, with some even receiving more than ordered. The ordering process was often easy, and delivery was timely, with some reviewers noting helpful communication. Caterpillar 🐛 Food

Well, it did take several weeks for my order to arrive, they were in touch with me the entire time, explaining to me why there was a time delay. I had ordered a two for one deal. When it arrived, they were four! One of them didn’t make it, but the rest are doing very well and thriving! I am keeping them inside of my lanai in Florida so that I may have clean milkweed to feed to my wee cats.

The plants arrived in poor condition

The plants arrived in poor condition, it was just a twig. I soaked the bareroots for 24 hours and then planted them. They never took, it died.

We're sorry to hear you were disappointed.

Bare-root plants are intentionally shipped in their dormant state and often resemble small twigs without leaves. This is normal and allows them to establish strong root systems after planting. Depending on the variety, many bare-root plants spend their first growing season developing roots and may not produce visible top growth until the following spring.

We appreciate your feedback and thank you for giving our family-owned nursery the opportunity to serve you.

We're sorry to hear one of your Trumpet Vines didn't establish.

We're glad to hear that three of the four are growing well. Bare-root plants can establish at different rates, and occasional losses can occur despite proper planting and care.

Thank you for your feedback and for giving our family-owned nursery the opportunity to serve you.

While originally delayed at the USPS service center, TN Nursery was gracious enough to re-send my order of lilies of the valley and water lily roots. I won't probably know until next year how successful my plantings are, but I appreciate the professionalism I received in reply to my less-than-polite reaction to the original delay. 😀

We're sorry to hear you were disappointed.

Many bare-root perennial plants spend their first growing season establishing healthy root systems underground and may not produce visible top growth until the following spring. It is common for one plant to emerge first while others remain dormant as they establish.

We appreciate your patience and hope you'll be pleasantly surprised when additional plants emerge next spring.

We're sorry to hear you felt your plants arrived dead.

Dormant bare-root plants can often appear lifeless when they arrive, but appearance alone does not determine whether a plant is alive. We recommend performing a scratch test, which is demonstrated in the planting instructions and videos included with every order.

If a plant truly arrives dead, we stand behind our 24-hour Live Arrival Guarantee and ask customers to report it within 24 hours of delivery with photos so we can review and resolve the issue.

Experience -Terrible!

Experience -Terrible!
Two paw paw trees arrived way late… dry root and went according to their instructions, never a bud. Actually these were dead on arrival but since I waited for more than 24 hours I do not have any recourse.
The best they would do is a whopping 10% discount.
Never again with TN Nursery.

We're sorry you were disappointed with your experience.

Our 24-hour Live Arrival Guarantee is clearly stated before purchase and exists so that any shipping-related issues can be documented while the plants are still in the condition in which they arrived. Once plants have been planted or held beyond that timeframe, it is no longer possible to determine whether any issues occurred during transit or after planting.

Pawpaw trees are also naturally slow to break dormancy and are often among the last trees to leaf out. Many spend considerable time establishing roots before showing visible top growth.

Although we were unable to honor a live-arrival claim outside of the guarantee period, we still extended a discount as a goodwill gesture. We're sorry we couldn't meet your expectations and appreciate your feedback.

We're sorry to hear you're concerned about your plants.

Many bare-root perennials spend their first growing season establishing strong root systems underground rather than producing visible top growth. It is completely normal for some perennial varieties to remain dormant above ground and not emerge until the following spring.

While it's encouraging that one plant has already begun growing, we hope you'll see additional plants emerge next season as they complete their natural establishment cycle.

Thank you for giving our family-owned nursery the opportunity to serve you.

the fuyu persimmons never grew

the fuyu persimmons never grew, no leaves. Pawpaw is growing nicely. So only half my order seems to be alive. Shipping took forever also. I doubt I would place another order. The communication was fair to poor. and when I requested an update, it felt pretty condescending.

We're sorry your experience didn't meet your expectations.

During our busy spring season, processing times were longer than usual due to the high volume of orders, and we understand the delay was frustrating. Fuyu Persimmons are among the last fruit trees to break dormancy and leaf out, and it's not uncommon for them to emerge well after other plants. Your Pawpaw leafing out is encouraging, as different species naturally wake up at different times.

We're also sorry if our communication came across as anything less than helpful. That is never our intention, and we appreciate your honest feedback as it helps us improve.

Very late delivery

Very late delivery, small unhealthy perrinials, which as of July show no signs of plant life. I was just ripped off, just going to take it as a loss.

Many of our bare-root perennials naturally spend their first season establishing strong root systems underground and often do not produce visible top growth until the following spring. While they may appear inactive above ground, this is normal for many perennial species.

We understand this can be discouraging if you were expecting immediate growth, and we appreciate you sharing your experience. Our goal is always to provide healthy, viable plants that will return season after season.

Kousa Dogwoods and Red Hibiscus can emerge at different times depending on weather, soil conditions, and local climate. Bare-root plants often spend their first season establishing healthy root systems before producing significant top growth, and some may not show visible growth until the following spring.
