Not even worth one star

Not even worth one star. No end of problems, hassle, you name it we have had it. Sold a car that had "checked and passed all issues and had a sparkly new mot" what a load of rubbish. We were sold a car that would have FAILED an mot and would be deemed illegal to drive. Where they get a passed mot certification from is a myth to us. If you want no end of stress they certainly go buy a car from them. My advice will be don't visit them, don't even speak to them because their sales tactics are all sweet and sugar coated but absolutely full of rubbish. Once you hand over money they continue to talk dribble, I'm sure these conartists have special training in this. My advice is... Listen to all these bad reviews because they are 100% true. This company should be shut down and bought before trading standards and watchdog!

⭐ 1/5

⭐ 1/5 — An absolutely unacceptable experience

I bought a car from Trade Centre UK in December 2025, and it has been one problem after another. After only a few months of driving, the engine was burning oil and eventually had to be replaced.

I was without the car for around three months, with no courtesy car provided, despite having work commitments and two young children. This caused significant inconvenience and extra expense, yet the communication and support throughout were extremely poor.

After finally collecting the car with its replacement engine, I drove only 398 miles before an “Engine fault — repair needed” warning appeared on the motorway and the car lost power—with my children inside. I now need to have it towed back to them again.

After months without the vehicle and a complete engine replacement, I should not be back in the same position after fewer than 400 miles. I have completely lost confidence in the car and in Trade Centre UK’s ability to provide a safe, reliable vehicle.

I have spent thousands between the deposit, finance payments, maintenance and alternative transport, while receiving nothing but stress and disruption in return. I am now requesting that the finance agreement be cancelled and that I receive a full refund.

Based on my experience, I would strongly advise anyone considering buying a car from Trade Centre UK to think very carefully. Selling a car is easy—the real measure of a company is how it treats customers when something goes seriously wrong. My experience has been appalling.

If I could give a lower score I would

If I could give a lower score I would. Do not use these cowboys. They are nice and efficient when taking your money but if you have a problem afterwards they are unreasonable and rude. My car has had nothing but faults since I brought it and trying to get them sorted has been a nightmare. Rude staff who don't listen. DONT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!!!

⭐ 1 star

⭐ 1 star – Extremely disappointing experience

My partner and I bought a second-hand car from Trade Centre Coventry for around £8,000. We also put the car on finance, which added roughly another £8,000 overall. We understood the cost of financing the vehicle, but what we were told about the finance process was very concerning. We were told that the finance company we were using only offered finance through Trade Centre, which we later found out was not true. We felt this information was used to pressure us into purchasing the car.
Unfortunately, since taking the car home, we have had nothing but problems.
The issues we have found include:
• The window has a fault and rolls back down when trying to close it.
• The wheels appear to be different shades of grey and are not matching.
• There are problems with the radio.
• The air conditioning does not work.
• There is an issue with the tail lights — one appears white and red, while the other is completely red.
• There have also been issues with the tyre sensor.
We reported these problems to Trade Centre and had to travel from Peterborough to Coventry to have the car looked at. When we arrived at the repair centre, there were a huge number of customers waiting. We were there for over four hours, and during that time we overheard numerous other customers making complaints about their cars and the service they had received.
We also witnessed an interaction involving a staff member called George which I found extremely uncomfortable. A customer was understandably frustrated after waiting around five hours simply for paperwork to be signed, and we felt the way the situation was handled, including laughing at the customer's frustration, was completely inappropriate.
After waiting over four hours ourselves, the only things done to our car were the radio being looked at and the tyre sensor being fixed. We were then given another appointment for 8 August to deal with the air conditioning and the other outstanding problems.
That appointment was later changed because we were told the required part had not arrived. We were told the next appointment would be 23 August.
On 23 August, because we had to travel around two hours from Peterborough to Coventry, we called beforehand to make sure the appointment was still going ahead. We couldn't get through directly to the department and could only speak to an adviser, who said they would pass the message on.
By around 2pm, we still had not received a call back. We then found out the following day that Trade Centre hadn't even attempted to order the part yet.
This means we could potentially have made a four-hour round trip for absolutely no reason.
I honestly cannot understand how a company can be so quick to sell you a car but then be so difficult to deal with when there are genuine problems with the vehicle.
The amount of complaints we heard while waiting at the repair centre was extremely concerning, and based on our experience, I certainly don't feel like we are the only customers having these problems.
We bought a car expecting it to be safe and fit for purpose, and instead we've been left dealing with issue after issue and having to repeatedly travel long distances to try to get them resolved.
Overall, our experience with Trade Centre Coventry has been extremely disappointing. The customer service, communication and after-sales support have been nowhere near what I would expect after spending this amount of money on a car.
I would strongly recommend anyone considering buying from them to do their research and carefully inspect the vehicle before committing to anything.

I strongly recommend doing extensive…

I strongly recommend doing extensive research before even considering visiting this branch. My experience with The Trade Centre has been an absolute nightmare from the sales floor to the aftersales department.

The sales experience was appalling. I was made extremely uncomfortable from the outset and was told I had been “grabbed at the door” when I asked to deal with the sales executive I had specifically come to see. I was given conflicting information by different members of management and, even before completing the purchase, I seriously considered walking away.

Then came the aftersales experience.

Just 4 days after spending £10,000 of my savings on the vehicle, I reported a knocking fault. When I returned the car, the Workshop Manager acknowledged that he could hear the intermittent noise, yet I was told to “wait 6 months for the fault to get worse and come back.” I have two children who travel in this vehicle. I find that advice completely unacceptable.

I repeatedly asked about my legal right to reject the vehicle. Nobody could properly explain my rights to me at the time. I signed a repair form upon arrival, then specifically asked for clarification on my consumer rights and not one of them knew the answer. As soon as I got home I emailed to reject the car, they are now relying on that signature to refuse my rejection.

12 days later, they still have my car and I cannot even get a straight answer about what has actually been done to it, they have REFUSED to tell me if it’s even been touched. Which is an answer in its self.

I have had to physically return to the branch myself just to try to get answers that should have been provided to me without having to chase them.

The service team’s attitude has been particularly shocking. I could the hear staff discussing me behind their computer screens while I was sitting only feet away, on my own with my baby. I have never experienced customer service like this. The intimidation you have with these people is next to none, I would recommend not attending alone if you’re a woman.

They currently have my £10,000 along with my new vehicle, my V5 and both keys, while I am left with no reliable transport and two children during the summer holidays. The courtesy car they provided was also faulty and unsuitable, leaving me with further inconvenience and expense.

This has caused me an unbelievable amount of stress and frustration. What should have been an exciting purchase has turned into an absolute nightmare, I’m riddled with stress and anxiety, barely slept and want this ordeal over.

PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE YOU EVEN CONTEMPLATE THIS COMPANY. Read the reviews, understand your consumer rights and make sure you are completely comfortable with everything before handing over your money.

My personal experience has been appalling from beginning to end, and I would not recommend this branch to anyone.

Go somewhere else dont buy from here terrible after sales

Don't make anyone complete a customer servey until at least a month after buying the car . Completed three before I even left with the car only to be told about missing parts for the bonnet two weeks later still waiting for the part to come in after being told its there . Also had really bad rusty wheel nuts that they won't change due to them being cosmetics. Quoted just under £100 to replace them and was told to put it in writing for them to review it . I offered to pay for the nuts myself and ask them to change them as the experience with the bonnet is still on going and i was told no I was warned not to buy from here should of listened

Great Service

Through the whole process we didn’t feel rushed or pressured into any decisions.
We were given space to look around at our own leisure but a member of the team was always close but if we had any questions.

DO NOT BUY FROM TRADE CENTRE

Don't be a fool like me and DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT!!!! Buy a car from Trade Centre. Literally sold us a rust bucket that we only found out about on a service. Apparently they do a 72 point check, I'll assume that's on the vending machines on site as its certainly not on any of the cars they sell. The entire bottom on the car has rotted away, including suspension, shock absorbers, even holes in the brake discs. According to them it's from general wear and tear, which is impossible seeing as we've had the car 4 months in the driest summer in history. I guess it must have been marooned at sea for 6 months before they had it themselves. Terrible company who sell cars that aren't fit for the road, so save yourself the hassle and learn from my mistake of NEVER buying a car from Trade Centre. Best way I can emphasise how bad they are is if you had the choice of a car from Trade Centre or to have a vasectomy done by Edward Scissor Hands choose the latter as it will be a far less painful experience

Drove to view cars advertised on their…

Drove to view cars advertised on their website showing significant reductions. Upon arrival at the Rotherham branch I was approached immediately despite just wanting to look, this was to be told to ignore the prices marked and go by what the stickers said. Having looked at all the makes of car i had travelled to see it became apparent firstly i couldn't see the ones from the website and secondly that the prices varied massively. When I requested to see one of the said cars from the Web page I was told that it had sold, as had the second one but that deals were to be had on the ones they had although they were older. Note that the deals they could do didn't match the website reductions although possible if id have gone through the full Motions maybe this would have changed but would NOT have been like the website was showing. My assumption is this is why you cant search for specific cars online.
In my opinion the deals online are a ruse to get you through the door !
Unless one is in your doorstep avoid at all costs unless you want to pay the advertised price for a much older car or more money for the same.
2 hours driving wasted for me.
